Goblins
A rag-tag conglomeration of several very different yet related species, among which Forest and plains goblins are the closest to what we know as a textbook definition of a fantasy goblin. Short, green and chaotic with a love for a fight and a long noses. They live in a small closely tied Hunter-gatherer communities, that are also often participating in pillaging and highway robberies.
Hobgoblins on their hand were capable of building civilisation of their own, with big cities, trade and economy, as well as written culture and organised religion. They often tend to have plains goblins captured during raids on their settlements as slaves and serfs. Some hobgoblins however – the ones that have chosen a life of a sellsword, use to create the adventuring parties alongside other goblin-kin.
Imps – that are possinly a creation of certain magical experiments are known as excellent spies, due to them making no sounds while walking, as well as blending perfectly with the surrounding darkness with their crimson fur.
Cave goblins or feral goblins as they also called are the only ones of the goblinoid kin, who don’t have any signs of having a society. Not even a primitive language. Blind, yet with the excellent smelling and hearing they live deep underground feeding on bats, worms and the cave insects, as well as the flesh of a rare unsuspecting adventurers…
