Rusty and Debbie have soooooo much in common, yet went about shit way differently.
Jonas was THE head of super science/protagonist and threw Rusty into this life without a single thought (besides "what if he dies" leading to the cloning) and despite Rusty pretty much resenting his father and his past, he tries filling that void that was left by him. this legacy is his worst enemy and yet he feels obligated to continue it.
in comparison, Force Majeure was, as Debbie put it, THE antagonist. Bobbi was also a celebrity (which like sure you can argue she wasn't the most big celeb out there but she had status) and a double agent, the two together making an insanely powerful duo, clearly making an example for every other antagonist. Bobbi never wanted Debbie to follow in her footsteps and left the life of an antagonist in her past, but Debbie wanted that life and embraced it with open arms, despite Bobbi's efforts to literally get rid of any trace of it (at least for her, cuz well. um. maybe don't give your daughter your powers LOL)
Rusty has a whole family that seems to be suffering from the Jonas curse and the cycle almost seems to repeat, and he fucking hates it despite choosing to do this. Debbie picked this up because she wanted to and is having the time of her life. if they were to ever sit down after the events of the movie and just like talk I feel like Rusty might explode.
I also think Hank and Dean also kinda parallel them in different ways but that's for a different post cuz there is a lot to analyze there
