Trends For Back to School (Fall/Winter)
Summer is merging into fall and that means a new season and for most of my followers going back to school. I've been reading up (as usual) on trends for the Fall/Winter season and I've compiled a list of the trend-musts for the new season.
Pleats
Instead of the typical school-girl pleat skirt though go with a cute just above the knee length dress pair the dress with some tights and some warm layers on top. Hint: Go with knife pleats OR sun-ray pleats as they give the look of tight at the top and go wider at the bottom.
Want to be ahead of the trend? Invest in a pair of pleated trousers.
Faux Fur
Fur coats, fur trim, colored fur, or fur accessories. All you have to do is pick what suits you best and wear it with confidence. Hint: If your stuck on ideas I think a cute faux fur vest will be a perfect statement piece for this fall and winter.
Flared and Bell Bottoms
Skinny jeans are boring, invest in pair of flared jeans or bell bottoms. However even though this trend is inspired by 1970's fashion it is in no way identical. 2011's take on the flared pants and bell bottoms are more understated (shall I say less flare and bell?). Think subtle. Hint: High-waisted is the way to go with these pants as they are more true to the 1970's style.
Solid Metal Jewelry
Metal cuffs and collars are really big this season. Think slave bands and chokers, this trend is of course inspired by ancient tribal wear. Hint: For fall and winter contrast cold metals against knits or furs.
