Oh yeah I HAVE TO draw this new part of the @buggachat Bekery Enemies AU. It was like uff dramatic and fancy scene, and also I love how marinette imgine a evil Adrien with his own words.

do you think that this is the start of a new phase in the LadyNoir relationship? A rebuilding? looking at the the official season 5 poster...

I was literally just thinking that it’s interesting how basically every single official season promotional poster has had Ladybug with her back turned to Chat Noir, looking directly at the viewers

Which is all cool and normal and expected since they’re doing cool superhero action poses and the back to back thing always looks badass. A lot of times the posters would also just be their solo portraits pasted next to each other, the same portraits that end up on all the merch. But then you get to the Season 5 promo art and the pattern is broken

Actually "the pattern is broken" is an understatement because this image actually makes you feel like you're interrupting something, u were invited to whatever party they were having in the past 4 seasons but now it's your silent cue to get your coat and go home

I especially like how it’s a direct parallel to the Season 2 art

Unlike the other season posters, the art for both of these was made with the intention of having them together and would look completely wrong if you tried to have either one of them on their own and slap the picture on a piece of merch or a solo poster or something (Do Not Separate Them)

But in the Season 5 poster they've done a complete 180 from Season 2. Suddenly Ladybug doesn't have her back to him anymore. They're facing each other for the first time and looking only at each other like they forgot we were even here. I saw some Miraculous news post somewhere on the internet say the new poster was "a bit basic but cute," but honestly it's simplicity is one of the most important things about it. There's no more Miracle box, no secondary heroes, not even an audience that they're posing for, absolutely nothing else. Just the two of them.

So yes, it seems like a new beginning, like they're returning to simplicity ( "us against the world" ) while simultaneously destroying everything that stood between them so they can reach each other and finally, truly see each other.

augh…. the ending of s4 finale ending was everything…. ladybug admitting that she was lying to him, that she was pushing him away. they both know that they’re not doing good. they both know that their relationship isn’t good right now. but they’re still going to try. they’re going to do everything they can to Make it good. they’re not giving up on each other. they made a silent promise to work on it, to be better, to not let the distance between them happen again. obsessed.

thinking about the last ladynoir scene again and the parallel to origins, and how in origins marinette was initially rude to adrien and she fell in love with him when he forgave her and was kind to her despite this, and how in strike back the lightning strikes after she says that chat noir should’ve given up on her because of the way she treated him, and he offers her support and forgiveness in response, the same way adrien offered her only kindness after she’d treated him unfairly, and that’s it that’s how she fell in love, i’m so emotional about them aaaaaaaaaa
