Decided to add on to Iris's character sheet from yesterday for anyone who's interested, so here's some more info about her!
Empathy - can channel others' emotions and physical pain.
Healing - can use empathic abilities to take away others' ailments and injuries, and heal from them herself. Iris can heal more rapidly than the average person, and is able to withstand and heal from what would usually be a fatal wound or injury. She is also immune to most common illnesses. She cannot heal or take away non-curable illnesses or any mental ailments/disorders.
Enhanced Vision - can see clearly up to 500ft away, as well as see perfectly in the dark (night vision). Iris cannot see through fog or solid objects, however.
Acrobatics - naturally agile and flexible as a result of taking gymnastics as a child.
Archery - very adept archer, enhanced vision allows Iris to directly hit any target within 500ft. Creates her own multi-functioning arrows, some of which act as grappling hooks or are equipped with elemental properties such as fire, electricity, and ice.
Background: Not much is known about Blaire's past. All anyone knows is that she was born in a small town to two loving parents and has a brother ten years younger than her. She is the only one in her family with superhuman abilities, and no one knows why or how she got them.
When she was a teenager, a scientist masqueraded as a doctor drew a sample of Blaire's blood and sent it to a top secret facility for the government to replicate and inject into soldiers to create a superhuman army. When Blaire learned of what was going on through a private investigator who had been tailing the scientist, the investigator's research led her to several other people, young and old alike, with mysterious abilities who were also being used in these experiments. She and the others helped to expose the government, and a new leader was placed into office who passed a bill to protect all superhuman lives.
Several years later, Blaire is living in a large city with the private-investigator-turned-trusted-ally, Ellie Brooks, as her roommate, with whom she trains during the day, and fights crime as the hooded vigilante, Iris, at night.
Personality: To most who do not know her personally, Blaire can come across as aloof and sometimes cold, but do not let that front fool you — she is as warm and compassionate as they come. Because her empathic abilities take such a toll on her mind and body, Blaire tends to suppress much of her own emotions in order to keep her abilities in check. However, to those she is closest, Blaire is exceptionally kind and friendly, and she is always the first to help whenever one of her loved ones is in need. Blaire has a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor that can sometimes come off as uneasy or serious, and she absolutely hates catch phrases and one-liners. As Iris, she tends to avoid media, often refraining from commenting or making public appearances unless specifically ordered by the government to make a statement. Blaire is also a bookworm, often found reading or researching in her free time, and she is known to ramble about what most would consider "useless facts."
Hobbies: reading, gymnastics, archery, training, traveling, stargazing, helping others
Blaire was gifted a book of jokes by her brother for her 21st birthday. She's had it hidden underneath her bed for the past four years, and although she would never admit to it, she tries to learn at least one new joke a week.
Blaire, as Iris, usually tries to keep in touch with the people she saves, and often exchanges letters with them.
Despite being able to heal rapidly, several of the more severe injuries she'd taken from her victims or sustained during combat have left scars all across her body.
Despite being able to feel and experience romantic feelings through others empathically, Blaire herself is aromantic and asexual. She has no interest in one day settling down with someone, but enjoys the company of her roommate, friends, and family.
She and Ellie have a pet cat named Snickers that Blaire took in after she found it practically starving, searching for scraps on the street.
