I drew this girlie a while back. Allow me to explain her quirk!

Sari's wings come from her mother, similar to how Tokoyami's bird head comes from a parent but offers no significant benefits. Her wings are equipped with all the necessary components to move but she can only fly very briefly in short bursts and mainly glides. As a child, Konohana was very helpful, kind-hearted, and caring. She loved to make friends with people her age and have sleepovers occasionally. She grew to love plants and animals and learned many things about the many different plants as she grew up. Her attitude was always very soft-hearted and she would get taken advantage of easily unless it had to do with a personal item. She was very protective of her more personal items and didn't even let her friends touch them if she thought they would damage the item in question. As she grew into a preteen, she was often more focused on personal things than hanging out with her friends who had all gone to different schools. It hurt being apart from them, so she hid her emotions in studying and personal studies on plants from different countries and ones native to Japan. She even took the time to learn about the many forests scattered along the island of Japan itself. Currently, she is very shy with strangers, but once introduced will warm up to them rather quickly. She is very loving to people who are kind to her and appreciates people more than she appreciates herself. Her love of plants encouraged her to socialize more, giving her several friends in the markets and with neighbors who allowed her to use her quirk to fix up their yard. She enjoys planting flowers and trees and will even use her quirk to make a child smile by making the seed into a flower and make it bloom right before their eyes. While new experiences tend to be a bit daunting for her, she tends to love them and will try at least anything once. While enjoying solitude most of the time, she detests being alone and will often visit others to soothe her loneliness and need for some sort of attention. She dislikes being the center of attention, however, as long as she's around people who acknowledge her, her attention needs are satisfied even if they don't speak with her every second of the day she's with them. She especially likes to make others feel better about themselves. However, she's often sympathetic and prone to insecurity. Konohana has a very clear set of morals and dislikes doing harm to anything or anyone unless it's absolutely necessary. Hunting is usually a disliked sport for her and she often feels emotional pain if an animal dies or is killed. This goes for people as well. Currently, Konohana is afraid of bigger animals, but admires them from afar and will make oil paintings of animals and plant life. Having grown to be very artistic since drawing as a child, her talent was allowed to flourish with the help of a specific person.

|Background| Birth Konohana was born to a couple who lived in Kyoto, Japan. They were venturing into Tadasu no Mori (Correction forest) to pray at Shimogamo Shrine. The woman went into early labor as they attempted to go back to Kyoto. The child wasn't supposed to be due for another two weeks from then, but the baby came fairly quickly. As a result, Konohana was born and under one of the oldest trees in the forest. Using pieces of his clothes and water from the river, the new father cared for his wife and the child until he was able to safely carry them back to civilization. The father had called for an ambulance once the mother and baby seemed fine and met with them outside of the forest. At the hospital, they were able to check and monitor the condition of both the mother and the baby. Both were just fine. Despite the early birth, he child was found to be perfectly healthy. The only odd thing about the child was her quirk which gave her a small head of blue semi-bioluminescent leaves instead of hair and small curly vines on several places on her head. Her skin was soft and pale blue with small brown blotches scattered all over her body. The parents had no idea where this plant quirk came from as the mother had a wind-step quirk and the father a quirk that made a club from metal materials to use as a weapon. Being involved in Shintoism, they came to the conclusion she was a gift given to them early and safely by the blossom-princess and symbol of delicate nature Konohanasakuya-hime. This princess was whom the child would be named after. Growing Up As Konohana grew up, her fascination for Tadasu no Mori, which they visited every year on her birthday, only grew stronger and stronger until she hated to leave. Her parents were growing concerned and came to the conclusion that she may have been meant to take care of the forest and heal it from the fire damage done during the wars of the past that involved fighting in Tadasu. With permission, she was allowed to use her quirk which had fully manifested by now at the age of 12, she was able to purify air and even water. She especially increased the growth rate of plants and encourage new ones to sprout from the earth. Her quirk was able to add more growth to the forest and even encouraged a new tree to grow at one point. She envied the animals and the forest itself for being able to be in such a wonderful place. After her 12th birthday, several days passed since visiting the tree and the river, she noticed her parents becoming weaker and less active. They developed flu-like symptoms. Being incapable of getting them to the hospital herself, she called an ambulance. She stayed with her parents at the hospital as many tests were performed over three or so days. Their diagnosis was Enchephalitis. The Japanese varient was known to be much worse than in other asian countries and the vaccination wasn't fully effective. Konohana was tested as well but was perfectly fine. With brain damage, swelling, and even siezures, by the middle of that year, Konohana had lost her parents to a deadly virus and was immediatel taken into a small foster care system in Gotemba, Shizuoka. Having been in their custody for a week, she disliked the place. Not many of the other kids were nice to her due to her appearance. The kids accused her of having a disease due to the brown blotches on her skin and disliked how much attention she got during her first time there. She quickly attempted to get away from foster care due to not wanting to live with a new family. Neither did she want to be around the children there. There was no one she knew or trusted, so she took her chances and made a break for it. Over a treck of several days, she made it all the way near Mount Fuji where she took a break. It wasn't long before people had come to get her. She ran and continued onward, making her way into the Sea of Trees for shelter. She was entranced by the vast system when she stopped to rest when she no longer heard people following her.

Age 12 to 20 Having ventured too deep in the forest, she was soon acutely aware that she was horribly lost. No one was able to go in as deep as she had to find her. Bones were scattered and a dead body lay here and there. These occurences became more frequent until she came face to face with a body killed by hanging themselves in a small opening of the wooded area. She was scared to death and paler than usual, often hearing screams during the night while trying to sleep. The ground was uncomfortable, bug were frequent, and the forest was seemingly haunted as she felt a hand grab her leg on to see there was nothing there. She regretted her decision and wished she'd never ran away. She cried as she tried to nagivate her way out of the terrible place, but never found her way back. Since no one had been able to come to save her from her own mistake, she was forced to do things for herself. At the time, she knew what plants and berries were edible and which ones were poisonous so she was able to survive on plant life until she could properly teach herself to kill and eat animals. Luckily, her quirk had an aspect which allowed her to consume raw meat without much digestive trouble or risk of illnesses. Eventually, she learned to hunt and found the biggest lake in the area closest to the edge of the forest (top left side). In this place where water was abundant, she did everything she could to keep it clean and often bathed in it. From age 12, she lived within this forest, growing more accustomed to it and hearing fewer screams by the lake than within the forest itself. Nothing seemed to grab at her and the streaks of a person seemingly running past dropped to zero. As a result, she felt a bit safer. Animals eventually got used to her but never let her come too close. Some who ravaged on the dead bodies within the forest even tried to prey on her. Over the years, it wasn't odd to smell rotting flesh coming from the brush. Hearing a gunshot was few and far between, but she heard at least two to three scream almost every night. Traumatized, she lived by the lake. When she had aged to 20 years old, she had lost most of her ability to communicate. Being away from civilization for so long and not having spoken in ages, her Japanese was very limited and she spoke no other languages. If she found someone, they were tourists and she was cautious of most people and stayed hidden within the foliage. Back to Civilization It wasn't until her 20th birthday that she found a tourist camping at the lake all alone. He was in his 40s and faired well for himself both in the brush and around the lake. He stayed there for two days before she walked up to the lake to try and bathe. He caught her out of the corner of his eye and was surprised by her appearance. She was in tattered clothes. She also seemed rather sickly. She was likely in such a condition due to keeping the lake purified , however, she was unable to clean herself up to get rid of the toxins properly. The toxins just ended back up in the lake each time and she'd clean it again. The man gave her somewhere warm to sleep near him and food that she hadn't had in ages. Trying to get her to speak, she tried but spoke in broken sentences and he moderately understood her. Within the next few days, she became so sick that he trecked with her back to civilization. He had put up several markers on trees to lead him back safely. With a backpack on his back and a girl in his arms, they made it back to civilization and took her to a hospital. While there, the man introduced himself as Hanamura Shikaku. He was a man fascinated by foliage and forests alike. The two bonded quite well as a result. While in the hospital, she was scared, but he reassured him. The staff treated her well and cleaned her up very thoroughly with hot water. She discovered that hot water cleared up her pores and let them breathe more easily. The doctor thoroughly explained to do this every time she used her quirk to clean liquid pollution. With her being in good condition and nowhere to go, Hanamura took her in and had enough land in the countryside to help her make her own forested area where she could live while still being near the house and allowed to do as she pleased there. If she wanted to bathe in the lake-like rivers, she could. Whatever she wanted to do was within her grasp. She often visited the man every few days to relearn to speak fluently and to spend the night in a nice comfortable bed with good food for her troubles. She became like a niece to him. She helped with planting flowers and foliage in the yard, even showing her gratitude by planting a very beautiful cherry blossom tree after finding seeds in the small cottage near her forest where he'd leave food and tea for her. She took day after day, night after night, growing that tree and making it bloom in just over a week. Once it bloomed, she planted two flowers her parents loved around the tree. The tree reminded her of when they took her to a very old tree every year on her birthday. It had been some time, but the thought of her parents had never left her mind even if some memories had become fuzzy. Not even the trauma of the Sea of Trees detoured her memory of those days. With some psychological help,  she was able to be happy again with someone she trusted and came to love Hanamura like an uncle. Present Day A year later, she has relearned to speak Japanese fluently and has been able to live comfortably in nature ironically made by man. She often went into town with him and cared for plants his friends had. Hanamura has given Konohana some nice clothes to wear that handle forested areas well and made to better boost her self esteem. The clothing even allows her to move more freely with a dress that had a bathing suit underneath. With the ability to live a better more free life, she has been comfortable with going into town on her own on occasion to get seeds to plant in the garden, as well as things to help decorate the yard and her forest. ┌──────── ∘°❉°∘ ────────┐

Her pores also store a limited amount of toxins for only a couple days before she has to shower and release it so she can wash her pores clean. Too much build-up starts to cause illness.} »{Overusing the glands in her fingers will cause pain while a lack of hydration due to sweating and a lack of sunlight will prevent her glands from working properly or at all. Sweating dehydrates her faster so extremely humid and general dry climates are her enemy. If she's too cold, her glands work more slowly and will eventually halt hydration production due to her fingertips becoming too cold for the glands to do their jobs.} »{In places where a fire is taking place or active volcanic environments, her hair becomes brittle and dry and she becomes sick from trying to filter the much thicker pollution in the air around her. Too much heavy air pollution such as smoke and ash causes severe illnesses and her hair will break off.} »{For growing plants, smaller ones take about 2 to 5 minutes to grow in full bloom. She's socially very quiet and only speaks when necessary. As a result, she comes off as a selective mute. Tomoe is unintentionally cold socially and has been since she started secondary school. It was difficult to make friends because she was so cold physically, only for people to turn around and be perfectly fine with her during the summer for the exact same reason. As a result, she doesn't trust others easily and requires proof of their loyalty in some way that they must figure out for themselves. She's often quiet unless speaking to people in need or when someone speaks to her respectfully.

The people who get to know her often come to respect her and somewhat fear her due to her quirk's applications as she often turns on people who've given her the cold shoulder by giving them a cold shoulder of their own. Especially when they're rude to her without provocation. However, she rarely wishes to hurt anyone and simply uses her quirk to make it easier to apprehend villains and troublemakers rather than trying to freeze them solid. Even though Tomoe's body is quite cold and is incapable of storing heat, she is still very active and not in the least bit sluggish. While she often enjoys her personal space, she does wish that others would be willing to at least hug her for a short amount of time. Being quite independent, she can do almost anything she puts her mind to. She will put all of her energy into her efforts to be sure she succeeds and that the people around her are safe. She is genuine with her intentions but is loyal to very few. Refusing to be a burden, she puts 100% into everything she does, including telling someone off for being rude to her.

When it comes to villains, Tomoe is quite playful and enjoys toying with them until they get too angry to focus. This doesn't always work, but it's quite amusing for her since she doesn't have many entertaining aspects to her life. This amusement came with her desire to take out her anger on villains. Toying with them and seeing someone besides her be angry was satisfying for her. As a result, she is quite emotionally vindictive. In general, she is a very warm and caring person who just wants to be cared for by someone. She enjoys company even if she doesn't know how to socialize and when she does speak, she often comes off as soft-spoken and shy especially if it's toward people she cares about.

She prefers to quietly enjoy the company of another person and during the summer, often shares her sea salt ice cream with strangers, usually kids, who seem like they need someone to talk to. As a very intent listener, she's capable of being someone people vent to once they give her a chance. Overall, she's very difficult when it comes to breaking her icy heart before she'll warm up to someone.

It has special insulation that keeps her body warm since her body can't naturally keep in heat. The exposed parts of her skin lose the most heat while in this costume. Her insides are kept from freezing and she is able to go without consuming salt for extended periods of time as long as she's in the suit.

P r e f a c e Growing up, she lived in a very warm and loving home. Her parents had her when they were in their late 70s through a surrogate. Both her mother and father loved her very much. As a result of being so old, they died while in their late 80s.

C h i l d h o o d Tomoe grew up in a small apartment complex in Hosu City, Japan. She was raised to be polite and became very intelligent. Her parents did everything in their power to make sure she was successful without being abusive verbally or physically.

When her quirk began to take effect, she would have fits of the flu and often had to be taken to the doctor. Almost regularly. The doctor recommended they take her to a quirk specialist. They did as told and discovered that her body was adjusting to her quirk. Her internal and external temperature was dropping and would continue to drop to very cold conditions.

The specialist made it mandatory for her to have a daily intake of salt in any way that made her comfortable doing so in order to prevent her insides from freezing solid. With that said, her mother took a custard based ice cream recipe and added salt into the mixture. This made eating her daily intake of salt more comfortable and pleasurable for her daughter and kept the salt from ruining her taste for other foods. She even added blue coloring to the ice cream since it was her favorite color.

Most of her room became a freezing climate and the heater had to be turned on constantly during the winter. Tomoe was given warm blankets to keep her comfortable.

S c h o o l Living with her parents from birth to elementary was quite fun and easy, but school life for Tomoe was much more difficult. She may have excelled in ice skating lessons (even participating in a few tournaments) she did not excel in socializing.

During the winter, students wanted nothing to do with her but during the summer, people were okay with being around her. Regardless, no one even really tried being her friend. They simply used her for her source of cold. Otherwise, no one would sit next to her.

During the summer, her parents were able to interact with her much easier. They often spent time with her in her room due to it being comfortable for all three of them to sit and be with one another during the hot weather. They would read, watch TV, and play games. Her parents did everything they could to show their daughter they still loved her which she appreciated very much. Tomoe has never once doubted her parents love during her 18 years with them.

Overall, Tomoe had good grades and skill due to practicing her quirk in different harmless ways. One method was learning to ice skate with her quirk and adding those techniques to her fighting style. As a result of good training, she passed the entrance exams and got into Shiketsu High School. At Shiketsu, she was accepted much more eagerly by her peers due to not being afraid of her. They enjoyed this unique aspect of an ice-related quirk that they'd never seen before. The more ice skating she did, the better her techniques became in battle. S h i k e t s u H i g h S c h o o l

She started classes in Shiketsu when she was 15 along with her other peers. By this age, her internal temperature had dropped to -5°F (-20.56°C) and her external temp had dropped to 15°F (-9.4°C) as a side effect. Her parents were worried about her as it was impossible to stay near her without wearing winter clothing and padding themselves thoroughly just to hug their own child.

She didn't have to speak much, but as long as she smiled, they were happy. And when she did speak, she would have a rather shy demeanor to her voice; very soft spoken with people she admired.

Due to her inability to communicate effectively with others, she was forced to socialize more in order to try to make the friends who would be accepting of her. By the second semester, she had several friends even while she was becoming a scary force to be reckoned with. They helped drive her forward by them when her learning to control her frostbite and Sheer Cold super move. She was especially admired for how she used ice skating techniques as her fighting style.

I n c i d e n t During her second year, Tomoe was put in classes with completely different people and they didn't take to her as well after a training incident. She gave someone a severe case of frostbite because she was angry at them for disrespecting her. Both were punished for a single day due to unnecessary provocation, and the other for sending a student to the nurse. After this, they called her Iceheart due to her cold tone and her quirk in general. While no one hated her, not many people liked her after that incident. This was changed in her last year where she got to spend time with her friends again. She felt safe again.

S e p e r a t e W a y s She became an upstart after going separate ways from her fiery mentor(Endeavor). Her friends had all moved on to agencies to work as sidekicks to build their ranks. While she wasn't alone, she felt as if she was. Regardless, she took the time to hang out with those friends when they were free.

L o s s When she lost her parents to old age, she suffered in silence for quite some time. In spirals of depression, she sometimes contemplating not taking care of herself because she felt she had nothing left. She was so distraught that her friends' help just wasn't enough. It wasn't long before Tomoe began to take her emotions out on the villains she'd pursue. This was when she developed a sadistic nature toward villains to the point she loved to play and toy with them until they grew frustrated and couldn't focus.

Since her parents wanted her to be a good person, she still aims to be warm and endearing with anyone who tries hard enough to get through to her heart (currently her friends, and kind strangers). Even though she had all the friends she could ask for, she still felt an emptiness inside her. Her parents' death caused her to desire a relationship with someone who could treat her similarly to the way her parents treated her.

V i g i l a n t e At this point, she will often do solo fighting against villains. Iceheart gets competitive with other heroes instead of joining them because she wants to prove her worth due to being obsessed with success.

She is even recognized as a vigilante by many heroes who know her and often find her way of dealing with citizens a bit harsh when they've been rude to her. She even gives people a good fuss for disrespecting her. This includes making their shoulder uncomfortable cold after they've given her the cold shoulder themselves.

A p p l i c a t i o n s F r o s t b i t e At will, Tomoe can force her touch against someone's body and cause mild to severe frostbite. Her hands are not the only part of her body that can emit frostbite effects on others.

F r o s t B r e a t h She can release a gentle or forceful breath of cold carbon dioxide or make a huge blast of freezing cold carbon dioxide. The more intense the blast determines whether it will make a thin or thick layer of dry ice. This breath ranges from point blank to 7 feet in front of her in a cone. When releasing a large blast of cold carbon dioxide, she will refer to this as her super move "Sheer Cold".

F r e e z e r By expelling freezing temperatures from her mouth, usually in an enclosed space, she fills the room with cold air and causes the room to become a makeshift freezer. During the summer, she can do the same while outside which quickly turns into a steam cloud that spreads and covers the area around her. She uses this for stealth. She can do the same during the winter with the same effect just without steam.

I c e S k a t i n g »{She can emit enough cold from her feet to go through her boots. The ground beneath her freezes over allowing her to skate across the terrain. It seems to cause issues with people who aren't paying attention so she tries to avoid roads and focuses on sidewalks. Having been an ice skater as a young teen, she excels in using this as an efficient method to catch up to villains and pursue them.}

Chayana often shows a kind and dedicated demeanor when it comes to lower grade students and her allies as well as with children and the scared and injured. With a few students she doesn't get along with, she tends to give them the cold shoulder and just ignore them. This is especially true for villains as she doesn't have to acknowledge their words to fight them.

When she first introduces herself to new villains while working for the agency she interns at, she shows how clever she is by playing innocent and using her long sleeves to hide her otherwise massive quirk. She was cunning enough to have her sleeves made this way in order to make her seem like less of a threat since she knew they couldn't see her quirk which gave her an advantage toward those who didn't know her quirk.

Her intelligence is slightly above average and she puts it to good use. She prefers to offer more wisdom and advice than show off and normally keeps to herself during educational subjects until someone asks for her help specifically. She usually knows when and how to encourage others and let them know to seek her out if they need her.

Her best attributes are her sense of loyalty and how loving she can be. Her love and loyalty to her parents were especially strong and shown when how loving she is her parents went on a trip. She was being watched by a babysitter as she waves goodbye to them buy instead of going home with her babysitter, she camped at the train station, forcing the sitter to stay with her. When it comes to fighting, she is tame and fair but has a no-nonsense style of combat and an innate seriousness that proves to keep her focused for long periods of time.

One of her worst attributes is her lack of ability to do public speaking. |Background|

Chayana grew up with a loving Russian mother and a rather lazy, but equally loving Japanese father. She grew up learning both Japanese and Russian before learning English in school. Her mother was a very tough bulky woman who would pick a fight with anyone who tried to threaten her child. While she was protective, she wasn't entitled. She has a very strong bear arm quirk that she could total a car with, and had totaled one once before to prevent Chayana from being run over by a drunk driver. She learned to use her paws carefully to cook clean, write, be affectionate, and did most of the work around the house with her daughter aiding her.

Chayana loves to note that her mother gives the best bear hugs and to make sure not to anger her, as her rage is as bad as a mother grizzly bear and polar bear combined. As for her father, he was raised in a family filled with dog quirks, hence the last name Hachiko, and ended up with his mother's lion quirk. He's always been rather lazy, and like a male lion, usually lets the female (his wife) do most of the work around the house.

This wasn't an issue as his wife was raised to be very independent which made their relationship a great success. He would often be the one to play with Chayana but both gave her equal love and affection over the years. Chayana's mother was the one to give her the most discipline, while her father gave the best advice for school, socializing, and how to behave at school.

Early Childhood

As a child, she grew up on the story of Red Ridinghood. It was the only story she loved listening to every night before her mom gave her a big bear hug and tucked her in for the night. Even if it was the uncensored version her mother brought from Russia, it was her most favorite and wanting to prove that Red Ridinghood and the big bad wolf would make the best combination.

When it was time for her to go to school, it was difficult writing and getting used to her large paws and furry arms. Even now, she still stabs her food with chopsticks instead of using them correctly because it was hard for her to use utensils as a child. She was even behind on training her quirk due to how heavy her quirk was. She got fleas at times and even to this day she has to use a special shampoo specifically for her arms and paws to keep herself pest free. Her arms were very heavy and through to the age of 14, she had a hard time holding them up for long periods of time. As a result, by age 15 she had been suffering from a slight slouch in her shoulders which Best Jeanist has helped her try to correct after helping her shape up during her internship with him which changed her life for the better.

School Years

As she grew up in school, she was quite popular with the others during kindergarten to grade school since her fur was always soft and cuddly as were her paws if she was careful with her claws until hitting puberty when she badly let herself go due to losing her favorite dog around age 14 to a house fire. During the fire, she was trapped inside and heard her dog barking in fear. She lost all care for herself and tried to reach the dog hiding under the staircase. Her arms were so heavy that when she tried to reach him, they gave out.

Before she could try again, the stairs collapsed on the poor pup and she sat in defeat before crying as her father went in to find her and carried her out. Losing her dog and the good memories of that house, including the copy of Red Ridinghood her mom had, impacted her greatly. Throughout her last year of secondary school, she had constant bedhead and didn't take care of herself very well. The fact that people ridiculed her for her unkempt appearance only made it worse for her. She couldn't use the excuse of her dog dying forever but it's what hurt the most and she blamed herself for not being stronger.

Growing Up

Growing up, she has learned to use her quirk to help others and not use it for herself except to keep herself warm at night and will use them to keep friends, allies, innocents, and the injured warm and make them feel protected. Her paw pads are very useful for stress relief and she lets the injured and frightened children touch her paws and pads to make them smile.

Recently, she managed to find the exact same copy of Red Ridinghood online from Russia and her mother is helping her meet her relatives.

UA Entrance Exam

When Chayana made it apparent she wanted to be a hero, her parents had her look over several different schools for hero training; Shiketsuki, Kestubutsu, and even UA. She took the flyers and checked information online to see which one produced the best results. Even with her not taking care of herself at the time, she wanted to make her parents proud and be able to protect her family out of fear of another fire happening.

Refusing to take anything less than the best, she entered the UA entrance exam with purpose and without fear. She wore a very long sleeved shirt which made others underestimate her. When they saw her unkempt, dirty appearance and nerdy glasses, she was immediately thought to be dead weight with the sweater hiding her paws. Assuming she had a quirk that gave her wide arms and big hands, she was teased.

However, when the exam started, she took a deep breath and readied herself. She may have given up on her appearance, but what her parents thought of her and her desire to give a good performance after the training her mother put her through was what fueled her. Before rushing onto the scene, she ripped off her sleeves and ran on all fours quickly into the city terrain.

With her fighting style of Sambo, she was able to fight hand to hand/paw to robot, well against the robots. She was even able to body them to the ground with her huge paws. A fire was lit inside of her for the first time, allowing her to let loose like an angered grizzly. Barely able to contain herself, nearly every robot she went against was nearly totaled as a result. At this time, her power wasn't perfect, but her mother's training was paying off. She finished off her last robot with a total of 37 villain points. Having rescued several people, she had a rescue point total of 23.

1st Year

During her first year of UA, Chayana was often left alone even with her bad appearance. With several of her classmates being on the same course as her, she managed to make a few friends who stuck with her and respected her. Often, her friends insisted on her taking better care of herself because they didn't want to see her like this.

Chayana barely smiled and when she did, it was painful, to say the least. With Aizawa being her teacher at the time, he trusted she would get her life turned around and was just fine with her prowess. Her quirk didn't cause much trouble as long as she controlled herself and didn't get too vicious. Her skills, thanks to her wonderful supportive mother, were close to top notch for a first year. Her test scores were a bit lower than most, but she managed to pass with the 10th highest score.

1st Year Sports Festival

During the sports festival, Chayana put her all into it with her parents watching. She managed to just come in 3rd, sharing it with another 1st year. After seeing the replays and how vicious she was, winning by unleashing the anger in herself instead of from the love of her parents, she only had one agency give her an offer. The fur that makes up her paws contains DNA from two different big pawed mammals; a bear (can bend open car doors, good for digging, powerful attacks, and thick warm fur that protects the skin) which comes from her Russian mother's bear arm quirk and gives her fur a black coloring; and the other is from a lion (strength to hunt down large prey, very curved claws for grabbing prey and ripping through tough fabrics like denim) from her Japanese father which makes up the shape of her paws and the claws that go with them. Most assume she has a lycanthrope mutation due to her marketing herself as Red Ridingwolf. A p p l i c a t i o n s E n h a n c e d  S t r e n g t h »{She can lift and push heavy objects due to years of training to make it possible for her body to handle what her arms can withstand and dish out. She hits hard, but slow and tends to have to wind up her attack. She can even damage cars on a large scale and cause damage to streets. Due to their heaviness, if she gives in to them, she uses their weight to pin enemies or objects down.} E n h a n c e d  A g i l i t y »{By getting on all fours and using her large paws and strong arms, she can propel her body across large or small terrains very easily. She can even scale buildings using her skills and by using her claws effort and upper body strength.}

Breaking up debris from disasters tends to be her biggest job while displaying her abilities during her internship. During the first Sports Festival that Chayana went through while in her first year of UA, she came in 3rd place with her raw power alone due to the martial arts training she went through with her mother but being fueled out of anger for her past mistakes instead of focusing on the love of her parents.

Noticing that no agencies wanted her, assumably her unkempt appearance (constant bedhead), goofy glasses, and violent and aggressive battle style, Best Jeanist gave her a chance as her ONLY offer. Upon meeting her, he may have been surprised to see her costume and gimmick being based on Red Ridinghood and the Big Bad Wolf.

Even her quirk was named Big Bad Paws. He was pleased with her wolfish theme but ultimately thought her to be a delinquent until he came to discover she had pure motives. The reason she was so aggressive during the festival, was due to the fact she fought out of anger of something that happened in the past which traumatized her.

Asking what had happened and stating he couldn't help her if she didn't tell him, she declined at first. At this time, he insisted on her to improve her hygiene and helped with her appearance. It took time, but he managed to make her into a beautiful looking young lady. She was surprised to see what she'd actually look like if she took care of herself and broke down into tears as a result.

It took till not to realize how badly she'd been punishing herself for something she had no control over. At this point, she explained the story of her failing to save her dog and how she accidentally started the fire that took away that dog and her first home.

Healing

Hearing this story, Best Jeanist was quiet for a moment before sighing and holding her head against his chest before leaning down and putting his hands on her shoulders, looking her dead in the eyes.

"You made one mistake. It may have been a big mistake but it's nothing to beat yourself up over after so many years. I fully understand the home and dog you'd stitched such a strong connection to had meant the world to you, but allowing yourself to hate who you are so much that it reflects on your hygiene and worrying the people around you is something that you should never let happen.

Your parents still love you, and I can guarantee that your dog thought nothing less of you when he died. He would be by your side, upset right along with you had he known you ended up with way. Be the person your dog thought you to be.

Care for yourself the way that dog cared for you and the way your parents care for you. Make yourself stronger so that never has to happen again. Even if it does, you'll be able to make a difference the next time... You may not be able to save everyone, but you can certainly try your hardest and be happy with that." he told her.

After this small speech, it was a matter of time before he had taken her lack of self-esteem and molded her into a more confident young lady with a more tame attitude and a heart willing to save as many people an animals as she could. She followed his orders well, she gave it her all and showed she had the courage to be a true hero. As a result, Best Jeanist offered a place for her when it was time for job training.

Job Training

Chayana took Jeanist up on his offer and returned. She became like a sidekick. She was made to be used for muscle and backup, with a dainty, beautiful appearance. She even would model jeans for him for young ladies when his usual demographic is young adult men. She had to get good grades and work on speeding up her hard-hitting attacks while learning to find new ways to use her quirk which he helped train her to do. With her claws, she was able to cut through his denim strings after a lot of practice and learned to not be too predictable.

There was always one quote he gave her during their fight training,

"You cannot brutishly charge at your opponent just because you think you have an opening. You must first carefully stitch together your plan, then thread the needle through your obstacles as they come. Only then, can you sew it together and ensure your victory."

Bonding

Best Jeanist often refers to her as "Little Wolf" or "Ridingwolf" depending on what the circumstances are. If he corrects her, he'll somewhat disappointedly refer to her as "Little Wolf" and "Ridingwolf" when serious or casual. He's even called her by her first name on many occasions as he grew to trust her well enough for such a thing. Rarely, she is allowed to refer to him by name. Jeanist will often rub her paw pads to relax and help her relieve tension after a rough day. Present

Nowadays, Chayana still takes her work seriously and keeps herself well kept, charismatic, and approachable. She had been learning to run his agency when more force is needed while he's unable to be active due to his injury. She is growing up to be a very good leader and makes Jeanist very proud to date.

Although she didn't cooperate well on missions with people she was unfamiliar with, she still had a calm and kind tone towards others in a normal environment. More often than not, she seemed motherly to many.

She didn't like it when others strayed from their target and would become strict to correct others as needed when she was put in charge of a mission. She was often an individualist and mostly paid attention to her own thoughts more than her feelings in dire situations seeming cold and serious when something went wrong. This being a trait she got from her own mother. When projects were given to her, she showed extreme diligence, optimism, and intelligence the more she learned, studied, and experimented.

Overall, Kisara was soft-spoken unless she knew what she was doing. She liked to do things on her terms when given a task which she was allowed her to do, but as long as the task was done, she accepted it. She was able to overcome her loneliness after losing her brother by diving into her talents as a shinobi and made herself useful. Overall, she is a neutral evil.

She worried about others when they were sick and took it upon herself to care for them. She also deeply admired others' skills around her, striving to be the best she could be and refused to give up her goals to become beyond exceptional. At her core, she ended up being a very kind, non-violent individual with a heart that loved many around her and developed a yearning for a family of her own when she lost important people she had come to see has her new family.

Kisara grew to truly love Orochimaru, Log, and Mitsuki upon her becoming his "wife". The two never got officially married due to setbacks. She was very kind, gentle, and loving to others despite how cruel they may have been to her in the past. She was never babied so she learned to fend for herself rather easily making her responsible. She was known to also be a rather curious child when people first met her.

Kisara's flaws included her illusive stubbornness and tendency to be uncooperative with strangers unless ordered otherwise - not to be mistaken for disrespect or hatred towards them. In early stages of her involvement with Orochimaru, she required consistent attention, often being very self-conscious when she wasn't given any, so she would throw herself into research or work with medicinal herbs to prove her worth further and earn more attention.

However, as she matured in age and in skills, she learned to stand on her own two feet without seeking acknowledgment from those around her. Her confidence only got better from then on. Her biggest flaw is being incapable of dealing with the loss of those around her, close or not.

In her adulthood, she was still the same kind and gentle person she'd always been, and never hated others for using her. She was just happy to be accepted into a family of her own and given a home to go back to after all this time.

-Background-

Kisara was born to a Yokuchigakure couple who were in their mid-teens when they conceived her. Her parents were Himae Yukimori and Yugashi Yukimori. Ever since she was a child, she dreamed of wanting to become a shinobi but her mother prohibited it due to wanting control over her own life that her mother didn't give her. Himae, as a result of her own mother's abuse, was often abusive towards Kisara as a result. Her words always stung Kisara and her father very much. The worst thing Himae ever told her daughter was, "You will never be beautiful with that face. You look too much like your good for nothing father!".

Having learned from her mother, Himae made some of her punishments very harsh. She didn't know how else to punish her daughter. The mist reoccurring were; forcing her to soak in scalding hot water for several hours until the bath water turned cold, preventing her from eating dinner if she wasn't thin enough to her mother's standards, and making fun of her for her dreams to become a successful shinobi and did anything she could to keep her sheltered and under her control at all times. All the while, she also abused Kisara's father physically and often hit him and Kisara both. The only reason Yugashi stayed was to try and keep Kisara safe and wanting to be in his daughter's life.

To Kisara's surprise, her mother becomes pregnant and has a baby boy 9 months later. Due to Himae never opening up about why she did the things she did, Kisara was worried about her brother's safety ever since he was born. When he turned 1, she took her brother and fled the village to find a way to keep him safe on her own and naively thought she could handle herself just fine from her own secret practices of Ninjutsu. She retreated into the Land of Fire coming across the village of Otogakure. When she collapsed there with her bother in a blanket strapped to her back, the shinobi from the village attempted to take advantage of her, but one kind person gave her a warm bed and food to eat, as well as accommodations for her brother's needs.

The next morning she had awoken to her brother missing. She hurriedly dressed and search for him only to find him nearly dead with a local healer. His expression was a pained one with a gash on his chest deep enough to kill him. In tears, she cried out in anger when the group responsible came to try and kill her too for trespassing. With what practice she had done over the years in secret, she used what little jutsu she knew to instinctively protect herself and her brother.

The first technique she had learned was the Life Stealing Petal Chains. They thought she was a civilian and their guard was fully down allowing her to be able to grab and restrain them with her chains and absorb nearly every ounce of chakra from their body in order to overcharge her chakra and unleash a powerful blow to the leader of the group causing the others to disperse and Orochimaru grew interested in her because of this and her unusual powers. When she went to check on her brother, he had passed away leaving her in grief.

At this point, she had peeked his interest. Orochimaru was amused having seen her struggles and a display of her jutsu when she protected herself from his shinobi. She even had the guts to attack him as well only for him to stop her cold in her tracks to put forth an offer. He offered his attention to train her abilities as long as she remained his tool and his alone. He would give her a purpose now that she was alone. Kisara, out of grief for her dead bother, agreed.

After burying her bother, she followed Orochimaru to his hideout to begin her training. Orochimaru researched her chakra thoroughly and did studies on her body. After some time, he realized he could not take over her body due to the odd chakra she carried having a natural defense. He still wanted her power all to himself regardless out of selfish arrogance and since she had shown promise with medicinal skills and healing, he believed she could still be useful. Upon being there a year and a half, Orochimaru gifted her an experimental curse mark on her right shoulder to amplify her abilities and increase her weak defense. Whether she would live or not was up to her will. She fought for her life an entire month before the mark was fully functional and showed that she had enough willpower to prove herself useful to him.

When things got started, Kisara enjoyed Orochimaru's attention greatly but didn't exactly like his evil ways or his arrogance over all. She sometimes hid away in her room to study without him when he wasn't in a good mood and while his arms were immobile. As she got older, she needed his attention less and less and began standing on her own two feet. When she heard of his death, she found herself slowly growing depressed and decided to follow Kabuto before she was let go after being abused and used by him for his own selfish gain. She was tossed away and was out on her own.

When Kisara turned 20, Orochimaru began to experiment on her body with different types of snake venom in small doses until her body developed immunity to them over time. He even went so far as to infuse snake DNA and blood into her cells as a backup measure to see the results and giving her full doses of snake venom afterward. Luckily, his experiments were a success and she survived to his surprise.

After the war, during the time skip to The Epilogue, Orochimaru began to think over his past and returned to his original hideout in Otogakure. He found Kisara taking refuge in his room waiting to die from illness and having succumbed to the loss of so many close to her. so many close to her. Orochimaru realized she meant something to him in some way and wanted to repay her somehow. He also wanted to reward her for her efforts with her dream of having a family.

Sometime before the events of Boruto, she was to become his wife. The two never got married officially nor did they have or need sexual interests in each other. They felt happy with their companionship alone. When Kisara did want children, Orochimaru realized she was infertile while trying to artificially inseminate her for a child and every attempt ended in failure to her dismay. Without letting Kisara know, he created Log and once he was ready, introduced him to Kisara. Log grew to appreciate her and enjoyed her affection, therefore, considered her as his mother figure.

When Mitsuki was created, she was forced to stay out if what Orochimaru planned to do until after Mitsuki successfully chose his own path. Orochimaru then introduced Mitsuki to Kisara and he eventually accepted her as his other parent. He didn't quite understand love or if Kisara was into men or women because he wasn't sure what gender Orochimaru was at the time.  At first, he allowed her to give him affection because he believed he was supposed to accept it as her "child". However, he never thanked her for everything she did for him until sometime after he met Boruto.

He relayed a message to Orochimaru to tell her "thank you" and that he loved her very much despite not knowing exactly what love felt like. Mitsuki assumed the calmness she brought him was reason enough to say he loved her as a result. Regardless of Orochimaru's odd way of showing love, he made it clear that he was content with Kisara and wanted to make her comfortable. He does the best he can and has for 2 years now. Currently, Kisara has developed an illness which had laid dormant inside if her since she was born.

The more her chakra system matured and was used over the years, the worse she became in the present. Currently, she can only sparingly use her chakra or else she risks damaging her body to the point she becomes incapable of recovery.

      Currently, Kisara had been using viper venom, which she had been tested repeatedly with until she was immune to it, as an anti-aging serum of her own accord until she discovers something new. After being back in Orochimaru's custody two years before Boruto begins, she finally finishes her research on her disease and looks to the root of the Life Tree as the one source of a possible cure that was failed to be considered. She travels back to her home Village with permission to leave the area taking about three months to confirm with the Hokage before Yamato let her out of his sight and she was now allowed to wander for herbs if she needed them. She didn't seem like a threat and therefore she was granted more freedom than Orochimaru as a result. -❀- When Kisara returns to Yokuchigakure after so many years, she finds not many things have changed except the properties of the flowers and that the tree was more vibrant and youthful than it used to be. She returns home for the first time only to be greeted by a hug from her mother tighter than she's ever been hugged before. In tears, Himae greeted her daughter and blamed herself for not trying to do things her own way instead of mimicking the abuse her mother gave her. Kisara finds the root of why her mother had acted the way she did while Kisara sat between her and her father, Yugashi. Both were relieved to see that she was alive while grieving for the fact that her brother had died. However, they didn't blame her for running away. -❀- After hearing of Kisara's adventures, she becomes happy that her daughter had become an exceptional kunoichi and praised her for her work in healing and knowledge of herbs. Even so, she made Orochimaru seem like a guardian to her before telling them that she was living with him permanently and they had adopted a child together as Log was the only one present at this point. She avoided all the terrible details of Orochimaru's past and simply explained that he was a strong shinobi and a revered scientist who was taking good care of her. Kisara also explained why she had returned to which her parents understood and asked her to do whatever she needed to as long as she would at least stay the night before heading back home. -❀- Kisara got permission from the elder to do research and study the roots of the Life Tree and took many small samples which had the newest growth. After spending the night, she returned to Orochimaru and extensively researched the root and found it did have the properties she needed to cure her disease and anyone else with the disease as well. She had her research sent back to the village to cure her mother and used the flowers and the root together to recreate the cure she explained in her notes. Upon brewing the flower and its leaves into tea, she pounded the root into a powder and added it to the tea before drinking it. It took about the time of Mitsuki's creation for the cure to fully resonate throughout her body and relieve her of her illness in its entirety. In order to test this cure, she caused a small injury to herself and let it heal naturally. It worked in her favor as the tissue regrew normally and did not ossify as it once did. It left her cured as she had hoped.

Chakra Natures Yin Release Yang Release

-Backstory-

Although Kisara's mother was very controlling, Kisara's father, on the other hand, wanted her to be able to protect herself. Since she was young and had low chakra reserves at the time he taught her an important jutsu. After teaching her how to gather chakra, build it, and even walk on water, he wanted her to learn a unique hiden technique that would allow her to drain chakra from her opponent.

Life Stealing Petal Chains was this technique. The only other user of this hiden was her father whose family invented this technique through the ages. It took her several years of training in secret whenever her mother went to go get groceries that she finally accomplished this technique successfully along with starting a few others.

Her mother eventually caught the both of them and grounded her along with punishing her father for trying to help her become a shinobi. Because of this, her father had left scrolls from his side of the family with Kisara to use and study as she pleased. He told her to make sure to keep them somewhere safe so they wouldn't be discovered.

Once Kisara left the village with her brother, she took the time to study these scrolls during her journey to the land of fire and kept them sealed and hidden in her room within Orochimaru's hideout. She practiced them in private to show off during her training. She had taken plenty of supplies when she left and the lilies she took from the tree maintained their lifespan for many generations even when seperated from the tree itself. When in Orochimaru's custody, she mastered a majority of the techniques while refusing to use more powerful techniques due to the morbid results they had.

Furthermore, Orochimaru wanted to encourage her to become the type to kill when extremely agitated or threatened. When she awakened her Killing Intent after her brother was used as bait for the Sound ninja to toy with and kill her, Orochimaru became intrigued as this wasn't easy to do with just intent to kill alone. It took anger and an understanding of one's emotions in order to combine them into a bloodthirsty intent to kill. The more he trained her, the stronger this Killing Intent became with each glare she gave her opponent until paralysis was seen in her opponents.

However, it had taken several years before her killing intent to become strong enough to paralyze people equal in strength or weaker to her. Even those of greater skill sometimes succumbed to her gaze, especially since her non-violent tendencies allowed others to underestimate her greatly.

With her being capable of such bloodlust, it was considered very surprising to everyone but Orochimaru himself since she was usually a calm type of person with kindness in her eyes. When this kindness flickered into a gaze of pure bloodlust, this killer instinct that she obtained through rigorous tests and training allowed her to even give those in her gaze a glimpse of their own death in due time.

When seeing their own death, they would come to realize their weakness in a battle that she had discovered through the battle against her foe(s).

She will sometimes rip her breast tissue if she isn't careful or if she moves too roughly. she will have to stop and heal during battle or otherwise giving someone time to overtake her if she isn't quick enough. Kantarou is usually very docile unless surprised by someone he isn't familiar with. He's very loving and dependant on Kisara in order to use his true potential. He loves being tickled under the chin and dislikes being poked on the nose very roughly which causes him to recoil. He's often shy and prefers to stay hiding within Kisara's hair unless he's aware of something odd or when being cautious.

-Backstory-

17 years ago Kantarou was the runt of his litter of many siblings. Planning to let the snake die, Kisara asked to take care of him and see if she could make him healthier. Orochimaru was amused by this and took her request allowing her to make the snake her own.

Kisara named him Kantarou and began to feed him, sometimes having to even force feed him, to grow big and strong. Once he was healthy, even more so than his siblings were, she trained with him rigorously revealing his high intelligence(about the level of Akamaru's intelligence) and capability to understand human instructions after being taught different techniques.

He proved himself to be the top amongst his siblings whose venom was used in moderation to cause an immunity in Kisara's body to the toxin. The two grew very close and dependant on each other whether it be with emotions or bringing out each others' potential through chakra exchange and allowing both to become a powerful duo until Kisara's growing illness as she got older prohibits her from using many techniques at all.

Regardless, Kantarou treats Kisara like a partner and even seems to consider her his mate aside from her now being Orochimaru's wife during the events of Boruto. He is very protective of her, Log, and Mitsuki as a result. Occasionally Kantarou will become mischievous and try to explore places he shouldn't making Kisara have to keep him close by. The two often sleep together and he grew to love sushi just like her.

Kisamaru Headcanons

For the sake of these headcanons, I'm going by the possibility that Orochimaru may fully be reformed. If so, he becomes caring and more considerate while still being incapable of seeing the world outside of a scientist's point of view with many experiences.

Sex Headcanon(s)

Orochimaru lacks much of a sex drive and likes to make things into an experiment while Kisara does have needs but is patient and disciplined enough to withhold her desires.

Orochimaru grew up treating everything like a science project as he grew intrigued with jutsu and the human body. After so many autopsies and experiments, any sexual drive he may have originally had for men or women seemed to have vanished. It is possible he would enjoy the feeling of sexual intercourse, but that pleasure isn't something he's personally interested in. Even though he's not interested in intercourse, he can tell when Kisara is sexually frustrated. As a result, he lets her do it herself or has something specifically designed for her to enjoy herself with.

As a last resort for Kisara's sake, he'll let Kisara have her way while he lays still as to not interrupt her urges. At the most, the feeling is nice while it lasts and the faces she makes can be very amusing, as is her sex drive under such frustration that she's discipline to resist by her own mindset.

Kisara is a somewhat sexual desiring woman. Like many, she has needs but was never familiar with any of her own functions other than using the bathroom. Since she is infertile, she never had any eggs and therefore never experienced a period. When she experiences sexual desires, she couldn't understand them. As she got older, she read about the subject and grew to have some idea of what the end goal was for simple sexual intimacy when not worrying about having children since she founds out she was infertile by a test done by Orochimaru.

As a result, if Orochimaru was very sexually intimate, he could do whatever he please, however, he's very low in libido because it never interested him. When he does finally give in out of curiosity of how it feels, she's allowed to take her time and learn her own movements and gets used to what she likes and how she likes it. Even so, Orochimaru prefers to lay still and just enjoy her facial expressions and lets her have her fun until she's satisfied. Most often, she is very sexually disciplined in the fact that she prides herself on going long periods of time without needing sexual attention in order to focus on more important things.

Orochimaru and Kisara are content with their relationship and like to interact very simplistically even in intimate situations.

Orochimaru has never really been the physical type when it came to even normal intimacy other than giving her a pat on the head or rubbing her cheek with his palm when she needed comfort. Even so, if it makes her happy, he does enjoy having her close by, especially when she was still ill so he could monitor her health. He often enjoyed her washing his hair since he knew she loved hair whether it be hers or someone else's. His most favorable activity with her is to read a book together. Usually, he will sit in his chair, while she props herself and looks over his shoulder. This includes reading scroll for jutsu, as well.

Other activities he prefers is to take a bath together and kindly massages Kisara's back to relieve her of her back pain.

Kisara doesn't usually ask for much when it comes to intimacy. Just being together in the lab cooperating together is plenty intimate for her. If they do spend time together, she lets him do whatever he thinks will make her comfortable. She often enjoys when they read together, and she likes to wash his hair. When he's very stressed, she will massage him before he massages her back to show she wants to put him first for everything he's done for her. When she does cook, she likes to make gyoza and will eat together or even eat while laying in bed together to just enjoy the silence and relax.

Kisara most often falls asleep in the bed with him leaving him to allow her to rest her head on his lap while he gently runs his fingers through her hair or pets her head.

With Kisara having been the only one of the two getting sick, it'll mostly be an explanation of Orochimaru taking care of her through her illness until it was cured.

When he brings her into his life and treats her as if she were his wife, he does what he can to provide the stubborn girl with the means to try and cure herself while also doing his own medicinal research with the help of Kabuto. If she ended up bedridden, he would be completely content with bringing her hot tea, food, and help her to the bathroom. He would also help her take a bath and wash her body and her hair for her.

When her body would start to stiffen in areas due to her disease, he would often do what he could to try and fix the ossified tissue but to no avail or it only ended up making it worse. At times, she wouldn't be able to even get out of bed without his help. Even with this burden, he never grew angry nor did he punish her for how badly she felt when she insisted she was just burdening him.

Emotional Intimacy

Orochimaru isn't the most emotionally open person. He often only smiles, frowns, or keeps a poker face depending on the situation. As for Kisara, she is kind and more open to emotional intimacy when Orochimaru is willing to give it to her.

Orochimaru was never the best when it came to his emotions with others unless it was amusement toward someone's suffering and showing a twisted desire to make someone's life completely miserable. Now with his reformation, he tends to be more calm, caring and does what he can to make Kisara comfortable. After doing this for some time, he begins to show vague expressions of love for her by kissing her forehead when she cries or holding her completely still if she panics. Orochimaru dislikes burdening his significant other with his emotions if any are strong enough to be worth expressing. He often likes to smile and reassure his lover to make sure she knows she's cared for and that anything she does is never a burden to him unless he tells her otherwise.

Orochimaru isn't exactly empathetic, but he does pick up on Kisara's emotions and tries to help her with them as best he can. Even if it means he has to act more caring than he's generally capable of.

Kisara is the more emotional of the two, especially during the days of her disease plaguing her body. The stress of her possibly dying now that she had a family to worry about making her panic. However, she would hide her emotions and Orochimaru knew she did this. The only complaint Orochimaru ever had was he wished she would trust him enough to burden him with her troubles so he can do what he can, to the best of his ability, to make sure she would never cry again.

Kisara, after being told this, opens up to him more even to the current day. If she cries, she lets him kiss her forehead. When he does, it seems to immediately begin to calm her down. If she panicked, he often held her perfectly still and keep everything so quiet that all she could hear is their heartbeats. As a result, his heartbeat would slow hers to match with his own heart's rhythm.

Overall, Kisara can tell when Orochimaru is acting more human in order to provide comfort toward her since his emotions aren't very easily expressed if he even has any to show besides just being content. Even though his lover knows he's only putting on an act, the very fact that he does this just for her is what comforts her the most and makes her feel loved and care for.

Gaara seems too innocent and not very educated on the subject of sex, let alone it doesn't seem like he would easily understand how to make it into something enjoyable for his partner without extensive time and effort trying to get him to understand something that isn't second nature to him. Overall, he doesn't appear to have a place in his behavior for much of a sex drive which is one reason why I believe he adopted a son instead of getting married.

Haruka personally doesn't want sexual intimacy due to the fear of losing said loved one after making such a strong connection with them through sexual contact. This is a long time, very much thought out, realization due to her mother dying and having left her father all alone - even if it wasn't intentional. Lastly, she refuses to put Gaara in a situation where he gets too attached to the point that he suffers as much as her father did if he loses her.

Gaara dislikes the idea of marriage due to the fact that Naruto barely has time for his own family as Hokage. With Gaara being the Kazekage, he already works late and doesn't get much time off. He would rather not be in such a committed relationship that he's unable to focus on his work or is unintentionally forced to feel guilty about not spending enough time with a wife and his children. When Gaara finds out about Haruka's mother and father, he wishes not to put pressure on Haruka to the point where she would be in her father's position if she lost him.

Haruka is afraid of such a commitment because it increases a couple's emotional bond to a very high degree. She feels trapped in extremely committed relationships and shies away from them as a result. Another factor is that she works at a shop many hours of the day and only has time to intermingle at night if Gaara is even free to have dinner with her. Lastly, it comes back to losing her mother. She doesn't want to feel such terrible heartache if something were to happen to Gaara and doesn't want Gaara to suffer either if she died.

Gaara and Haruka like to do several different activities to show intimacy in place of sexual intercourse. It makes the two more comfortable with each other, and displays trust. Sick Headcanons

If Gaara or Haruka are sick, or either of their children, both have their own ways of caring for one another. ---

Since Gaara has so much work to do, when Haruka or Kaname (her daughter) gets sick, he'll have Kankuro check in on them and ask that they stay in his bed as the Kazekage's house. He usually has Kankuro carry the sick individual there for him.  With either at the Kazekage's house, it allows him to come if it's urgent since it's close by. By request, Gaara has incents set up in the room which is a habit for Haruka when she's sick which helps her feel better.

When Gaara or Shinki falls ill, Haruka tends to bring them hot tea and will make miso soup with a bit of spice to clear the sinuses. She likes to use aromatherapy for healing illnesses which is something that usually works when she is sick. In all honesty, it just soothes her more so than being something that helps cure the illness itself.

Emotional Intimacy

Gaara and Haruka both have similar, to completely different ways of dealing with each other's emotions and their own emotional problems. --- Gaara usually tends to keep his emotions to himself unless he trusts the person he's talking to, or if his feelings are strong enough that they provoke a strong emotional response. He often likes to fix his problems on his own and promotes being left to his own devices, but if he feels strongly enough that something is greatly bothering him, he will open up to Haruka when she picks up on his distress. While Gaara has empathy, it's sometimes difficult to determine how Haruka feels without her being vocal about it or showing outside emotion clearly.

When Haruka is upset, Gaara prefers to give her time to calm down. This can be done by just letting her cry out her emotions by herself, or by giving her his shoulder to cry on. She'll often bury her face against his chest while he wraps his arms around her tightly and protectively especially of what happens is traumatic for her. If she wants to be left alone, he's not good with emotional queues so he will often just nod and leave her be. Luckily, Haruka doesn't like to manipulate and usually means it when she says she needs time to herself.

Haruka is very open with her emotions, but not so much that others consider her overemotional or a crybaby. When she needs to be tough, she can be, especially if Gaara needs her affection and support when he's very emotionally distressed. Even with Gaara's normally poker-faced exterior, she'll notice his facial expressions before she'll notice his actual emotions being projected. Most of the time, he doesn't even do anything more than make expressions and never speaks. If he wishes to be left alone,

Haruka will willingly give him time to himself until he tells her otherwise. If he has a very emotional response, she usually picks up on it by the stressed expression upon his face or if he occasionally sheds tears over something very moving or traumatic for him.

What Gaara likes to do is have Haruka stay close to him when he's having a very emotional response to something that bothers him exponentially. This is a rare case, but it happens on occasion. She'll often lay with him in the same bed while gently petting his head and even let him rest his forehead against hers if he's comfortable with it. If just being near her and resting his forehead to hers isn't enough, she'll gladly hold him tightly with his head against the left side of her chest so he can hear her heartbeat and let the rhythm slowly bring his own heart rate down so he can finally relax.

Haruka has always been one to be generous and nurturing towards others, especially children and orphans. These are her best traits shown by her making dolls for children and even making clothes for orphans to make sure they would stay nice and comfortable in the desert. It has always been her desire to have a relationship, yet she has a fear of getting married/strict commitment, outside of simply dating and going steady. As a result, the person she is with will never be someone she gets married to. If someone dislikes it, she will do whatever she can to make the person happy and can easily come to tears if someone is overly rude or aggressive towards her. What she's most sensitive about is her appearance and others' outlook on her so she tries to make herself look acceptable but doesn't want to overdo it and refuses to wear make-up as a result. Haruka grew up in a happy home in Sunagakure with her father, mother, and grandparents until both of her grandparents passed away from old age. After her biological mother died from an illness when she turned 8 she became very afraid of the world around her for fear that her father might be taken from her, as well. She would often try to comfort and protect her father when she had no ability to do so and grew exaggeratedly worried if her father got sick. Sometimes she'd be in tears because she thought he'd die from just being sick with a cold. However, as she got older, she calmed down when she was able to understand the world a bit better and learned that the illness her mother had was very rare and not in the family. -❀- After the death of her mother, it took a couple years of her heartbroken and depressed father (Kirihito) comforting his daughter to finally stop mourning the loss of Amisa (his wife) and start seeing other women. This was so Haruka could have a mother figure in her life again which he believed she needed as he wasn't the best with feminine situations, especially when puberty would hit for his daughter in a few more years. Haruka disliked her father dating and spending time with anyone but her especially since she felt like he was betraying her mother. She would often fight with him about his decisions until she realized she couldn't stop him. Kirihito, after many years, found a woman, a kunoichi, whom he believed would be a good role model and influence over Haruka overall. -❀- When he got remarried, Haruka was very scared and quite judgemental of her step-mother (Harue) because she didn't want to be around her and believed she was replacing her mother. Haruka showed no interest to get to know who Harue was or what she was capable of. She deeply worried that the woman would break her father's heart just like her mother's death had done to him years before. She always would remember him crying and some of his sleepless night where he'd cradle her and let her sleep next to him for his own comfort and hers.

When Kirihito got married, Haruka had been 12 years old for 2 months now and things that her father couldn't help with started to occur such as her period and the development of her body. This was where Harue would need to step in. Harue continued to try desperately to bond with her new step-daughter but to no avail. As frustrating as it was, her father understood why and he tried to comfort Harue as best he could. -❀- When Harue tried to clean up Haruka's room, she grew very possessive of her things and didn't care how messy her room was. It went neglected without a mother's touch and she grew to like it that way. As a result, messiness became a habit in Haruka's room. Whenever her step-mother tried to clean up, out of spite, Haruka continued to deny her from touching a single one of her possessions and this stuck when it came to people she didn't like, even as an adult. To an extent, she also became a hoarder especially when it came to sentimental items from her mother's room and side of the family, as well as her grandparents' heirlooms, left for her in their will. -❀- Sadly, it wasn't until after her Harue protected her and her father from a rogue sand shinobi who tried to rob them, that Haruka understood just how much her step-mother cared and learned to trust her completely. Rightfully so, Haruka also felt massive guilt since Harue ended up in the Sunagakure hospital for a fatal wound to the chest in the skirmish. Haruka wished she had tried to understand and ask her father's opinion and how he felt so this wouldn't have had to happen.

She spent the night quite often in the hospital and would be found sleeping next to Harue at night, often crying herself to sleep for her regrets to which her step-mother comforted her and told her that it was alright and that she never blamed her. She expressed how terribly she felt when she lost her father and how anxious she felt when her mother started dating again. She knew all too well the pain of feeling like a parent was being betrayed and replaced by the other and explained how people who truly loved each other would want the other to move on without them. -❀- While Harue recovered and was released back to the house, her stuff was finally moved in. When she wasn't weak, Harue eagerly asked Haruka to go buy a few things and bring them back to her. Haruka brought back embroidery tools, two needles, lots of different colored threads, as well as, a wooden embroidery hoop with several pieces of cloth to use with it. The young lady learned how to sew and do embroidery for the first time while she and her step-mother could spend time together without any interruptions. Once she got the hang of it, Haruka even made a doll for her stepmother. -❀- Haruka started learning many things from her step-mother as she got older since she wasn't learning ninja abilities and techniques. She learned sewing, embroidery, knitting, and cooking. Haruka only liked sewing and embroidery, as well as cooking and learned to make dolls. Sometime after the 4th Great Ninja War, when she was 20 years old, she had a store build onto the front of the house her father built for her. She took unique items she found when her step-mother took her to the beach and decided to travel and gather some of her own to sell to the locals of Sunagakure and tourists, as well. Sometime after opening her shop, traffic started coming in rather slowly.

Within the hustle and bustle of the area she was in, she often noticed a child all by herself near her shop at all times of the day and sleeping by her door at night. It was safe to realize that the poor girl had been abandoned or lost her parents somehow. She brought her into her own home, gave her food and water until she decided she would adopt the child as her own. Since the girl's clothes had become tattered and ripped, she quickly and lovingly made her new clothes and even a doll after asking what her favorite animal was.

She asked the girl what her name was, but was surprised and saddened when the girl explained how she wanted nothing to do with the past she came from leading Haruka to believe it was very traumatizing for the poor child. As a result, the girl wanted Haruka to name her as her new mother. -❀- Sometime after Haruka adopted her loving little, Kaname, many orphans came to her shop. Haruka and Kaname worked to give them food, water, blankets, even dolls, and clothes until they found adults he wanted to take them in. She always melted when it came to people who adored children and loved seeing orphans finding new homes so they could finally feel the love of kind parents instead of living on the streets. Even so, she always missed them when she was no longer able to caudle and care for them herself.

There was a certain Orphan, however, he grew popular among the bunch of them especially when it came to getting Haruka's attention. He said his name was Shinki when he introduced himself to her and was very sweet, but quiet. Kaname got along with him very well until the two became best friends and Shinki also had a talent for ninjutsu at such a young age. -❀- When Shinki had found a special place in her heart and a friendly relationship with her daughter, Haruka considered him to be her favorite. After a few months of Haruka making clothes for him and stitching up any rips he got from fighting with kids who bullied him, Shinki became quite fond of her talent and wanted to learn to sew. As a result, Haruka took time to teach Shinki embroidery and how to fix his own rips and tears in his clothes. Sometime after, Shinki had gained such popularity among others for his talents, he stopped coming around with Haruka not knowing who adopted him. Regardless, she knew he would get a loving family eventually. -❀- None other than the Kazekage had taken in 9-year-old Shinki and gave him a loving home where he could join the academy and learn to become a shinobi that he, the village, and Shinki himself could be proud of. Gaara immediately started to notice Shinki's habit of embroidery early on after giving his old teddy bear to him and saw he'd fix the bear if it ever ripped. However, the bear was so old that it kept tearing apart until it was no longer fixable and was finally in tatters. Shinki wasn't good at making dolls, just fixing them, so Gaara wanted to get him a doll similar to the one he used to have, but his doll was handmade by a tailor recommended to Karura at the time who no longer was alive and had never had children.

-❀- Gaara was planning to give up after months of searching until Shinki finally explained that the woman who took care of him had a similar doll making style. He immediately found the location and went to visit this shop and found a woman a couple years older than him working on a doll for a small child whose mother asked for her services about a month before. When she finished, she placed the doll on the counter and tied a pretty pink bow around its neck for aesthetic and since it was a gift. Haruka then took notice of the Kagekage and, while not being the most find of him due to how she was taught about him in his past, still politely asked what brought him to her shop.

She gave him a kind smile to which he stared at the doll. He had brought a picture of himself with his old doll and showed it to her asking if she could possibly replicate the doll for his son. After taking a careful look at the image, she agreed to do the job. Gaara asked how much she wanted for her services to which she said she would make it for him for half the normal price since it was for a good cause. At this time, Haruka's little girl, who was not so little anymore, greeted the Kazekage happily. She was also in the academy and knew Shinki personally even now. -❀- While Haruka began to work on the new doll, Gaara curiously took a look around the shop and his eyes focused on a bluish-white seashell she had brought back from the beaches at the edge of the Land of Wind. She commented that he could hear the sound of the ocean if he placed the shell to his ear. When he did what she said, he was baffled by the sound he heard and stared at the shell. Haruka willingly gave him the shell free of charge since the money for the doll would be plenty. As the two talked, since he had a bit of free time, it was rather awkward at first until she attempted to have him tell her how he became Kazekage. -❀- A bit reluctant about his past, he admitted that he wasn't comfortable with revealing too much about his past self. Haruka understood why to some extent and didn't push the topic as she could empathize with having something about her that she didn't like and empathized with others who hated a part of themselves as well. He explained how it took a lot of hard work and encouragement from his siblings until he inevitably became Kazekage at a very early age. Hearing his story made her grow quite fond of him and learning that he took in Shinki of all orphans, she began to grow to love Gaara due to his kind and gentle nature.

He had changed so much since the first time she heard about his cruelty and was nothing like the monster Harue had told her about. She openly stated that she was proud of him for his accomplishments which flustered him slightly as he wasn't expecting such a compliment and was quite confused as to why she was blushing so much. Haruka avoided the question and asked him out to tea and dumplings when he was free one night. Completely clueless, he hesitantly accepted and met with her three nights later when he was available.

Meanings of Egyptian Names in Yu-Gi-Oh

My two cents in this topic. I’ve always loved names and their meanings. Of course, there’ll be some changes when you convert from the Japanese pronunciation of the names to Egyptian, but that’s what makes it interesting.

Japanese–>Egyptian

1.“Marikku”–>Maalik (مالك pronounce Maa-lik): Maalik can be found both as a first name or a last name. It means ‘Owner’ or ‘Possessor’ or even ‘King’. The closer meanings are ‘Owner’ and ‘Possessor’, though. It seems to have been Takahashi’s full intention to name him so, what with his Millennium Rod and mind-controlling people and all thatXD.

2.“Ishizu”–>Isis (ايزيس pronounce E-zees): This one is the most obviousXD. Isis is the name of an ancient Egyptian goddess who loved her brother, Osiris, above everything. The name choice for Isis is perfect because the morals of the legend are persistence, unwavering loyalty and love, and that’s exactly what Isis showed towards her brothers throughout the series.

3.“Rishdo”–>Roshdi (رشدي pronounce Rosh-di): I personally love that name - one of our most beloved Egyptian actors was called Roshdi Abaaza. This one is tricky to convert from Japanese to Arabic, because it can be Rasheed, Rashid, or Roshdi, which are all real names! However, I decided to go with Roshdi, since it is the closest to “Rishdo”, where only the i and o are inverted between both pronounciations. Also, the meaning behind that third name fits the storyline and the relationship between Maalik and Roshdi. Roshdi literally means My Sanity/My Voice Of Reason, with the ‘My’ pointing to the name-caller – Maalik in this case.

4.“Shadi”–>Shaadi (شادي pronounce Shaa-di): a common name both in Egypt and in other neighboring countries. It means ‘Singer’ or 'Beautiful Voice’. Not really sure why Takahashi chose that name, though.XD Little Kuriboh’s impersonation of Shadi definitely destroyed any 'beauty’ in his voice.

5.“Akefia”–>Akef (عاكف pronounce Aa-kif): I bet not many of you knew that there is an actual Arabic word similar to “Akefia”. I know that this is a fan-given name to the Thief King, not made official by Takahashi or anything. I have no idea whether the name was given with the knowledge of what it means or not, but Akef is a name that describes someone who is bent on something, to dedicate to a goal until satisfaction. That someone may isolate themselves from everything in the world for the sole purpose of focusing on that one goal. I don’t know a good English synonym for it, but it’s a word that describes focus and dedication, so it would be like saying 'He Who’s Dedicated’ or something.
