as much as I love and cherish fresh Wayne protein, the overall re-write almost feels like we've lost just as much as we've gained. thankfully, I still have the old build so I can re-visit the original farms dialogue if I want to, but what do you mean the Entity no longer finishes sentences for you, predicting the word pattern almost word for word. what do you mean the Entity no longer tells you that they understand the feeling of hating being trapped. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NO REACHING OUT AND TOUCHING THE COUSIN'S HAND :'(

Example of good video game writing in Scarlet Hollow: the sticker on Kaneeka's laptop. I noticed it in Chapter 2, but others may have gotten to see it as early as the end of Chapter 1. If you don’t know anime, all you see is a cute anime critter, possibly a pokemon. If you do know anime, you’ll recognise Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, a dark and bloody deconstruction of magical girl stories. Knowing more about her taste in anime is a poignant piece of characterisation for Kaneeka, a goth anime nerd stuck in a small dead-end mining town. But then I got to Chapter 5 and found out what Kaneeka's actual situation is, and where her plotline has been going all along, and that sticker turned out to be the biggest, bleakest piece of foreshadowing in a game full of big, bleak foreshadowings.
