Toni hated to leave Mason with a babysitter, so much so that she practically begged Rhodey to watch the infant. She sat at a small circular table with two chairs, hood up and sunglasses on. It wasnât her most clever disguise but it got the job done, as she only attracted the attention of one small girl and her mother. Toni quickly signed the scrap of paper the girl had shoved into her hands, snapped a photo and they went on their way.
Now Toni just had to wait for this mystery woman to show.
There had been some snags. Igor had been obliged to find a pair of sandals because apparently people were not allowed on airplanes in their bare feet. And people kept staring at her, as if they were frightened of her. Igor didn't like that at all. She'd been built to help people, not to scare them. The flight took a lot longer than it would have if Igor had been able to fly home herself, and she had to spend it in an uncomfortable seat that was far too small for her 6'3" frame. A little boy in the seat next to her had asked her if she were a superhero, but before Igor could explain that she'd been built by one, the child's mother shushed him.
But now that ordeal was finally over with, and she was at the airport to meet Miss Stark. Her creator had sounded so angry on the phone that Igor was a little worried she wouldn't come, but there she was, sitting alone at a table. "Miss Stark!" she called out, relieved. "Here I am!"
