Is Mateo insecure about his teeth or something?

I mean, in the recent posts, both of them show him covering his mouth when trying to calm someone down.

Also, before he turned giant, did he have the same teeth? They are pretty sharp. Like fangs.

Not at all! He’s very proud of his teeth.

He’s actually doing that as a reminder of self control than to hide them. He does that very often when he’s with people he tolerates/wants to be around.

He always had them btw! In my last comics he’s not a giant but rather the other ones had gone small (and unfortunately had been found by him).

Why did Mateo try to eat June, a literal child, if his diet mostly consists of criminals?

Mateo will do anything to stay stable, he acts by instinct first. He doesn’t have morals. Whatever benefits him will do, the rest is just unfortunate occasions which he treats as just “experiences” rather than something that will affect him in the future.

I can’t tell if you are talking about Yukii or Jane tho.

I love enemies to friends/lovers/family or any kind of relationship that shows how complex the human emotions are.

I’m not talking about “I was forced to marry them” or “they’ve bullied me since childhood”, I’m talking about pure hatred towards one another to genuine devotion for each others’ well being.

When a situation appears where both are forced to coexist with one another, where simple habits begins to be a way of understanding. Those situations which tests the character’s beliefs against the other (specially when they are stubborn with their opinion). They begin to learn different views, understand behaviors, their motives for certain actions. Soon they watch the persona they’ve built about that other character collapse, they begin to relate to the one they despised the most. They are no longer blinded by the preconceptions, that’s where the understanding comes, and so does empathy, interest, motivation, uncertainty, even identity crisis at some point. It’s like watching a stranger kill someone you’ve known for so long and you blame yourself for it, but at the same time you are happy they are gone, because they were never real.

That’s why I think is so amazing… In the “falling in love first” both little by little begin to see each others’ flaws, love fades with time.

In “enemies to whatever type of relationship” the flaws are the ones to become invisible little by little, because they never tried to hide them from each other in the first place. The more they learn, the more they understand less important those flaws become.

Hey! So i believe you mentioned it before, when you were talking about Mateo's and yukii's lore, but I wanted to be sure. So meteo unwillingly grows? I see some art of him regular sized and then I see him like... huge, and i was wondering how it works, like an example or something ^_^ love how perfect ur art looks btw

Mateo’s body grows accordingly to his hunger. Unfortunately for him this man is aways hungry, that’s why he eats all the time and ahem “in large scales”, he gotta keep his body stable (human-sized).

He is claustrophobic so imagine the mess it would be for him to be starving in a small room.

Hi! I've been following your blog for a while, and there's something I don't understand: what's the relationship between Mateo and Yuki? (I don't know if that's the girl's name 😭) Anyway, I think it's really cute that they're like father and daughter, or ol' brother ,y por qué en tu última publicación no se la come ,es tonto,lo se ,pero no entendí (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

They are like the found family dynamic with the villain/antagonist who unintentionally adopted the sunshine character.

He found her and she followed him. He tried to get rid of her (many many times) but she’s surprisingly strong compared to him, but she lacks experience.

Unlike everyone he had created any kind of relationship, short or long terms, she’s the only one who just wants to hang around just because, not seeking anything to take advantage of. Their bond became stronger because of that, she got a father figure and he got a reason to live for a little longer.

Has Mateo ever like actually scared Yukii? Like, to the point where she is terrified of him or something he did? Considering the fact that she is five years old, I'd assume that Mateo could be pretty scary to her sometimes, especially if she doesn't have a way out of the situation.

It’s difficult to make Yukii actually scared of something, she’s curious about things which makes her have no self preservation skills at all, if something’s dangerous she just wouldn’t know…

But if Mateo ever finds out what her trigger is then yes, he can make her very terrified of him

In the comic she wasn’t scared of being eaten, she was upset because she lost to him

Tho Mateo had quite big changes I decided to just forget that girl and work on something else, Yukii has nothing to do with her

She’s probably going to force him to throw up before it’s too late, which is a hard mission since he hates doing that

Why do they call poor Mateo fat? How does he react? Poor thing, he just wants to eat people in peace ;v

Yukii calls Mateo “fat” simply because he eats too much… Also because of his weight, he’s heavy due to his size lol

Mateo doesn’t like to be insulted, specially when it comes from someone he looks down upon which is Yukii’s case

He began to extremely hate being called fat after she started calling him that
