Minor Spider-Man: No Way Home spoilers
Because I’m a sucker for multiverse twins and the multiverse Spider-brothers, I raise you: multiverse Osborns
Post-NWH, Norman and Otto return to their universe, the Raimiverse, but instead of returning to the moment they were pulled from, right before they die, they’re sent to 2024 with Flint and Peter. Which means Norman’s Harry is still, unfortunately, dead.
Meanwhile, the multiverse is in shambles, and Harry from the Webbverse somehow gets pulled into the Raimiverse (whether he was wandering the streets of MCU New York or chilling in Ravencroft during NWH is up to you).
So, you have one Norman Osborn and one Harry Osborn in the same universe again, but their experiences with each other couldn’t be more different.
You have a Norman Osborn, who truly loved his son but never had a good way of showing it, and he’s grieving his son, who’s been dead for decades, even though to Norman, it’s only been a few days.
You have a Harry Osborn, who grew up knowing how much his father really resented him, a father who he watched die in front of him a decade ago.
In a similar vein to the multiverse twins, there’s obviously an understanding of you’re not the person I have memories of, which is important, of course. Memories are what make a relationship. But I’ve always loved the concept of multiverse families because the foundation of it is that they’re not replacing their original family member, but rather serving as a support system, helping each other with their grief and making each other feel a little less alone.
Norman gets to try to be a better father and Harry gets to have a better father.
