I need your feedback on the Queen of Hearts, the lesbian Pride Knight, for a deck of LGBTQ+ playing cards I am working on. My friend on Instagram @heyraksha made this beautiful composition:
The card features the Lesbian Pride Knight, with a fox holding the sunset pride flag in its mouth. Francesco (illustrator) and I were thinking of giving the fox an orange hue, and making the knight's hair color red to compliment the flag colors:

When I see people hating on Navier then praise Rashta by using the excuses of “Rashta used to be a slave and Navier was always lucky for being born a noble” or the excuse of “Navier didn’t try to stop slavery even though she had the power to.” As a naturally defensive and aggressive person I flip out, I know pretty stupid. So I’ve decided to rub the last two halves of my braincell together and give my opinion on it.

Ok, lets start.
Navier is/was originally the empress of the Eastern Empire. Her life was produced to become empress, from a young age she was taught manners and was lectured about all the responsibilities and matters regarding becoming empress. The society of nobles and even commoners in Remarried Empress has made her find that her only interest and reason of life was to carry out empress duties.
She lived her whole life with her childhood friend Sovieshu. Now, Sovieshu was very hateful towards his father/the late emperor because he disagreed towards his actions of getting several mistresses. He hated how he made his mother suffer and usually vented his anger to Navier.
They grew up knowing they would get married one day and live the “rest” of their lives as emperor and empress.
After getting married the roles and responsibilities coming with leading an empire got in the way of their communication. Which later brought Rashta. Rashta was a former slave who had ran away from her former slave owner (Viscount Roteschu) aka Viscount Ratsh*t. As she was running away she got caught in one of Sovieshu’s hunting traps. After finding her, he brought her home, promising to make her his mistress. Since Navier HAD harbored feelngs for Sovieshu for all this time, except she didn’t have the communication skills to show it, she felt hurt but managed to hide her feelings.
Marriage of convenience is very common in society. Which is what caused their relationship to fall apart in the first place.
Now, I’m not going to blame Rashta for homewrecking since she did it to survive from her former slave owner. I blame Rashta for being internally misogynistic towards HER OWN GENDER, coming after innocent people because she wants to step a higher level in court, intentionally trying to ruin someone’s life KNOWING what it’s like to live throughout many hardships, lying to someone about a family member dying then victimizing herself after KNOWING what it meant like to be lied to about a loved one dying and still doing it, and basically being an overall hypocrite while victimizing herself in every situation.
I’m not even going to go through ALL the things that she has done because my bones already hurt enough.
Navier does NOT support slavery. The only people that should be blamed for slavery is overall the Remarried Empress society. It’s also obvious how ESPECIALLY an empress wasn’t aloud to do anything about the situation. Especially since, if you actually PAY ATTENTION in history class it clearly states that slavery had been a thing since humanity first developed.
The only person you should “blame” for the slavery that went on in the Eastern Empire is Sovieshu. He had clearly felt bad for Rashta and even insulted Navier for not liking her. Why did he do it? Was it because of slavery? Was it because of all that she went through that he felt bad for her?…..NO. He had felt bad because she fit his circumstance and standards of a beautiful angel.
He had never showed any feelings towards other slaves other than Rashta. Can you blame him? Yes. But the question is, should you..? NO. The people you should blame are the early emperors in history, and overall society. In the Remarried Empress, ESPECIALLY with Navier, both empresses and emperors are taught to stay in their own business and are both told that their only purpose is to serve that role. It’s how society was structured.
And being born a noble isn’t that much of a flex either. Navier was brought up to become empress. She had been taught that THAT is the ONLY purpose for her. When she finally finds happiness with Heinry she realizes that there is SO much more that you can do with your life than follow what society wants you to be.
