I'm the person who ran the zine's Tumblr blog (shco-shta-fanzine), and I need to let you know that today Tumblr deactivated it without any warning or explanation.

At the moment, I'm waiting for a response from Tumblr Support. You can still view the zine release post through this reblog. We also have a public Discord server.

If Tumblr Support doesn't restore the blog or at least respond within a week, I'll create a new blog and move all the important information there. Until then, please help spread this post among the fandom, as people may be wondering what happened and where they can view the zine.

As a soon to be Call of Cthulhu keeper and enjoyer of cosmic, eldritch, and lovecraftian horror, I have taken it upon myself to compile the works relevant to the genre and Call of Cthulhu (as a ttrpg) into a spreadsheet.

Texts by Lovecraft, extended authors, and Chambers are included, with more to come as I read and am exposed to more. Each text has information including publication year, dates in-text (as I am able to find them or as they have been hypothesized by people who have been doing this much longer than me) the gods or entities referenced, prominent characters and family names, locations, etc. I've also included a few of the books that I myself have purchased and which stories are included in them. With so much of this available online (such as within the HP Lovecraft Archive) I am in no way encouraging anyone to purchase books, but if you prefer reading physically like me, at least you'll know which books are the most valuable for you.

This is still very much a work in progress, and information will be added as I read and research. I do not mind being informed of any missing information or errors, and I always appreciate recommendations for what to read and research next.

Please note that I am NOT including content warnings. Be wary as these texts are horror and products of their times, so there is a lot of potentially concerning/upsetting/harmful content. I did not want to risk accidentally missing a warning and giving false comfort to someone, so please research content warnings before you read.

This is an ongoing project that I am doing to keep track for myself, it is not an academic endeavour or an endorsement of any of these works.

I would be so happy to discuss what I've read so far and/or to help anyone interested in reading any of these works find the most suitable texts (that said I haven't yet read everything listed... I'm working on it)

I get that the eldritch creature forms are cool and all, but my favourite form of Nyarlathotep is always going to be the human pharaoh form that he uses in most of the original Lovecraft stories. Because he looks like a tumblr sexyman.

Slender

Wears ridiculous themed outfits (Ancient Egyptian pschent and prismatic gay robes)

Kind of a trickster and has a sarcastic personality

Is evil

Conclusion: He is tumblr sexy man.

Lovecraft did say that he was “swarthy,” which might put him out of the running because most tumblr sexymen are the colour of milk. However I still have faith in Nyarlathotep. If this website existed in Lovecraft’s time, middle schoolers everywhere would be all over the Crawling Chaos. And Lovecraft would be confused by it.
