Well, this A-grade amateur let a roll of film run through the laundry machine. Damn my deep pockets!
The results are below. Some of them I kind of love, some of them I kind of hate. You see my friend P folding his keffiyeh on top of a mountain; and scenery on the dykes on a May evening.

So, film canisters are not watertight. When they are immersed (as in a laundry machine!) the water trapped inside the dark space begins to dissolve the bonds between the base and the emulsion, distorts colour, and can stick the separated emulsion to the back of the next coil of base… Live and learn! I’m happy to get anything at all.

Cotton blooms in the valley bottoms of southwest Arizona. In long rows, the rust-coloured dirt is gathered in little piles around the roots.
