Spending time with my father is important to me. In May he turned 85 years old. Watching him grow older and moving slower makes me want to cherish the moments we have left together.

For Father's Day I planned a brunch outing for my father and I along with my cousins on the Viginia Scenic Railway. The Virginia Scenic Railway Sunday Brunch Train is a mid‑morning, upscale rail‑dining experience that blends chef‑prepared brunch dishes with some of the most beautiful views in the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s designed as a slow, elegant, and social outing—perfect for couples, families, and special‑occasion groups.

There was something magical about slowing down on a Sunday morning—coffee in hand, mountains rolling by, and a chef‑prepared brunch arriving at our table as the world drifts past our window.
