Welcome To The Show: @molly-raindrop liked for a starter.
It was another days work done at the old studio. The ol dancing demon had just finished his last few lines for an upcoming cartoon in the works and he was plum tuckered out. Before his old creator Henry Stein had given his untimely farewell to the studio things were relatively calm and non stressful. The workers got a good amount of relaxation time and pay, workloads weren't as big, and the big boss of the place, Joey Drew, was a more carefree and zen kind of person. Now it was just workload after workload, workers never got any time to themselves and Mr.Drew was no longer the man he once was. Constantly badgering employees to get their work done and overall just stressing everyone out, toons included.
But that's a whole story for another day. The toon had just made his way back to his dressing room, about to grab the knob of the door to go inside before he heard a rather loud racket, the sounds of metal clanking and something hitting wooden floorboards rang throughout the studio. Without a moment to waste he quickly raced his way to the source of the noise, leading him right to the room that held the very foundation of the studio, the reason why this ol studio was as prominent as it was today. The ink machine.
Somehow, the ink machine had been left on for a certain amount of time causing the black substance to leak out all over the wooden flooring. The ink demon quickly ran over, finding the switch that kept the ink flowing and turned it off, giving a sigh of relief.
"Golly, that was uh close one..seems like I'm gonna have one heck of uh mess on my hands when the gang gets here tomorrow. Ah well~ It'll sort itself out!"
The toon turned around to make his way back to his dressing room, not really giving much mind to the dark ink that had stained the floorboards. What could he even do anyways? He could just get some soap and water to clean the place up but it was a big mess and it was already really late. If he didn't get sleep Joey would be on his case for sure.
However, upon his departure something had grabbed a hold of his leg, quickly pulling him into the ink before he could even shout for help.
Upon waking up he was met with quite a strange but beautiful sight. Something that he had never seen before in his entire existence. Vibrant and bright colors filled the surrounding areas. He seemed to be in a town of some sort? Where was he anyway? Well, only one way to find out. The demon looked around before spotting a nearby building, a bakery of sorts, and made his way inside.
“Golly... there’s been no customers all morning...”
The raindrop sighed, wiping down the kitchen counters once more. Recently, there had been no business in her bakery.
When she had first opened Raindrop Bakery, Molly used to get a good amount of customers every day, enough to keep her in business. Sure, the building is a bit small and cramped, and maybe she is the only one running the place, but it was manageable! Who knew that all it would take was for a big, fancy bakery to open up just a block away for all of her customers to be swept away. Yes, maybe their bakery is a bit bigger than hers, and maybe it does have a lot more staff, but hers was cute and cozy- well, somewhat cute and cozy.
Alas, complaining won’t bring any customers in-
“Oh! A potential customer!” Molly announced to herself, peering out the bakery window. She watched as a stranger approached the bakery, he definitely wasn’t anyone she’d seen before, but that didn’t matter- A paying customer is still a customer! She quickly put up any clutter that had been on her counters away, and watched as the toon stepped inside. He definitely looked different that most of the toons from around, but then again, most everyone had a unique look around here- including herself.
“Hello, welcome to Raindrop bakery! We have cupcakes, cookies, and macaroons in stock today, if you’re interested. Now, How may I help you, sir?”
