“please don't stop… don't go yet!”
you were clinging onto your boyfriend, who had just pulled away from your lips after a few minutes of making out. the only few minutes of the day you even got to be with him!
“i have to. you know that…”
it pained chat to leave you already. he just got to see you again, when time was already up again. you both knew it would be like this. secretly dating a superhero wouldn't be easy. but every time you had to say goodbye hurt.
“just one more minute…”
you tried to bargain with chat, but he had to keep strong. he wanted to spend all the time in the world with you, but he knew he had to go again.
“i promise you, i'll make it up to you!”
he pressed a quick kiss onto your lips, before hopping out of the alley you two were hiding in, leaving you wondering when you got to see him again…

Felix's Soul Tie - Written on you is a dramatised description of how you’ll meet your soulmate
Of all the soul ties to exist, she must have had the worst one. While others had danger meters or their soulmates first words written on their wrists, she had an incredibly horrible description to go off of.
Y/N’s soul tie had first shown up when she turned 5. She was one of the lucky ones who got a visible soulmark. It meant that her parents never worried about whether she had a soulmate or not.
Unfortunately for her, and at the amusement of her family members, her soul tie was something most called an ‘unreliable narrator’. Basically, one would have a description of the circumstances under which they would meet their soulmate, with the mark fading into another description and then into the soulmate's name once the two meet.
It sounded wonderful in theory. You could know where or when you’d meet your soulmate and it should've been easy. However, all of the descriptions were more complicated than they needed to be.
Y/N’s friend Nathaniel, for example, had the same soul tie as her. His description had been, you’ll meet in a place of high energy and it’ll be hot. To everyone in their friend group, they assumed it would be some sort of fire or a dangerous situation. In reality, Nathaniel had met his soulmate at a busy coffee shop, where he slipped on a puddle of caramel latte and flung his drink across the room. It hit a guy in the face. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
Unreliable.
It was as though the universe was making a joke out of them.
For Y/N, in a cursive font, her words wrote, they’ll find you in the glow of something almost holy. As much as Y/N wanted to believe she’d meet them in a church she also had no trust in the words at all.
“Of all the ties I could have gotten,” she sighed as she got dressed. She had been invited to a friend's birthday party, it was Nathaniel’s soulmate Mark, and was almost running late.
She quickly grabbed her gifts for him, some compression gloves to help with his wrist–too much pain from writing, a lego typewriter and a self-painted portrait of the ravenette. She had triple checked with Nathaniel to ensure they didn’t get the same gifts beforehand.
Leaving her small apartment, she walked to the venue. She was told it would be quite the celebration. She honestly had no idea Mark and Nathaniel had so many friends but she was quite excited to meet other people.
She peered at the little paragraph of text on her wrists, there was a feeling she couldn’t quite place swirling in her chest but she brushed it off and kept moving.

Felix didn’t want to be there. He had much better things to do. He could be plotting on how to steal his uncle’s ring or even rearranging his extravagant room for the 14th time that week. Instead, his mother forced him to attend the party of some kid he barely knew with his cousin.
Adrien bounded forward, a bright smile on his face as he waved at some of his classmates. He dropped both his and Felix’s gifts on a table where others had placed theirs. Felix, unwillingly, followed Adrien as he didn’t want to be seen as a loner amongst the many random people.
Of course many of the partygoers knew who he was. Adrien's evil twin-cousin who tried to ruin their friendship. He felt a glare in the back of his head and turned to see Marinette, a girl who had a minor crush on his cousin during high school glaring at him. She probably still held a grudge against him for trying to isolate Adrien further.
He rose an eyebrow at her condescendingly only for her to look away, dragging a seemingly love struck fool away with her. ‘Must be her soulmate’ he thought to himself as he saw the way the two interacted.
As he waited for Adrien to finish speaking to one of his friends, he couldn’t help but think of the words printed into his wrist. Felix hated his soul tie. He was one who enjoyed logical and straightforward things. Having an unreliable description bothered him to no end.
He was snapped out of his thoughts once Adrien tugged him along. “Mark’s gonna blow out his candles,” he told the other blonde.
“Must I watch such a childish event?” Felix grumbled as they neared the large group. Adrien sent him a very sweet, yet obviously sarcastic, smile and nodded. The two stood quite close to the birthday boy.
Felix saw how Mark entwined his hands with a red-head and for the first time in a while felt a pang of jealousy. As he stared at the small firecrackers on the cake he found himself wondering when he too would find his fated partner. He could tell Adrien was quite close to finding his and even the annoying bluenette seemed to have hers.
He saw a hand, feminine, reach out to light the candles. He held onto his wrist as the group counted down for the birthday boy to blow out his candles. The firelight danced in his vision but he couldn't stop thinking about his mark’s words. Something almost holy. What did that even mean?
As the countdown came closer to 1, Felix felt the sudden urge to look up. He tried to fight it at first but eventually couldn’t, peering up slightly, he made eye contact with the person standing across from him. Except she was already looking at him.
For a second, Felix forgot where he was. The cheering, the music, all of it faded. There was only her. The light from the bright candles seemed to surround her, giving her a bright, almost heavenly glow. Felix loosened his grip on his wrists as he held eye contact with the absolutely ethereal being across from him.
Y/N wasn’t any better. She had first noticed the boy when he walked in with Adrien but only got a good look at him now. The light seemed to cling to him, a soft and golden aura around him. She didn’t mean to stare, she didn’t even know she was doing it but she couldn’t help herself.
And like that, everyone seemed to speed up again. Felix felt himself being pulled away by Adrien, he didn’t even know where the boy was taking him. But the crowd of teens surrounded Mark and in turn, he lost sight of the girl who had seemed to imprint on his heart in a matter of seconds.
Once he snapped out of his trance, he firmly planted his feet on the ground, Adrien almost fell. The excited blonde turned to look at the grumpier version of himself. “What are you doing?” he questioned.
“I have to go,” Felix began but was cut off once more.
“Seriously? You’re leaving already? Felix the party isn’t even halfway done,.” Adrien groaned, arms resting on his hips as he side eyed his cousin. “Besides, I promised Aunty Amelie that I’d get you out of the house for the rest of the day,” he mumbled.
“You what-” Felix turned to glare at his cousin, there was no ill intent but he couldn’t believe his mother had conspired with this child to get him out. Not that he was ungrateful. He wouldn’t have gotten to meet the girl if he stayed home.
The girl.
“Adrien, the girl who lit up the candles…” Felix trailed off once he saw how his cousin looked at him. He could feel the teasing coming from a while away.
“The same girl you were staring at the entire time we were counting down? Don’t think I’ve ever seen you that distracted Felix” Adrien smirked.
Felix rolled his eyes, “What’s her name?” he asked seriously.
Adrien, somewhat sensing the sincerity in his tone, decided to corporate. “Y/N,” he shrugged, “She used to go to Francis Dupont with but was in the art department so I never saw her much.”
Felix felt his heart flutter. Y/N. Her name was almost as pretty as she was. “Where can I find…”
“She’s right behind you,” Adrien sang playfully before backing away from the two. He had no idea what was going on but he wasn’t going to interrupt his cousin's interaction with what he thought was Felix’s first crush.
Y/N stood behind the tall blonde boy, waving briefly at Adrien as he walked away.
When she had first lost him in the crowd her spirits fell. Sure she was aware she had a soulmate somewhere, but she couldn't help but feel connected to the gorgeous boy who looked into her soul within the few seconds they had been staring at each other.
She looked to her wrists only to gasp as she noticed the words on her wrists scattering to make something new. Mark, who stood beside her as he gushed about her painting, noticed her distracted gaze and looked at her wrists.
“You found him?!!” he gasped loudly. Y/N couldn’t answer, she was waiting in anticipation. You’ll meet them above the glow of a fancy birthday candle. Her heart stopped.
Mark snorted at the scenario only to realise it must have happened recently. “This is the best birthday gift I could ever ask for,” he chuckled.
Y/N playfully shoved him before turning to run off. She knew the boy came in with Adrien so all she needed to do was find them. “I’ll see you later Mark!!” she yelled out. That’s how she found herself behind him, unsure of what to say as Adrien walked away.
Felix turned to face the shorter girl, and both seemed to fall into that same trance-like state again, the rest of the world quietly fading in the background.
“Hi,” she said softly.
In that moment, Felix decided he could listen to her talk forever—just that one word was enough to make the noise in his mind quiet.
“I’m pretty sure you’re my soulmate.”
Felix lost all composure, jaw dropping slightly as he immediately pulled up his sleeves. The thought hadn’t even crossed his mind—not seriously. Not her.
But there it was.His wrist, which had once held a phrase that made no sense to him no matter how hard he tried, now rearranged itself before his eyes.
The letters slid into place, slow and certain.Y/N.
He looked up at her, breath catching, like his body finally realized it had been waiting for her this whole time.
“I’m quite sure I am,” he said softly, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Her grin lit up the space between them like something sacred.
Felix hated his soul tie. He was one who enjoyed logical and straightforward things. Having an unreliable description bothered him to no end.
But now?
Now, as she wrapped her hand gently around his arm, head resting against his shoulder like she belonged there, the two of them walking together around the birthday venue, sharing stories and laughing like old friends who finally met after many years.
Felix realized something.
Maybe soulmates weren’t meant to be understood. Maybe they were meant to be felt. And with her beside him, warm and real and entirely unexpected, Felix didn’t mind the mystery.
How many cold-distant, awful behavior or even rejection smb has to go through before they force you into telling "oy, eureka, that guy's totally not a good pick, ok"
I didn't remember she had so many heart eyes on her in this frame. It could kind of give off some of, how do I say this, the embarrassing and humiliating. Idk , whatever. Besides, even when she got [tame, soft, chill, more open/verbal] Adrien instead, as her current obsession and infatuation, she's still, idk... male-centered, like.
You could move on, it's not your main interest (the romance and sh*t. More beautiful things are to be valued, cherised, considered and protected), also those affections or devotions can eventually degrade you. Like, there's bound you'd lose smth in you. Yes, sis, self-erasure to smb is a thing ma girl. You don't notice it but it is happening at a real time. Like, it's really there, you are loosing smth very important from yourself and your identity.
Edit:
He has his priorities. Maintaining his image, presence and status. And she doesn't belong there, idk or he is dissatisfied.
And also, another perspective, school... you should be able to bite and have a backbone or you won't survive well. It's a hierarchy of who-bites-who behavior, ok. He doesn't need any other layer, attention and this strange foced-comphet fulfillment. He is another type of guy, like, maybe more superficial or smth. Other than his interest in being bookish, he doesn't care, really.
Comphet scripts aren't for everybody's type and some people are very shy, irritable, unbothered, open up late. Like, you can not force that stuff on anyone. There are more beautiful things and more things in depth to be infatuated, obsessed with, maybe. Idk. This guy can be on an ace spectrum and there's no "fixing or redeeming" when those people aren't broken in that department. Remember Todd Chaves, for a better example. He's cool.
no bc what happened to those ml twitter aus. that shit was my JAM like adrien flirting with chat noir even tho he is chat noir so he was rly just switching his twt accounts? fantastic gimme 10 more of em right now.
i feel like considering the events of the season 5 finale there is SO much more lore that could be played around with. exhibit a: adrien still feeling the obligation to uphold the agreste image so he NEVER speaks badly of his father who supposedly “saved” paris by sacrificing himself.
chat noir, however? absolutely no limitations to what he could say about that shitbag gabriel agreste.
rando on twt: gabriel agreste is so selfless for giving up everything to protect paris🥹🥹
—> @/therealchatnoir: hahahah ok sure but didn’t yall hear thru the grapevine he abused his son. did u know that. @/adrienagrestebrand can u confirm
—> @/adrienagrestebrand: uh
consider it a method for adrien to cope with his complicated feelings on his deceased father. a healthy method? absolutely not. a method, though.
anyways someone pls make this and tag me in it i will love u forever
It will always be extremely hilarious to me that French fans (and French-speaking fans) of Miraculous had it basically told to them at the start of the show that Gabriel was Hawkmoth/le Papillon. Why? Because “Agreste” is the French name for a Grayling Butterfly. Pretty much all of the characters’ last names (and some first names) have a tie to an important aspect of their character (Chloe Bourgeois being a glaringly obvious one), and them having one of the main leads (and thus his father) have a name of a butterfly is just too funny to me.
“A mysterious butterfly supervillain has appeared! Who could he possibly be??”
“Uh… maybe the guy literally named after a butterfly?”
