"Your Job"
The slide of your knee grazes his pant leg.
The meeting within the firm was long and boring. You wanted nothing more than to get out. To pass the time, you usually act like the annoying assistant, finding anything that could trigger Hiromi's stern face to twitch even the slightest.
The sharp heel of your stilettos slide up his pant leg. The head of the firm continues to speak over everyone, but it almost seems like you could hear Hiromi's thoughts, even if they were illegible.
His brows pinch before his hand snaps smoothly to your knee, giving it a squeeze. Your skin sinking between the pressure of each of his fingertips.
"I believe we should take the case." His voice cuts through the room, everything turning stern and stiff.
The slender woman standing at a white board turns to face him slowly, "What makes you think we could take this up? We'd be reopening a cold case." She narrows in on him.
His fingers continue to trace circles over the fabric of your legs.
"A case that got an innocent man in jail for 5 years. You think that's fair?" His fingers seem to become more tense.
The woman sighs, "Of course not, Hiromi. But why would we head right back into a loss of a trial."
"There's evidence."
"Not enough."
Hiromi stands up abruptly, hand ripping from yours, disheveling your pant leg before storming out with his hand now through his hair in a stressed manner.
The room goes quiet. The woman sighs and rubs the back of her neck.
"(Y/n), could you.."
"Yes, ma'am." You answer immediately, getting up and leaving. If anyone could calm Higuruma's stubborn ass, it would be you, no question.
Your heels click on the floor, searching the empty halls for any sign of a stressed man with tired eyes. You peek around corners while making your way to the men's restroom.
The door lock was switched on the bright red that screamed 'occupied'. You didn't need to knock to know who was in there.
"Losing your composure is rare for you, you know." You lean on the frame, listening for the silence you're answered with.
"Not really mature of you, Hiromi-"
Click
The door slowly opens, you look up at Hiromi's eye bags that lay low beneath those brown orbs before letting yourself in.
The door closes softly behind you, skillfully locking it behind your back before reaching for him.
"Don't." He grunts in warning, though you move against it, pressing your hands on his chest, straightening out his suit. Your fingers fold over his tie, watching his chest expand.
"You've been more stressed lately."
"The cost of being a lawyer." He replies with a cool tone, though his eyes stay down on you as you continue to fix him up.
Your fingers outline his collar before he grips your wrist tightly. Your eyes drag up to his, which seems like they're drowning in your vision. He slowly pulls your hand down and away from his body when you're too busy mesmerized by his looks.
"You know we can't do this, (y/n)." He says softly.
"I'm here for you." You say.
"I understand, but you can't be here for me like this." He gives your hand a slight squeeze before leaving it down to your side.
It hangs loosely at your hips, defeated in a certain way only he can sense. He runs yet another set of fingers through his hair before turning to face the mirror.
You walk behind him, at a fair distance. His eyes meet yours in the reflection.
"Hiromi," You mutter, now standing beside him, head against his shoulder as he audibly curses, feeling your weight on his side. "I'm an assigned stress reliever, don't you see that?" You whine, reaching for his hands, fingers grazing his pulse point before placing them on your hips.
"That isn't your job, (y/n).." He mutters out like it hurts, his fingers flexing on your sides.
Your eyes drag up slowly from his collar towards his eyes. You find his narrow slightly at your soft doe eyes, the slight sparkle in your glossy lens.
He scoffs softly under his breath, "Christ.." He lifts you onto the sink, keeping you steady. Your hands lift to his cheeks.
"You're such a little problem," he gently pulls you from the back of your neck, "Should have you fired for this."
You open your mouth to respond, before the opening was taken advantage of by Hiromi's tongue, sliding in without a problem. His teeth graze your soft lips.
He watches you flush, pulling back. "Don't tell me you're getting shy now."
"I'm not shy."
He laughs, nipping at the skin of your jawline. "Sure, baby."
Hands sliding under your shirt, feeling around the goosebumps that're newly formed beneath his rough skin.
Your hands pull further, tugging him closer back to your mouth. The feeling of his breath against your skin, the way his fingers pinch at your skin on the outskirts of your bra.
Swallowing you whole, the loose bite marks he printed onto you. Small words of affirmation coming from that mouth you've grown obsessed with over such a short time.
The roughness of his knuckles running over your body like he owned you, finding the smallest places that made your skin crawl.
Hovering over the shell of your ear with a grin, watching you shiver as he whispers closely.
"You're such a good girl."
"You're doing so good."
"Already this turned on by me, hm?"
Heart thumping harder than ever, it wasn't hard to read you, especially if it was a lawyer who has been observing you for the past 6 months.
Was it really this hard to just be an assistant?
