So, we all call the events of Star Fox'93, 64, and Zero the Lylat Wars (makes me happy as a European, why isn't that the subtitle of the remake dammit).

But is that actually what the war is called in-universe?

With a name like Lylat Wars it kinda implies it's the first galaxy-wide war ever. Like Lylat's WW1.

Let us finally move on from Lylat Wars I to Lylat Wars II.

Nintendo hasn't… been good about titling their remakes after the 3DS era. *eyeballs Link's Awakening, SMRPG, Paper Mario TTYD*

It's generally accepted that the events of each game are titled as such:

Lylat Wars (Star Fox 1, 64, Zero, 2026)

Plight of Sauria (Adventures)

Aparoid Invasion (Assault)

Anglar Blitz (Command)

I don't know where these canon titles for each major event originated from, but Star Fox 2 notably doesn't have one. Nor does the prequel event involving James.
