jason was actually surprised that they let the both of them back there, but he was overjoyed that they were able to hold her hand thought everything. he knew that she was nervous and hell he was nervous too but he had to keep calm so he wouldn’t freak her out anymore. if he freaked out, then he knew that they all wouldn’t know what to do. they sat through the whole appointment, and then waited out with her in the waiting room which felt like forever. all he wanted to do was shake one of them and ask what was going on, but he knew he just had to keep calm, for now. finally they were able to go back, and before jason could suggest amanda going with her, she quickly said he should go and they walked back in fear. “it’s okay.” he muttered as they walked, fingers intertwined before taking a seat in front of the doctor. thankfully nothing was wrong with the baby, but the minute the doctor said that this was a high-risk pregnancy, his eyes went wide. he knew camren wasn’t one to just stay in bed all day, so this was going to be such an adjustment to her, as well as him. he wanted to come to every doctor’s appointment, but twice a week seemed almost impossible. the doctor left the room for a moment for the two of them to process everything, and jason couldn’t help but to sip out the word vomit he had been keeping in. “we’ll be alright. i’ll… i’ll fight a bit more, go into some more competitions and get some more money. or i could work at the gym, or maybe train a couple of people, everything’s going to be alright. it’ll… it’ll be fine.” he said finally as he felt himself start to loose a little bit of breath from speaking too fast. he could only wonder what was going through her head, and he turned his seat so he was looking right at her. her job meant the world to her, and now she was going to have to quit due to the baby. “i’m gonna take care of you, the both of you.” thankfully his job was very unconventional so he didn’t have to be in at any certain hours but he just hoped they could handle everything for the next couple of months. “i promise.”
𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃, camren was grateful this wasn’t that big of an issue and most importantly, that the baby was alright. but on the other hand, this posed ten other different issues, meaning she would have to be at home, visit the doctor more than expected and, of course, money problem. camren didn’t want jason to fight more, she didn’t want to see him injured and she didn’t want him to go through hell just because she had to stay at home. she had to come up with something. and quickly. sighing, camren looks at him, taking his hand into hers. “ — that is exactly what i don’t want, jason. you... you can’t do this because of me, i will come up with something. i need to. i need to find a way to work from home, ” the blonde explained, still looking into his eyes. “ besides... the doctor said i can’t go through a lot of stress and you being away fighting more... that will definitely bring me stress, ” she added, hoping he understood where she was coming from. and that was another thing — camren didn’t want her not wanting him to fight as much to be another issue. she didn’t want to argue about it in the future, this was his job, it was what he did and she was going to respect that, no matter how much she liked it or not. but she would be grateful if he didn’t do even more fighting because of this. “ come on, let’s go, i think i’ve had enough of hospitals for the day, ” she sighed, getting up to leave with his hand still in hers, she didn’t want to let go. on their way out, camren explained everything to her sister. amanda felt bad for her, she wanted to help but there wasn’t really a way to do so. though the other woman promised to visit camren as often as possible and take care of her whenever jason couldn’t. “ i’m just... really thankful to have the two of you in my life right now. thank you, ” she says, almost a little teary. having support was the most important thing at the very moment and camren had that. “ do you want to get a cup of coffee maybe ? um, well... tea for me, i guess i can’t be having too much coffee now, ” she said with a chuckle.
