Ever since I was a child, I can already foresee myself as a future shoe-junkie. I could still remember telling myself when I was around 8 years old that someday, I'd be able to have my own space filled with all my shoe collection. Little by little, I got to have a glimpse of that dream of mine. I started saving up my daily allowances just to be able to buy what I'd like to say now as my collections. We were not actually raised having all the lavishes in life. I and my siblings were taught how to be independent and responsible with our money. I was never spoiled by my parents by buying me my WANTS more than my NEEDS. I can totally understand them for that. Essential things are far more important that having to bloat myself with materialistic possessions.
But then (HAHAHA), I couldn't just allow myself to let go off the only thing (at least) that could make me genuinely in love with. And so, through the years, I was able to acquire and accumulate a number of those shoes having to use my own savings. Yes. I didn't ask for them from my parents. I didn't want them to make those as a reason for me to owe them something. I can proudly say that I have had them with my own well paid-off hard work.
The black B-Club school shoes did me well for a year. Usually, my school shoes would only last 1 school year then I'm off buying another one. it has always been like that since high school. I must be really into activities which is why I don't actually invest much on them. I usually let my dad or mom buy them for me.
My very first Vans limited collectible shoes (the brown printed one) was a gift from a relative. Not really that dope for Vans but this one could be an exemption since the design is really cool and awesome.
My Nike Rubber Shoes (The white one on the lower right) was a gift from my Aunt from Arizona. It's been 2 years and yet, not even a single damage. Just beside that is my 4-year old kicks which I bought when I was still in high school during a sale. Was lucky enough to purchased them. I could no longer use it anymore in a daily basis since its sole is already on its wear-off stage. *sigh*
Just a year ago was the 18th birthday of my besftriend and I was extremely frustrated with the theme of her debut. Where the hell on earth will I be able to buy a white shoes considering that I only had a P500 bill budget? But then, surplus shops are still my savior in situations like this. I was able to buy these white leather shoes just for P300 at one of the surplus store in Gaisano. (I think that was 7 eleven shoe store??? )
Too bad, the leather cloth easily tore off after 3-5 usage. Well, I only got to use these during important events such as birthdays, weddings, etc.. not really up for my daily wear-abouts.
Look how worn-off this Blue Velvet kicks form Artwork which I just bought earlier this year because I was star struck by how vintage-ish and hipster-ish the design is. Well, I got to spend 2-months worth of savings for this. Bahala na! haha.
What's good about Artwork's shoes are their in-soles. It's really comfortable. You wouldn't even need to put on those no-show socks because of the comfort and softness that the in-soles have.
But I do the worn-out effect of the shoes after being excessively used many times. :)
Many good things begin with the letter A.
FInally! After the long wait, Aldo shoes and boutique has finally launched their CdO branch at Centrio, Ayala Mall. As a shoe enthusiast, I didn't miss the opportunity of grabbing my first ever Aldo purchased during their opening week. (hashtag) #shoeporn
I opted choosing Murri Sneakers mainly because the first one I was vying for (MATFRE Sneakers) didn't have an available size for my big feet. Anyhow, Murri's striking and vivid color defines my style: something bold and daring. Besides, I don't find it hard matching these with any style.
Also included are free shoe laces which is good for some experiments.
Got to purchase Green Lauder Sneakers too!
Doesn't this color combination fit your laid-back ootds?
One of the newest addition to my babies ofc. White Farry Sneakers
Blues are my ins.
I knew before purchasing these that my heart would be extremely glad for these!
Oh KROKERS! One time big time purchases! A rare and not-so-familiar brand when it comes to shoes. But I SWEAR, they do have one heck of durable shoes that would totally last for even YEARS!
It's been 1 year round of everyday use and guess what, not even a single damage has incurred by my Navy Blue Krokers Boots!
The seal! The seal! It reminds me of an anime which I entirely forgot the title. lol
Squandered my 4-months worth of savings before Christmas. I WAS BROKE DURING CHRISTMAS SEASON LAST YEAR. But totally worth to purchase for!
Okay, here's the catch, this Green Angle-up Krokers Rubber Boots was the Christmas present of my parent to me last December 2010. Prior to this was when I bought my Navy Blue Krokers Boots. Weeeeell.
I don't use this more often since I'd really look oddly weird wearing this one. I don't know, just that this kind won't fit my style. ugh! Thinking of giving it away tho.
Buuuut, the color "chic" combination is just worth the keep!
It's ROCKSPORT and not ROCKPORT okaaay? Like what I said, I don't really invest much on school shoes. Bought these at SM CdO Department Store during one of their on sales.
My first ever purhcase of MILANOS shoes!
On 20% off and luckily I got to bribe my mom to buy me this one too HAHAHAHA!
Okay, here's a piece of advice to everyone, especially college studs of my age who happens to share the same interests with me. Watch out for any ON SALES. You could really have a major discount on selected items. SWEAR. I got almost all those at a totally discounted prices. :))
