Ao3 and fanatic spaces are a good start (THOUG WITH ISSUES‼️‼️‼️‼️), but I really am frustrated to no end with the Dismal state of any form of visual pornography for women. Live action stuff is quite possibly the worst for reasons probably all to familiar with anyone already reading Particularly on and mainstream (read: free) sites, and though the site Bellesa is decent (I suppose), it's still entirely unsatisfactory if you like anything but the absolute most vanilla content available—especially when it comes to queer women. My biggest source of frustration though comes from comic style pieces, and though there are Extremely Rare good authors (funkybun/thatFunkybun goated beyond belief), there are virtually no Sex comic artists geared towards women, or even those by men that treat women with agency or like actual characters, and those that do are seemingly exclusively about incest or rape, things that, while fine to like, are subjects I really can't handle reading myself. Recently even, I found a (straight) comic that did an incredible job at making the female lead seem Like A Person and an even better job at using visual cues to Extremely Effectively Communicate what she was feeling, but even in that instance, I checked the artist page and everything made before or after its release was just . the same junk with noncharacter women and solely-sex-driven men. And anything involving lesbian characters reads as just . a male author who sees queer womens' sexuality as his own fetish, haphazardly throwing characters around without care for them Being Characters so they can rush straight into sex, that specific extremely-recognizable "written with one hand" style of dialog that I wish was not so familiar to me, at times leaving me, as a lesbian, to read m/m stuff instead just because the writers actually treat the men in the story as fully autonomous creatures capable of actually seeming to want to initiate sex.

This wouldn't frustrate and irritate me to such an extent if it was possible for me to immerse myself in writing to the same degree as visual stuff, but when Danders Is High I really just . blank entirely and lose the ability to imagine the situation . and my options are between rereading the same vanishingly rare example of well-written again, searching for hours until I settle on something passable, or read something and get only half of what I want out of it just because I can't experience it to a complete degree. This on top of the fact that I Don't Have Like An Hour Every Other Night to really sink my teeth into a decently long fic and it just leaves me Unjoyoys
