Some Ways to Feel Elven/Fae
If you are an Elven or Fae soul, you remain so, no matter what. But you don't always feel like one. We are here, we are humans, we are on Earth, after all. We easily can get swept up in the heavy feeling of being human. And in those moments, you might want to reconnect with your Elven/Fae-self.
Here are some ideas to help you do so. Some little things that require minimal effort but can make you instantly feel better, and some bigger things you can do for a bigger impact. (sorry for the walls of text btw lol)
Wear elf ears! An obvious one lol Even if you're just at home chilling or going for a walk, they are fun to wear. Thankfully, Elf ears seem to have really hit the market bigtime, so you can find them almost anywhere. The hook-on type are easy to find, easy to wear, but may require recoloring and can fall off easily. There are alternatives. I wear ears from Elven Caravan and Aradani, but I hear Madhouse FX Studio makes some nice ones too. These kind of ears can be custom colored, look more natural, and are glued on with spirit gum or eyelash glue. Pointed ear cuffs and ear crawlers (pierced or non-pierced) are another alternative. I usually wear these kind to work because they feel Elven, but look more like jewelry to normies. There's also Elf ear headphones like these or these, which are fun and functional. You can also try the tape method.
Listen to Elven or Fae music. Some suggestions from me: Celtic Women, Enya, Sharm, Oceanlab, InnerSync, Secret Garden, Blackmore's Night, Forest Elves, the Fietcher brothers (Derek and Brandon).
Watch Elven, Fae, or magical movies/tv shows. Some suggestions from me: Lord of the Rings (obviously), the Tinker Bell films, The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns, The Dragon Prince, Strange Magic, Lego Elves, Legend (1985), Willow, Albion: The Enchanted Stallion (not a cheesy horse girl movie, I promise lol), The Secret of Moonacre. And of course, now we have Rings of Power!
Play video games where you can pay as an Elf character. Especially RPGs like The Elder Scrolls, World of Warcraft, Dragon Age, and Monster Hunter: World, and (upcoming) Baldur's Gate where you can customize your character and have choice between different types of Elven races.
Put up Elven/Fae imagery around you. Put an elf wallpaper up on your computer, as your phone or tablet background, and/or lockscreen. Have an elf image be your profile and cover pic on social media. Print out posters of elves and put them on your wall or corkboard.
Elf-ify your wardrobe! This may take some undertaking and a passion for fashion, but if you're really into it, building up an Elven/Fae wardrobe is the best medicine (to me) to feeling Elven again. I enjoy dressing as if I were an Elven enchantress living in the forest. I wear a lot of motifs relating to my identity as a moon elf: moons, leaves, trees, owls, deer, stars, etc. Getting into aesthetic fashions like Mori Kei/Dark Mori, Strega, Dark Boho, Fairycore, Dark Fairycore, Medieval Goth, and Dark Acadamia, has helped me be able to express my Elven self physically more than any thing else. If this is something you're interested in, I suggest stores like: Holy Clothing, Forest Girl Clothing, Folk Owl, Moon Maiden Clothing, and Elven Forest, If that's more than you'd like to spend, you can also find things at local thrift stores, antique malls, charity shops, and boutiques. There are also online thrift stores like ThredUp, Swap, and secondhand sites like Depop and Poshmark. Remember, you are Elven/Fae no matter what. Even in gym shorts and a baggy tshirt, or jeans and a polo. But wearing less modern fashions can help you get back into that Elven mindset.
For casual wearers: Wear Elven/Fae imagery! I have a bunch of t-shirts from The Mountain for days when I want to dress/present Elven, but I feel lazy or times a full fit wouldn't be practical. Hot Topic also sells fairy/elven design shirts, but purchase at your own risk. Although, I'm always scared it's stolen art.
Find (and decorate) your Elven Sanctuary. Whether it's your room, your closet, your studio, your whole house, or a spot in your backyard... It's so valuable to have a place where you can find yourself again and recenter. This should be a space where you can pray, meditate, read, draw/write/create, study, listen to music, concentrate, and just be. A place where no one can bother you, or you will be less likely to be bothered. When I lived with my parents, this was the house at night when everyone else was sleep. Now it's my own studio space and living room. Once you have found your sanctuary, decorate it! Doesn't have to be much. Could just be some elven or nature imagery, trinkets, alter, photos, plants, or you could go all out and put up a tapestry, and buy decorations just for that space.
Use Elven/Fae related Subliminals. This is certainly an... acquired taste. If you're not familiar, Subliminals are a manifestation aid. They are basically positive statements hidden in music and/or nature sounds. You listen to them enough that it gets into your subconscious and manifests in reality. I believe these are a great tool for Elven souls to use and maintain/manifest an Elven mindset and physicality. There are plenty of Elven related ones to use, but you should learn to be picky with them. Learn about using subs in general first and look for the right ones for you. Ones that work very well for me are from the channels Wings of Dreams, Akashic Light, and Nightshade Subliminals. I also make Elven subs myself, if you're curious.
Learn (an) Elven language(s). The most accessable to learn currently is probably Arvyndase. This is an Elvish language developed by The Silver Elves, a wise couple who you can directly talk to, ask questions about the language, and study from. There are many "incomplete" Elvish languages to play around with too: Darnassian, Thalassian, Dunmeris, Bosmeris, Quenya, Elvhenan, Sindarin, and others. Even if it's just a few words and phrases, it's fun to be able to know and say them. If you're musically inclined, it might also be a fun project to "translate" songs into an Elven language and record a cover.
