really don't love the woble swap reveal so far. i appreciate that there's been foreshadowing, but it still requires oito to have a sister with a baby not only of the same age, but with a masculine version of the same name. it's too much

what i do like is that oito and shimanu made their own plans and tricked kurapika instead of just trusting him. he's an outsider who stumbled into this and while he can think well on his feet, there's no reason for them to give him complete control over the situation

the only reason kurapika is calling the shots in room 1014 at all is that he's bossier than beyond's remaining guard, otherwise sayird, kurton, and bill would have formed a united front against him once apprised of the succession battle

very glad that kurapika wants to confront beyond about the issue of the cursed children because it's a potential source of conflict between him and bill that's been bothering me since 401. wish i could see more of bill's perspective though

i really wanted kaiser to be the one to meet with beyond if it was going to be a kakin official...that would probably tip his hand though if there is a relationship

the frivolous lawsuits reminds me of pariston proposing to amend the hunter bylaws to buy time during the election (a proposal he then withdrew). although it was meant as a distraction, we know that pariston was actually invested in this policy, and these lawsuits may also be relevant to beyond's plan

but on the other hand, he should have sufficient sources (possibly even cleopatro himself) to be aware of nasubi modifying the constitution and rendering his suits invalid. him suing his ally in the first place is fishy, regardless of the stated reason

i don't know why beyond would tell the zodiacs (or kanzai at least) that he's known cleopatro since infancy, that's like flashing a giant sign that says "suspect cleopatro"

i've thought about ways information could be passed to beyond in prison but telling kanzai not to look at reams of paper is really clever. since beyond only asked for a meeting after being denied new books to read by kanzai, i wonder if that was the original plan
