What if mango had some goggle glasses they wore whenever swimming (or flying) alone. Like high functioning low fasion ugly ones. Do you think they would actually use those secretly or not even wear something like that because it’s “ugly” to them?

I think since dragons don’t need them while flying/swimming like people do, she wouldn’t really need goggles since they’d work the same as the horn glasses (she just needs the glasses prescription rather than wind/water resistance)

Howeverrrrr the fun answer is yes she absolutely would wear a goofy pair of goggles- Mango likes to dress nice but is definitely function over fashion at the end of the day. So if needed she would totally get decked out in a goofy pair of goggles if it meant a better way to look at critters underwater!

So Tumblr ate an ask I was replying to and I have no clue who sent it now :') I doodled a little reply before it disappeared though!

The question was whether Mangos glasses would have trouble staying on while swimming!

Definitely a fashion over function moment!

(And design over realism lol!) Realistically they probably would fall off a lot but thankfully she has her glasses chain to keep them tethered when they do! :)

I could deff see dragons having alternate glasses that wrap around the horns for swimming and flying though!

I have a question about your OC Mango!!! (No reason in particular I just like her a lot)

Can Mango breathe underwater like a seawing? And does she have webbed talons? Do her leaf shaped wings affect her swimming at all or no :O

(Genuinely no reason or pressure I js think shes neat)

Hii! I got really excited about Mango so i drew some of the answers lol!

-Mango can breathe underwater but not forever. She can hold her breath for a really long time like but needs to come up for air every so often.

-Her talons aren't webbed but actually hooked! I headcannon rainwings and leafwings have hooked claws for hanging onto trees, which also doubles as good for fishing! :)

-All her frilly bits help her paddle in the water and have nice agility! She can move underwater similar to an eel or manta ray depending on how she positions her wings. (I def imagine she’s a much better swimmer than flyer!)

Other stuff

-She’s a sea-leaf-rainwing

-She has a some dotted scales that glow!

-She can shoot venom but only from one fang bc I think its funny

-Her scales can shift a bit between a little greener or more orange (mainly because sometimes I like to stack orange overlays on her opps)

-Her back spines are based on an iguana and actually have a more rigid texture rather than hair/fur (aka I wanted an excuse to make her look like she has curly hair since shes my sona)
