How would Monty act when he's jealous?

He’s such a shit.

He’s always near you and at least touching you, even if it’s only your shoulders touching, although he’d prefer to be holding your hand or have his arm around your waist.

He literally growls.

If he notices anyone looking at you for longer than he’d like, he kisses you, deeply, hand on jaw slowly sliding back and into your hair.

Sometimes he pushes people up against lockers because they glance at you.

Always yelling, “That’s my girl/guy!” because he’s always proud of you.

You’re constantly reminding him that while you’re “his” you don’t actually belong to him and you are your own person and his jealousy is kind of unhealthy. So he gives you puppy dog eyes as way of apology and backs off for the next few days, but goes right back to it once the guilt wears off.

And like you said, he’d see you laughing at his reaction and he wouldn’t be able to help himself from smiling, because you just look so happy in that moment, and at this high school it’s so rare seeing genuine happiness that he’s a little blown away and it’s in that moment that he decides he wants to get to know the person who dared yell “DAYUM PAPI” at him when he mooned most of the school. 

In fact, you’re probably walking along the next day, minding your own business before school, biting into an apple, when he runs up next to you and says, “Heyyyy, how’s it going?” but of course you can’t reply because you have a big chunk of apple in your mouth because you weren’t expecting anyone to try talking to you right then. I realize I misread that last ask by accident so here's part 2 with the exception we're writing for crush and not s/o– listen, there's a difference so 🤙 my bad I feel like with his crush at a party, the situation would be a bit more complicated because monty doesn't have any claim on her persay. but imagine crush showing up to a party and monty either seeing her right away or one of the guys pointing her out, and of course he nearly chokes on his drink when he sees her– "hey y/n's here!" one of the guys standing around montgomery points out, monty pausing mid sip to look up. the alcohol sliding down his throat suddenly decided it took a wrong turn and came back up through his nose, monty coughing violently while the guys turned their attention from her to him. "you alright dude?" once he was through with his coughing fit he nodded, waving them off. "just went down the wrong pipe," he replies, playing it off with a hoarse laugh. meanwhile y/n was moving unsurely in the foreign territory. glancing around she tried to look for anyone she recognized, offering a kind smile when someone glanced her way while searching for a friendly face. at some point monty managed to sneak away from his friends discreetly after she arrived, trying to pick her out in the crowd, and feeling a bit of relief when he saw her near the beverage table with some other girls. he picked his way through the crowd, flashing a smile when he was face to face with her. "hey y/n," he greeted, to her surprise. she glanced up at him, arching an eyebrow and replying unsurely, "hey montgomery..." "hey. are you having fun?" the girls around her sort of drifted off back into the party, leaving monty and y/n standing as alone as they could be in a room full of intoxicated teens. "I guess so, although parties aren't really my scene, thought I had to give one a try at least once in my highschool career. I'd hate to think I missed out," she explains, monty nodding along as she does so. and for the rest of the night she had a surprisingly pleasant time talking to monty, while getting steadily more drunk. meanwhile at some point monty stopped drinking, staying sober enough so he could keep an eye on y/n and even give her a ride home. — I apologize, its not my best writing, but 🤷‍♀️

oh my indeed.

I feel like monty would love to drag his s/o to parties you know, have a little teenage fun, get a little drunk and a little dirty if you know what I mean…but at the same time monty’s gotta keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn’t get into any trouble that doesn’t involve him, make sure no guys that aren’t him touch her.

I can imagine a scenario where she gets cat called because she’s all dressed up and looking fine, and monty just throws one threatening glare and those boys are averting their eyes and admiring the sky like, “pretty girl who? I only know the beauty of the stars above”

or somewhere along the lines she gets a little tipsy, it is a party after all, and somebody enjoying themselves a little too much accidentally knocks her over. montgomery being montgomery would be ready to fight, and s/o is sobering up in seconds to calm him down–“it was an accident! and I’m fine baby, see? not a scratch.”

Marcus being the creep he is trying to hit on montys s/o and ohh boy montys pissed

Marcus can get wrecked. What a fucking twat. Ugh.

The moment Marcus sets his eye on Monty’s s/o would essentially be a death sentence. Unlike Bryce, I don’t think Marcus has the power to throw around to keep his creep factor much of a secret. It’s understandable that people are afraid to cross Bryce, but Marcus? Honestly, he’s so weak. So even the idea that he would try to make a move on Monty’s s/o is insane, it just goes to show what an ego Marcus has that he thinks he can get away with going for them.

They’d probably push Marcus away a little bit because they’re not quite sure what’s happening. They’re with Monty, it’s not a secret, and they probably thought Marcus was their friend–he’s good at acting like he’s a good guy, so he was probably friendly and kind, and then he tries to pull some stupid stunt like he did with Hannah, and Monty would flip if he saw or once he hears, because you know his s/o would be like, “Marcus was really…he kind of, well not kind of, but he tried to touch me–” and they wouldn’t even be able to finish their sentence before Monty saw red and hunted Marcus down.

And you know people know Marcus is a creep–Zach saw it and tried to comfort Hannah, so Zach would probably stand up for Monty’s s/o if he heard about it, too. And we all know that Monty wouldn’t need any help to get at Marcus, but I feel like quite a few people would side with Monty over Marcus, not least of all because of Monty’s terrifying fighting skills.

Can we get some headcanons for monty's home life?

It’s kind of shit?

I’ve done a post about his parents before and they’re a big influence on him despite the fact that they’re not really there. I feel like he’s one of those rich white boys whose parents give him everything he wants but are never actually there to support him unless it’s advantageous to them. For example I feel like his father is super proud of his baseball skills, but a huge part of that is because he can say “that’s my boy!” when Monty does well on the field. It looks good for his father that his son is so skilled in something. So he’s there for that. But when Monty gets suspended for fighting? His parents just shake that off and don’t talk to him about it like they should. In fact, his dad probably says something like, “But how does the other guy look?” And Monty just sort of does a fake laugh and shrugs and goes to his room, and his parents don’t bother to check on him or see how he’s doing because he’s fine, he’s doing his thing.

It’s because of Monty’s parents’ lack of involvement in his life that he’s able to go to all of these parties and hang out at Bryce’s house so much and drink in a fucking alleyway outside of a convenience store. They don’t worry about where he is or what he’s up to because he always comes home at some point. And he’s never outwardly worse for wear. Just like at school, Monty puts on a front at home because it’s the only way his parents will pay him any attention–acting up in school has never done the trick because Monty’s parents have never really scolded him or grounded him. They’ve always just picked him up whenever he’s been suspended or whenever he’s gotten in trouble and gone on with their lives.

Monty doesn’t have people over to his house. He always goes to someone else’s house if only to escape from his home life, which is essentially a life of ignorant bliss. His parents don’t acknowledge the bad as they should, they just pay attention to where Monty excels, which is on the field or in a fight or if he accidentally lets slip that he’s meeting a girl.

Speaking of, I feel like Monty does not get girls the way some of the other jocks seem to. He’s not always got a girl hanging off of his arm so whenever he actually does mention a girl his dad is over the top proud because he’s raising a hot blooded American boy who loves baseball and chasing skirts. And that’s kind of all his dad cares about in his son’s life. Grades are good, but sports and girls are better.

His fucking name is Montgomery and if that doesn’t say “pretentious” I don’t know what does. His name roughly translates to “mountain belonging to the ruler.” Monty itself means “mountain.” There’s also a senior British Army officer by the name of Montgomery who fought and lead in both world wars. Like, that’s a lot to live up to in a name even if it isn’t passed down to you through generations.
