this   is   100%   not   a   coincidence   but   i   love   how   poppy   seems   to   be   mimicking   the   behaviour   of   a   disney   channel   star .    in   her   earlier   years   she   worked   hard   to   give   herself   an   image   of   naivety   &   childishness   &   suddenly   in   her   new   music   she’s   talking   about   violence ,   sex ,   &   her   supposed   hatred   of   capitalism   ——    not   to   mention   making   blatant   references   to   drug   use .

"you're living the dream!" there's really not a hint of sarcasm to be found, but somehow, genuine emotion just doesn't seem to quite register in her tone.
