I associate basically any GameCube game but especially Majora's Mask with my early teen years because it was one of like 5 games we had to play at my dad's house. We didn't have a memory card and only a few hours to play every weekend, plus I was sharing it with my #gamer brother. Basically I ended up playing through the first 3 day cycle on loop because that's as far as I could get before I had to turn the game off.

I’ve been waiting since March to post this...
Speaking from experience as a Seasoned Glasses Wearer, the face shapes thing is bullshit. You're always gonna feel more comfortable in frames you like the shape of, regardless of if it's "flattering", and what is flattering is subjective anyway. If you think they make you look like a dork, that's the very definition of not flattering.
Supposedly cat eye frames are awful for my face. I wear them anyway bc I think they're fun. I'm "supposed" to wear rectangle frames and I did for years and was rarely happy with how I looked in them. Personal preference is more important than whatever fashion rule they give you.
And it may take a while to find a style you like just bc it's new to you. You're used to your face without them, it's a big change that will take some settling in. Next time you get a new pair you'll be more accustomed to your face in them in general, so it might be easier to find something you actually like. Right now everything's gonna look weird. There's an adjustment period.

People keep saying this over and over. But I repeat: there are NO glasses I like. I've tried every pair at every store I've been to. I've now spent multiple years trying to find something that doesn't look awful. It doesn't exist. I repeat: All glasses look bad on me.
Right, because it's new, that's the point I'm making. Everything is gonna look bad or wrong on your face to you because you feel like you're not looking at your face when you see them. It's uncomfortable because it's new. You don't like the look because that's not what you're supposed to look like in your brain. Over time, this perception will likely change as you get more acclimated to what you look like wearing them in general. Almost nobody likes what they look like in glasses, any glasses, until they've been wearing them for a while. You won't like them until you get used to them and start seeing them as a normal part of how your face looks. Until then it's hard to determine what looks good, because nothing will because That's Not My Face. They get less intrusive over time. My whole point is you're not GOING to like them now. You have to acclimate. Give it time.

No it's fine I loooooooooove getting our tax return only to have Scottie's truck immediately refuse to start and need to be towed to the mechanic for thus far unknown reasons. I looooooooooooove when I make money doing a favor for a friend and don't get to spend that money on anything I planned to spend it on because we have to have two vehicles. I super DUPER looooooooooooove my husband reminding me that the only reason we made it through last year financially was the tax return, and then finding out the very next day that we might very well not have that money this year because we're going to have to spend it all on fixing or replacing his truck, when this year was already going to be a struggle even with the money because the government is run by assholes. No, really. Love all that. Ideal scenario, truly. So thrilled.
Hey so vent post above but my husband's truck apparently needs the whole ass engine replaced or we need a whole new vehicle. We can't really afford to add another several-hundred dollar bill which means his options are either replace the engine ($6800) or buy a cash car. We got our tax return which isn't even enough for the engine replacement and like I said above, the only reason we stayed in the black this last year was being able to pull from the return when things got tight. Everything's already more expensive this year and now we have a bill wiping out our entire cushion.

Having consulted the various Car People he knows, the best course of action is to just replace the motor, so we're looking at a $6800 bill that is gonna wipe out our savings. If anyone can donate so we can at least break even, we'd appreciate it, as we currently only have about $5000 in the bank.
