I just got finished putting together a sofa and a dining set. My thumb is swollen now but it's worth it. I have to make another trip back to Home Depot and I have so much left to do. As I was pushing around furniture I had a few epiphanies. There is a new brand of man out here. They are overly confident without reason and bring very little to the table. Pretty much a leech. I have had financial leeches, emotional and mental leeches as well. They don't add anything but they will ask for whatever they want. I always catch myself giving chances to men who only possess potential. I'm sooo done. This is why some men end up with cold women who use and cheat on them. If a man will never take the time to honor and adore the woman who gets her own, works hard, will support them and provide a home then good luck and move tf on. There might be one or two men let out there with potential that just needs to be uncovered and a strong female partner to support them through. But thanks to the f**kboys out here nowadays soon enough it will be hard to find a woman who still have the strength to take that chance. So I shared how I big I am on supporting people especially my loved ones. My friends @tyshia_shante and @cortneelove started a makeup line. I was super proud to make this purchase. I clicked through the website and enjoyed the entire @shopbellemarron experience. I cry easy but I did not cry but I was being really mushy at every stage of the process. This pretty much sums up trying to date in 2017. It's a shame that so many men miss out on all of the perks that some women have to offer just because the man can't see pass his shallow desires. One of my friends husbands' said something to the effect of "being the good guy is actually kind of lit." Not a direct quite but same idea. But either way, do y'all. I was playing around with filters the other day. But the quote is real to my heart. With everything going on, I really appreciate small joys. A night out of dancing. Hanging with family and friends. I realize this is why I hate networking events and talking to that "typical salesperson". I am a complete extrovert when it comes to anything else though. I just hate spending hours on small talk. I am super genuine and honest by nature. If I can't be my true self I get really awkward or withdrawn. Now if I have a buddy then I'm a lot better. That buddy has to know me well though. Sometimes I tell sarcastic or sad jokes and I tell crazy stories. I need a trusted buffer to explain that I'm just joking or I'm a good person lol. Dating nowadays is again not what I expected it to be. We grew up watching people on TV go on nice dates all of the time. What happened? Why is going on a date so scary to men? I have heard stories of women using men... But the reality is men use women for sex all the time. The other reality is that not everybody is a user. I keep seeing posts by other women my age asking the same thing. It seems to be a trend to be a f**k boy. I feel people get so sucked into mainstream media and society's idea that being a "Playa" and not catching feelings has spread like a disease. Some men are so weak minded that they don't realize that there are just certain things in life that would be easier with a mate. On the flip side, yes we as women joke about not catching feelings too. BUT most of the women I know who say that use it as a defense mechanism. For the right person most of us would be prepared to be that one man's everything. We just can't give everything away to everybody though. Lord knows men with ill intentions will try us. It all starts with the date. PLAN IT. Yes it's okay to run ideas past her but don't be the "when Imma c u" or "hit me up" guy. No. Also, it doesn't have to be crazy expensive. That's another misconception. A well thought out date will due just fine. Some of us women would love to dress to kill and be on your arm. Having conversation, asking about goals and future plans. Then bragging on you and all of your accomplishments to our mamas later. Stop trying to be so cool. Stop sliding in the DMs just to be a creep or to smash.
