Weird and kind of hilarious when you and your psych nurse are talking meds and dosages and she agreed (hesitantly, but still) when I said at this point I don’t think my body even known what overdoing is.

I've been beating myself up quite a bit for having missed most of the wedding. That's not what I meant to do. I was so excited for this wedding. And then, of course, I had to have a panic attack because I was the only person there that I knew. I'm not gonna sit and follow my cousins around the whole night after they just got married, and after having a panic attack, I don't wanna sit there and be the center of attention on their wedding day. So I left. And I've been beating myself up for it. I feel like an awful person.
9/20
If I make it though this visit without an anxiety attack it'll be good. I feel so much more guilty in person than I did before.
She said she missed me at the reception and immediately pangs of guilt set in. It makes me want to cut - I'm not going to- but I want to.
Trigger/content warning: self-harm/suicidal ideation, meds, doctors, mental illness updates, family relationships
Just got back from NY visiting family and going to my cousins wedding.
Beating myself up about wedding. I made it through the ceremony but after about 10 minutes into the reception I had a panic attack bc I was the only one there (besides the bride and groom) that I knew. My dad and step mom weren't able to make it so I had to leave. My social anxiety and fear of being alone with groups of strangers got the best of me. My cousins have been so nice and understanding about it but I kind of hate myself for it.
Got called lazy by my boss even though I feel like I'm always running around doing a million things at once so that hurt
Psych lowered my depression meds to try to help with weight but it's making my depression worse
I haven't seen a regular solo therapist in a few months bc my old one started using my sessions as her own and I've been on a waiting list with my psych place to see a therapist there but the waiting list is months out.
Fighting/not speaking to my chosen family sister turned roommate. Our friendship has just deteriorated and we've only lived together for like 3 months. I try to give grace where I can but I feel like I'm her mother most of the time and things are not okay. Emotionally I am not safe with her anymore and it hurts bc at one point she was my person
I feel like I'm spiraling. I almost cut Monday night, was interrupted by a knock on my door and Sadie going nuts barking at the knock.
Don't ever hesitate. Reblog this. TUMBLR RULE. When you see it, REBLOG IT.
The original post only has US helplines. I've added UK helplines underneath. It would be great if people could add numbers from everywhere in the world.

I don't think suicidal people get enough credit for not acting on their suicidal thoughts.
This post is for all of you who have survived the urge to end your life, either coming out the other side or still fighting to stay alive.
I noticed how when someone has a physical illness such as cancer, and they come out the other side or even remission, they are able to celebrate surviving. I think all of the survivors of being suicidal should too.
Congratulations, and keep on fighting.
