Andersâ own silence was broken when Tallis told him of a manifesto with his name on it that she had intended to show him. Captivated by curiosity and interest, he followed right behind her eagerly.Â
Almost impatiently he waited for her to get the old, rolled up papers of the manifesto, though carefully did he take it from her when it was given. Andersâ attention was drawn away entirely by his environment and Tallis as he unrolled the papers and began looking through them.
Reading through the pages made him feel so⌠strange. Like a sense of familiarity and an absolute frustration with Templars washed over him so quickly that it almost put him into shock, but he just kept reading,
And reading⌠until there was nothing left to read.
By now, Anders was sure his jaw had dropped into the Deep Roads somewhere. He held the manifesto in shaky hands, gripping it tight enough to wrinkle it, though not well enough to do any actual damage.
Oh, how he just couldnât explain or understand what he was feeling right at that moment. Such strange, out of place memories just coursed through his brain in little fragments that were almost impossible to piece together, yet still so painful to receive, as if he had lived through a tragedy that he no longer remembered.
Visions of strangely familiar faces with no names he could place, and a vision of an explosion made of what appeared to be magic shattering a building in the distance of where he stood with many other people, the sad cries of a familiar voice ringing in his ears. The expressions of the people, sad and angry, frightened. And it was all because of him. Of his uncontrollable need to bring justice into the world. That need yanked at his heart for a quickly passing second, and he was left looking shocked, tears threatening to spill down his cheeks and his eyes a mix of many different emotions.
â.. I donât understandâŚâ Anders finally spoke out in a broken voice that was almost too quiet to be coherent.
To have such a flux of chaos triggered by simple words on old paper was too much for him to even comprehend.
