β "Darling, get out of there. You're scaring the rats away."
β "Ahem," the director discards a handful of ash into a bin nearby and dusts their hands off. "Sorry, I don't have a script. I burned it on accident. But worry not, dear actors! I've memorized everything and every change we made in the writer's room!" Trying to calm their breathing, they clutch their fists tightly. With their eyes twitching slightly, it's clear they're not taking this accident as well as they think.
"I'll just need to bring my typewriter and I'll write down a few scenes for the audition! No problem at all!"
Despite the way he looks, rough and wounded and bloody, the way Yoichi walks towards the director is surprisingly stable- like he's still holding everything together for just one more goal. No matter what, he needs to make it to his fiance. Can't drop to the ground just yet. Just one more step. And then one more. And then-
The moment he reaches Ennio, he collapses into their arms, voice barely audible as he speaks; "Sorry... for making you worry..."
β Ennio closes the gap between them with quick steps, managing just barely to catch Yoichi in his arms. "It's alright, darling... I'm just glad you're back." A wobbly smile as he tries his best to support him - but then he decides to shapeshift, making it far easier to carry him. Just about the same height as Yoichi now, they gently scoop him up. They walk slowly with him.
The blood on their clothes doesn't matter, the reason for the wounds doesn't matter, all that matters is that he's back, he's safe. "I'll get you patched up in no time, don't worry." He'll be okay. He has to be. "Just stay awake for me, okay? Talk to me, darling."

"Daaaaaaad......." Small little 2-year old Jenna waddles over to her papa, voice wobbly and eyes already tearing up. It's not too hard to figure out why she's so upset, since.... Well..... There is a..... "I- I peed my skirt........" Aaaaand she's sobbing.
β Oh, poor little sweetheart. He knows parenting comes with unique challenges, and that includes calming down a child who seems absolutely devastated. It's probably the worst thing that's happened to her all week! It's understandable that she'd be upset.
"Hey, there's no need to cry, my little darling." A tissue in hand, he crouches down as he speaks to her in a gentle voice. "Accidents happen, yeah?" Wiping her tears, he gives her a soft kiss on the forehead. "Let's go and change, alright? But first, do you still need to go? Then we'll take care of that first." Standing up again, he takes her hand. No matter what, papa will be there for her.

The director's home planet is not known to their wider audience, as most people associate them and their works with Penacony, and for a good reason. Ennio Reca studied film theory and cinematography at Paperfold University's Charmony Academy and graduated at the top of his class. And everything about his looks, speech, and demeanor just makes one assume he's just an eccentric Penaconian celebrity.
Ennio's home planet, Meraviglia is one of the many planets known for their food and tourism. The birthplace of carnevals, gladiators, pizza, and tons of well-known high fashion brands.
In the early ages of the planet, it was ruled by powerful Emperors that influenced the planet's history and culture for many amber eras to come. Most prominently, the history of Meraviglia is known for their Colosseums and gladiator fights, where powerful warriors are sent to fight and amuse the masses - though it was mainly for the Emperor.
Ennio and their brother are from the city Farfalle, not far from the capital Bellezza. Other notable cities are Fiore and Fioritura.
β "Geez, what's with the inaudible dialogue in films these days? And the terrible color grading? Pah, back in my day..."
β "Well... no, you see, the low camera angle does have an important purpose, as does the shot composition. From our main character's point of view, it shows they have to look UP at everyone else. They are small, powerless, everyone else has power over them, or maybe it's just their perception... and when put in reverse, a high camera angle might show a character that is, or thinks they are above others, in power or status. .... taking that away is taking away the scene's impact. The comic did a far better job at establishing this dynamic."
