okay giving some hcs a shot it’s a full moon in cancer and i got in the aeroplane over the sea playing like the little socialist bitch i am 

- aquaria gets anxiety around getting caught having sex, which is super frustrating for her cause she thinks semi public sex is really really hot and she knows brianna does too, so a lot of times she encourages it but it often doesn’t go so well

- she’s got all these fantasies about bri fucking her at any one of their fancy events, but once they’re in the bathroom and bri is under all the layers of her big puffy dresses she starts to stress - her! the anxious one?? she can hardly believe it.

- “bri stop stop stop” she’ll chant, pulling at the tulle of her dress until brianna’s head appears. “baby - it’s okay,” brianna will whisper, stroking her thigh. “just let go, princess. let it all go, yeah?” and aquaria nods.

- she’ll screw her eyes shut and try to focus on how brianna makes her feel but then she’s trying too hard and she can’t - quite - get there .... eventually she sighs with frustration and taps brianna until the older woman sits back on her heels.

- even though she knows brianna doesn’t care she can’t stop herself from mumbling “i’m sorry...” while bri fixes their dresses and her hair. “shhh. it’s okay. it’s normal to get nervous. we’ll try again at home if you want, it’s okay.”

- it doesn’t happen every time - sometimes aquaria is so turned on by the whole situation that she doesn’t even think about the potential consequences, like once in bri’s office or in a model’s dressing room at one of her own work events or in the back room of the catering kitchen at one of bri’s.

- they once stayed at aquaria’s childhood home in jersey with gina for a week at christmas and aquaria barely even let brianna touch her the whole time. even when gina went out and they tried to fuck aquaria kept making brianna stop because she thought she heard a sound and eventually they gave up.

- aquaria gets really sad and apologetic when brianna works hard to make her feel good and then she can’t get off but bri is always so sweet and understanding. she’ll be extra nice and gently touchy until they can head home from wherever they are, and once they’re home she’ll take good care of aquaria

Asia nods quickly and closes the door hard. The sound hangs in the air while Aquaria and Brianna are silent for a minute, catching their breath, until Aquaria starts crying. Brianna knows the shock of being taken out of the moment so quickly coupled with the shame of Asia walking in on them is a lot for her.

"Fuck. C'mere Aqua, love. It's okay, sweetheart, it'll be okay," Brianna coos as Aquaria collapses into her, grabbing onto her waist. Bri gently strokes her hair.

"Babygirl, will you let me talk to her? She probably has some questions, is that ok?" Bri asks in a low voice. Aquaria sniffles but nods against Brianna's stomach. Brianna reaches for the younger woman's chin, tilting her head upwards so they can look each other in the eyes. "Are you okay, baby? It's okay if you're not, that was pretty intense even without Asia seeing it," Brianna wipes tears from Aquaria's face with soft fingers.

"I just feel stupid," Aquaria mutters, "should have remembered she was coming." Her voice shakes. "And now I ruined it, you two will never get along."

"Maybe not," Brianna shrugs. "But I don't think we were getting along anyway. It's not your fault, love. Promise."

Aquaria yawns, her adrenaline rush suddenly wearing off. Brianna smiles softly. "Let's get this over with," she sighs. "Ready, baby?"

When Aquaria nods, Brianna gets off the bed, slides the strap off, and stows it away meticulously. She leans down to kiss Aquaria's forehead, then takes her hand to lead her out to the kitchen.

"Bri?" Aquaria asks before the older woman opens the door. Brianna stops. "Yes, love?"

"Your strap game is really really good."

quitting time

i’ve had this one half written for a really long time. just some soft wives for you, thanks for being patient with me.

SFW, brianna quits smoking and something else too

Aquaria hates that Brianna smokes. Hates it. They fight about it sometimes, and some of their more vicious fights have been over her smoking habit. 

“Hey, I have a surprise for you.” Brianna says when Aquaria comes home one day.

“A surprise?” Aquaria asks, curious. “Better be good.”

“I quit.”

“Quit what?”

“Cigarettes” 

Brianna hears a sharp intake of breath, a little gasp, from Aquaria. Her lower lip is trembling. Bri laughs. 

“Oh baby, don’t cry,” Brianna says, pulling her into a hug.

“You’d do that -” Aquaria chokes back a sob “- for me?”

“Of course, darling. I just don’t want to fight about it anymore. I want you to be happy.”

So Brianna trades in her cigarettes in favor of nicotine patches and gum to wean herself off. Honestly, she just misses her cigs - she never wanted to quit, didn’t care about the potential consequences until Aquaria. But her drive to quit for Aquaria is strong enough that she’s gonna do it. And she does, for a time. Aquaria is so, so happy to see her throw out all the packs of cigarettes stowed around the apartment.

Until one day she comes home from work late and can’t find Brianna. She sees the plastic wrapper from a box of her favorite brand on the floor and her eyes follow it up to the balcony. She steps outside to see Brianna, sitting on the ground with her legs through the railing and swinging into the night of New York, halfway through the box of cigarettes and reaching into it for another. A pile of butts grows in the ashtray next to her; she’s been chain smoking for what looks like hours.

“Bri?” Aquaria asks tentatively. Bri jumps a little. When she turns around and sees the disappointment on the younger woman’s face she immediately bursts into tears, burying her face in her hands. 

“Oh Bri,” Aquaria says, sitting down next to her and wrapping her in her arms. “Tell me everything.”

Brianna sniffles. “You’re not mad at me?”

Aquaria rubs her back gently. “I’m not mad. I know how hard you were trying, so something must have happened, right?”

“They finally did it,” Brianna whispers, lower lip trembling. “They pushed me out of the fucking firm when I’m the reason people know their names. I’ve been there since I was in my 20s and I’m the reason their numbers are so good. They’ve been putting the pressure on for months, trying to buy me out, all this shit. I’m the best fucking lawyer in New York and I don’t have a job.” She rests her head on Aquaria’s shoulder and lets the tears fall. Aquaria has never seen her cry like this. 

“Hey, hey, look at me.” Aquaria takes Brianna’s face in her hands. “Fuck that, fuck them. You always were too good for them. I’m sorry.” She pulls Bri in tight. 

“And you know,” she continues, “not to move on too quickly or anything, but what’s stopping you from starting your own firm? You have the reputation for it. Go solo; take all your clients with you. You could do it.”

Brianna sniffles. “I have enough dirt on them to demolish their reputations, that would be fun, did you know that Bernard has an offshore account in -”

“Oooookay, Bri, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, yeah? I’m sure if you have that kind of dirt on them, they have dirt on you.”

“I don’t have any dirt to dig up!” Brianna protests.

“Delusion!!” Aquaria laughs. “For starters you’re dating a 23 year old you used to pay for sex, sooo...”

“Okay, well, that’s - that’s a fair point, actually.”

Aquaria reaches up to pat her honey blonde hair back into place where a worried hand had pushed it upwards. 

“I think Heller and Associates sounds rather nice,” she muses, pulling the unfinished cigarette from between Bri’s trembling fingers before it can reach her lips and putting it out. “Better than Heller-Bernard Group anyway.” 

That earns a small grateful smile from a still-sniffling Brianna. “You think so?”

“I do. How about we go to bed, and you can call some clients tomorrow, put some feelers out?” 

Bri nods. “That sounds really good. Thank you, Aqua. And I’m sorry about the smoking, it was just the only thing I could think to do.”

“It’s okay, Bri. We’ll try again.”

By the time Aquaria gets home from work the next day, Brianna is buzzing around the penthouse, papers scattered everywhere. When she sees Aquaria her eyes light up. 

“Top three clients have already signed contracts to come with me when I make the move,” she says gleefully, tossing papers towards Aquaria, “my secretary has put in her two weeks with Bernard, I’ve got permits sent to the city on rush order, and I’m going to look at an office space down the block tomorrow.” A big grin slides across her face. “I’m amazing, you don’t have to tell me.”

“You’re unstoppable, Brianna,” Aquaria smiles. “What’s even left to do?”

“Well,” Brianna boosts herself up onto the kitchen counter, reaching to pour them both a glass of wine, “I do need a logo, for marketing materials and such....and I happen to have a babygirl who’s pretty amazing with design, so I thought maybe -”

“Yes! Oh my goodness I have so many ideas, Bri!” 

“Hey wait, I was talking about my other babygirl,” Brianna chides. 

“Oh don’t you even joke, Brianna Heller, I’ll take you down,” Aquaria says even as she steps forward to settle herself between Bri’s legs where she sits on the counter. 

“You could never,” Brianna says, pulling her face up towards her own. “I’m the best lawyer in New York.”

When they first talk about children, Brianna is undressing slowly, teasing Aquaria. She tosses her bra at the younger woman and Aquaria laughs when it lands in her lap.

“Oh my god, you’re so hot. I wanna have your babies,” she says with a giggle. 

Brianna is so freaked out by the mention of kids that she changes her mind, immediately pulling on pajamas. By the time Aquaria can catch up, Bri’s in bed with her reading glasses on.

“Um, huh. I really thought that was going somewhere else, Bri,” Aquaria chides. “Is it cause I said the babies thing? You know that was a joke, right?”

Bri doesn’t look at her. “Yes, I know.”

Brianna’s secretive about her past and Aquaria’s brain starts spinning stories. What if she’s just dug up some long repressed memory? What if Bri can’t have kids? What if she had a teenage pregnancy and has a kid out there somewhere?

“Do you…” Aquaria hesitates. “Do you not want kids?” 

“No. But I’m sure you do, and now you’ll go ‘well, this has been fun, but i don’t really see much of a future here,’ and we’ll bump into each other occasionally but it’ll always be a little awkward.” Oh. Aquaria gets it now. Brianna’s clearly been through this before. She grasps her hand.

“I don’t want kids, Brianna. I never really have and I’m fairly confident I never will.”

“Really?” Brianna sounds so relieved, visibly relaxing. She lets herself breathe. “Every major relationship I’ve ever been in ended over kids. I think I was hoping if we never talked about it, it would never come up.”

“Oh, Bri,” Aquaria scooches closer, swinging a leg over her hips. 

“I don’t think I could share you anyway,” Aquaria says, “I’m a whole full time job!” Brianna laughs at that. “And I suppose now I’m never getting rid of you, huh?” Aquaria rolls onto the older woman, taking her glasses off and placing them on the table before leaning down to kiss her. 

“Nope.”
