It’s not only the holiday season, but the end of the year is coming up, and I’m sure we’ll all be busy, whether it be working, or simply spending the time with our families. I hope it goes well, and that the holidays / end of the year treats everyone well! I think it’s pretty widely agreed that this year has been pretty hard or taxing on everyone (at least, that’s what I’ve gathered), so we should all try to spread some holiday cheer to those around us. And with that, I have some people to thank / mention that made this year important to me.

You, reading this right now, even if we haven’t spoken before, or barely do so.. You’ve contributed so much to my life, really. Just seeing you around is a blessing to me.. So, like this, I thank you for waking up in the morning, getting yourself together, and doing what you need to do. I’m happy that you’ve eaten today, I’m really proud of you for that! Have you taken your medicine? Have you had some water today? That thing that you’ve been worrying about recently, I promise, you’ll look back on it and be proud of yourself for making it through to the end. You’re strong, you really are. with tiffany’s recent controversy, i’ve decided to put my muse on hiatus. it doesn’t feel right to be roleplaying her as her wishes are to remain below the radar. the scandal is a very sensitive issue, and i feel it would be disrespectful to say much about it under the guise of my muse, especially with my lack of knowledge and understanding of the subject.

that being said, i haven’t been active regardless. the summer was incredibly busy and this semester ( maybe even year ) doesn’t seem to be letting up, though it’s just begun.

( 08/01/16 ) — The thirteenth and final post-it makes an appearance behind the front door itself, stuck right in the middle of a big handmade wreath hung on the hook. Just a few feet away from the door sits a chair, on which is laid a four-page document, neatly stapled together and decorated with doodles in pink marker. Beside it lies an envelope containing two round trip train tickets to Gyeongju, and in a bag on the floor are an assortment of fireworks. Finally, on the edge of the chair is post-it with the following note:

“HAPPY BIRTHDAYAYAYAYAY! IT’S FINALLY HERE!!! I hope you’ve already turned around and saw the front door… if not… DO IT NOW. It’s a little messy but I tried to follow the instructions as best as I could. Okay, now that you’ve done that, let me explain the rest of the things. The train tickets are of course for us to go to Gyeongju, and we can set off fireworks by the river - u - and this is the essay that I’ve held off writing for so long….. I hope you accept late papers, teecher e u e. And papers with doodles—I had to add them because I think it ended up a liiiittle too serious. Happy birthday, my love, my world, my pinky lady, my everything—I’m blessed to be able to be by your side on this day, and every day. I love you so much. - Sunmi”

( 07/31/16 ) — The twelfth of the post-its makes an appearance again on Tiffany’s dresser while she’s in the shower, sitting right beside a now-burning scented candle that has been hastily lit in the time that she’s absent. ‘Just The Way You Are’ plays softly through a set of portable speakers, and a small drawing is tucked beneath the candle, both things vaguely reminiscent of a letter from what seems like so long ago. Sunmi turns off the lights and slips back out to the living room after placing a short letter on a pink post-it beside the candle, which reads:

“BABE. we’re at the day before your birthday… also also at six months!!! how crazy is that? as i wrote so (not) famously back in january, please listen to bruno mars singing about how you are perfect just the way you are. and please have a masterpiece drawing of us at our old age—because i can’t wait to grow old with you. are you getting throwback feelings yet? can you believe that was before we fell for each other? before we even really liked each other? sometimes it’s hard to think that i went through so much of life without you by my side, but from each moment the past six months, and this moment onward, i have you, and there’s no greater blessing. with that short note… please stay tuned for…. Despite its size already, there’s another note that reads, “Even though there’s not actual fire… hopefully this will do for now u w u Let’s imagine really hard! We can still toast marshmallows and try to feed it just like Calcifer. And we can move it to a better place when we’re both home. I love you so much.”
