how this scene starts, just with utter calm, our heros finally having some rest, the war finally over, the sun finally setting over a peaceful world

without fail, everytime i see this gif/scene/frame i am pulled in to its gentle atmosphere, i know its not even ten seconds long but it just feels like pure tenderness to me

ever think about how it’s stated time and time again in the show that fire, when not handled right, destroys everything in it’s path? remembering that zuko was such a soft and timid child before he got a burn scar from the fire lord probably demonstrates that best. it doesn’t just destroy things, it can also destroy people, on the outside, but more importantly on the inside too.
