obsession just came out at the wrong time for me. It is amazingly well made, well written, well acted, and well shot. It's tremendously scary. As a horror fan and a film fan, I can't help but have love and respect for it. the problem is my own; it's simply that I am not in the right mindset for a premise based on a kind of obsessive-love that is abusive, toxic and problematic.

at this moment in my life I would like to see more examination of the positive traits of obsessive-love, how it can actually be romantic and ideal in the right contexts.
