I’ll get a proper promo up later today but if this community could like/reblog this post to let me know to follow and message them about plotting that would be great. 8+ years of roleplaying experience, open to most muses. More on this blog to come

❝ Ain’t afraid of death - ❞ Cass repeated, taking her time with each and every word. ❝ Because you don’t got time for it.❞
The ex-caravan leader smiled profusely, a soft chuckle starting up under her breath. Wasn’t the first time she’d heard that - and doubted it’d be the last. The folk of the Mojave seemed to have a certain sturdiness to them, though often times it was a product of regret and whiskey. That was Cassidy’s reason for it, at least. A bit of past indecision and liquid courage —
—The wasteland knew of no better combo.
❝ You’re that fearless, huh? Y’ might be genuine but this ain’t the first time I’ve heard that crock of shit. ❞ / @mojavedevil
The man shot her a somewhat irritated glance before sweeping his greasy locks from blocking his vision. Sitting on the cold Mojave earth while a fire burned bright before the two traveling companions, Roadkill took a swig of tequila from the canteen he always kept by his side.
“ Hey, I ain’t lyin’. ”
Adamant on his stance over the particular topic his smug grin met Cass’s expression. Yellow and red tinted teeth were barely visible as the slight parting of his dry lips exposed them. A crooked smile of receding gums and a certain malicious expression that never failed to be conveyed.
As soon as the smile perked the corners of his mouth upwards it was gone. Picking up a large stick the two had been using to poke their campfire Roadkill held the wood over the open flame, waiting until it burned an orange glow.
“ Shit’s too fuckin’ wild out here now. I swear, dyin’ would just bring me more peace than livin’ ever could. ”
@andromeda-muses // starter call // Rose of Sharon Cassidy
“ Ain’t afraid of death.
Whether he repressed what fear he had for the inevitable fate the claimed every being on this earth or just simply wasn’t afraid of his demise wasn’t known. Death wasn’t something that strayed into the daily thoughts of Roadkill’s consciousness, generally it only was thought about when a close encounter with the reaper occurred. Whatever it be, Roadkill tended to feel a sense in pride in his lack of fear.
“Besides, don’t got time for it. ”
“mom said it’s my turn on the xbox.”
// Hello! I’m a muse mood so starter call for this greasy man
// open to all
“ Happy judgement day. ”
There was a somewhat comical tone hidden within his words. The intensity in the air did it’s job in preventing the comment from actually being humorous. As he stood glaring at the other, his knuckles turned white from the tightness of his grip. A horrifyingly joyful grin began to spread his lips apart, revealing yellowed teeth and receding gums.
“ Any last words? ”
IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH ICONLESS ROLEPLAYS REBLOG THIS SO YOUR FOLLOWERS KNOW !!
like as much as i love icons and a good psd, sometimes its just tasking to do. and not everyone has great resources. so if you’re okay with having threads with no icons, please reblog this so that people know you’re okay with it. i feel like roleplayers today are too focused on the aesthetics and won’t follow people who use base icons or even none at all. it’s not about icons, but about the writing !!
// okay im cancelling that starter call and just making an open starter!!

“baby, please. we don’t have to do it this way.” she’d fucked up. big surprise. except her mistakes didn’t usually end with a gun pressed to her temple. she’d tried to reason with roadkill, but she’d been weak. she’d missed him. she’d let him back into her arms, back into her body, back into her life, and she should have known he wouldn’t let go a second time. her hand raises slowly to gently grasp the wrist holding the gun, not pulling, not wanting to set him off, just gently rubbing her thumb against his wrist, never taking her eyes off of his as she softly pleads.
“didn’t the other night make it clear? i was trying to wrap things up here. if he dies, people with follow us. let’s just go. it’ll just be me and you, like it used to be. please, baby, just take me away from here.”
The whole situation was fucked. After she left a switch flipped within Roadkill. His possessive urges and desires for Jordan became too much. After a month of stalking they found themselves here. With a gun pointed at Jordan and her terrified boyfriend cowering on the floor.
Her soft voice lulled Roadkill into a short state of realization. Reality hit him, he had gotten away with murder before, but this was sloppy. Fingerprints, blood, witnesses. All could get him sent to prison again, but this time for life.
“ You’ll just go back to him, you’re mine. He’s gotta die. ”
Pulling the gun away from Jordan’s temple only to be aimed at the young man. His grip was tight, arm firm in place. The perfect stance for firing his handgun. The intensity in his eyes was intimidating to say the least. His expression was one of an insane man, glaring and gritting his teeth. There was no way this would end well.

A free drink was an offer he could’t refuse. At least, his chronic behavior when it came to lusting after liquor couldn’t refuse. Taking a handful of steps forward he gave the spider one last farewell before pressing his boot down on the small creature. A grin was quick to turn the corners of his mouth upwards in a cheeky expression.
“ So about this drink… ”
The tone of his expression was one of a lighthearted feeling of excitement. The proposition alone was enough to get the man in a much better mood, but now giddy for his free drink he motioned with his head for Caroline to get up and off of her spot on the railing. He was her hero at the end of the day, slaying the fearsome beast tormenting the woman. Perhaps with enough drinks his own money could be spent. Not on him, but on her. Intoxication was a gamble for Roadkill. He was destined to either go into a fit of rage or a gleeful state that encouraged his rowdy behavior. Primarily, this depended on his mood before he drank. It being a safe bet that he wouldn’t become a mess of emotion upon his future indulgence in alcoholic bliss.
“ It’s only fair to reward your hero. ”
… Hero… oh, so NOW THE SPIDER WAS A BIG DEAL… convenient…
His sudden APPRECIATION FOR HER ORDEAL was met with the slightest bit of skepticism, portrayed only by the crinkling of her nose. Typically, she’d have something to say about that! But, instead, Caroline actually took the time to bite her tongue– and watch, rather critically, as he took on the task of HEROISM that she’d went and offered a reward for…
The bug was squashed. The tension in her shoulders released. THAT WASN’T SO BAD NOW, WAS IT, TOUGH GUY!?
And once satisfied that spider was no longer worth any concern, Caroline quite happily flounced right on off the railing, only stumbling a little bit! “Quite’a ‘ssumption you got thinkin’ I’m fair.” Despite that dash’a sass, she gave HER HERO a wink, before helping herself to poking a pointer finger right in the middle of his chest. “I’ll get’chya your drink… even though it was just’a lil’ thing,” said little thing was symbolized by bringing both forefinger and thumb up between them, so she could peek at him through the itsy-bitsy gap remaining between the tips…
“You save every lady from distress or just ones with somethin’ to offer?” Asked while she gathered up skirts in her fists and proudly led the way right up into the saloon, NOW UNHINDERED BY THE BEAST THAT HAD PREVIOUSLY BLOCKED HER PATH!
“And’an even better question: What’s’a Hero drink?”
There was a smug smile clearly written across the man’s features. The little fiasco with the arachnid was sure to win Caroline over, even if it was just a little. Roadkill’s flirtatious nature drove him to help women in need of aid. From small tasks to more intensive projects, if there was any personal gain within the favors he would act on his impulses. But Caroline was something else, cute but sassy. Something Roadkill found intrigued by.
“ Maybe, maybe not. ”
As the two entered the saloon he couldn’t help but lean closer to Caroline, getting within earshot to drown out the patrons’ vivacious howls and cheers.
“ Tequila. ”
His order came off as quite demanding, almost making it seem as if he wasn’t grateful for her generosity. It would be fair for one to assume he wasn’t. He had proven that his dominant nature could become out of hand, throwing fists and harsh words when angered to the extent of his tolerance. But now he was in control of his emotional disturbances. After all, free liquor was in his future, intoxication was the goal.
“ Thanks, darlin’. ”

✘: Who do they detest the most? Do they typically avoid this person or antagonize them?
// Not so much one individual but more a group. He loathes the NCR. One reason being obvious, his alignment with the bull brings him to hate the NCR even more. But he’s had a dislike for the Republic before. The NCR wasn’t involved in his life until he started traveling. Their involvement in the path of New Vegas prevented him from doing everything he wanted, his violence was combated by the NCR trying to uphold law in the wastes.

👊: Have they ever been involved in a physical fight?
// Plenty. The scar on his lip is actually from a knife fight and he has several scars from several other fights. He’s often challenged for flirting with another man’s woman or just from his snarky nature.

🔅: What’s a place that holds special meaning to them? Why?
// Reminding him of his childhood, there’s a spot outside of Goodsprings out by Quarry Junction where he’d go to look at the lights of The Strip at night to think. After his the death of his parents he was left alone. Despite the town trying to raise him, their efforts were weak and didn’t do much to change the loneliness Roadkill felt. Being unsupervised he was able to go to this spot without repercussion. This spot was gave him a moment of peace, just being alone in the wasteland was comforting to the boy. As an adult he still visits this spot when visiting his hometown.
☩: Do they practice any sort of religion? If so, is it the same as their family’s?

☩: Do they practice any sort of religion? If so, is it the same as their family’s?
// While he doesn’t practice religion he was raised to believe in God. Currently he has little faith still believing in God but not practicing, but religion has influenced his reign of terror. Sort of as an act of revenge against the faith he was supposed to be raised with (before his family died in the fire), he wanted to show that he can be evil. Revenge against God for making him that way.
// Roadkill isn’t aware his brain has a mutation, he simply thinks he was born evil. At times he enjoys it, sure, but on very rare occasions he loathes himself for being unable to form good bonds with people and destroying everything he touches. Being evil is a way for him to get revenge in a way against God.

“I guess that means we’re alone together for right now.”
She could relate to the feeling of solitude. After all, before they had teamed up together Kay was traveling by herself. Even before the nuclear apocalypse, she considered herself somewhat alone. Having moved from Hawaii to Massachusetts, she left behind many familiar faces to be surrounded by strangers.
Her husband was all she had, until the two of them had their beloved baby girl. Life seemed so perfect, but that couldn’t have been more wrong. The bombs were not the worst part. Kay had watched her family be taken away right in front of her, unable to stop it. It was a memory that kept her up at night. “My family’s… Gone. There’s only one piece of it left, and that’s my daughter.”
Where she was, Kay didn’t know. She only had the kidnapper’s face ingrained in her mind, and a stubborn will as her plan to find her. Every day felt closer to finding her baby, yet farther at the same time. It was torture, and she wanted it to end.
“I need to find her. Once I do, maybe I can try to make life almost as good as it once was.”
A few moments of silence passed as she began to feel the weight of the serious conversation. In a poor attempt to lift the situation, she laughed dryly and looked up at him. “I guess after my shitty company you’re probably looking forward to being alone again, huh?”
“ Can’t say I know. Bein’ alone... it makes me feel free. But sometimes it’s just damn lonely. ”
Roadkill’s solitude had left emotionally distant from others. His years traveling America alone after leaving the Mojave for good he never found another bond. It wasn’t something that heavily burdened him, at least that’s what he thought. The detachment from others only furthered his violence, not seeing other beings as worthy of life.
But now work provided Roadkill with an excuse to take a break. Lay low for some time before departing from his employer when his urges worsened. There was a certain quirk about Roadkill, one that was gruesome in nature. He found it hard to focus on good deeds for long when his indulgence in criminal actions felt so good.
There was short pause while the man looked up from the fire to study his employer. Her features told a story of sadness, a hollow loneliness.
“ I reckon yer gonna find your baby. Commonwealth ain’t like where I come, things are different here. It’s tame. ”
