i have naturally acidic sweat. it's a family thing

we have already. They don't know exactly what is up with it, other than the sweat being slightly more acidic than normal and the acidic mantle being thicker and Way more acidic than normal, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with acidosis. As far as we have tested, our family has had this since at least my great grandpa, and the guy lived to be 93 years old.

People have suggested me getting doubleshot keycaps because of this post approximately 68479955458 times already, so I'd just like to let everyone know: those ARE double shot!

You can still make out the different plastic of the letters if you shine a light at just the right angle, even in the ones that lost all the paint. It's just that they have been completely smoothed over over time.

I genuinely don't mind blank keys, since I've been typing with most of my keys wiped off for almost a decade now, so I really am not looking to replace those. In fact, since I made this post, I started the process of rubbing off any remaining paint off the top of the keys with acetone, which, as it turns out, is harder than I assumed.

I dismantled my keyboard to clean it this January and it only took me 2 hours to figure out where each key was supposed to go, by looking at the remains of the letter imprints
