The week ahead: June 24 - June 30
After several weeks of great shows, is Jose's Underground Lounge finally taking a break? Also, I have no idea who Olivia Mancini is, but she is playing a ton of shows in the area this week. A quick listen on her Bandcamp page shows that she is quite a prolific and talented artist.
June 25 (Tue) - Performing at the Henry Miller Memorial Library is the aforementioned Olivia Mancini together with Cairo, a bass n' drum duo. There will be no overnight closures on Highway 1, so Monterey residents will be able to return from the show. We are really digging Cairo's tracks on Bandcamp. Also on the bill is Antonette Goroch, who is playing with Olivia Mancini at every local show.

$10 suggested, no one turned away | Doors: 7:30, Show 8:00
June 26 (Wed) - One new location for concerts this week is the Portola Hotel. Local station KRML is hosting a free pop-concert with Gooding. Free? Pool party? Peter B brews? Color me impressed.
