I see a lot of fics where Stan and Ford reunite early on accident and Stan just runs but. Consider.

Stan's eyesight is shit. It's always been awful and the only time he's had access to glasses in his adult life is in prison.

Consider, he makes direct eye contact with Ford across a parking lot and then he just. Goes back to what he was doing. Because there's no way he would look at another person-shaped blob across the way in some nowhere town and immediately assume Yep, that's my twin :)

He doesn't know that he's just blatantly ignored his estranged twin brother until Ford is tackling him to the ground in indignant rage.
