August 8th : Outdoor Scratch Session - UNDER PRESSURE
As part of the programming for the 20th Anniversary edition, Soul Mech, De La Rap & Under Pressure present "Sunday" Scratch Sessions #12 (Under Pressure Edition) SATURDAY AUGUST 8th @ NOON Djs and turntablists of all skill levels and musical genres are welcome. Our goal is to bring all Djs together in an effort to build our scratch community, provide a platform for an exchange of ideas and musicality, and to promote the elevation of our craft. There will be multiple scratch setups and live beats by Skribe & Tehu. Hosted by Charles-Olivier Manzo & D.j. Killa-Jewel

August 9th : ScratchMobile BBQ Edition // August 9th
ScratchMobile will be entering it's 5th year of bringing head nod and smiles to Montreal street corners this year. Come join us on Sunday August 9th from 12pm till 5pm at Jeanne-Mance Park for the 3rd ScratchMobile BBQ...... 2 x ScratchMobiles 1 x BBQ Many people We'll have the BBQ in the same corner we've had it the last two times, not far from the small stone chalet that is close to the corner of Duluth and Parc Ave. Another good landmark in the Parc is the childrens playground, not next to it, but close by....... ScratchMobile had a BIG baby brother. A well fancy portable sound system was created by DJ Rodroid. We plan on hosting multiple local artists throughout the day. We'll drop a more complete line up as we get nearer to the day as we are still waiting on confirmations, but you can expect 30 minute blasts of scratch music/DJ sets/live beat creation from the following heavy hitting locals........ plus additional appearances from the Unlog/Artbeat/ScratchMobile families -Famelik and Dj Noyl of Unlog -Jonathan Rist -Rodroid -Tehu -Skribe -Nocide -00:00 If the two systems have any juice left after the sets, you can expect an open scratch session. As always, it's hard to know what a ScratchMobile session will look like. We're theoretically not supposed to be blasting portable system of that size in the parc, so the name of the game will be, 1. Don't piss the locals and parc goers off and 2. Be well cool if and when the cops show up. Show up before they have, and 9 out of 10 times we can keep on with our merry fun if we are respectful, light-hearted and cool. We can't wait to bring head nod to street corners this year, keep your eyes and ears open for ninjas on streetcorners.
