Kellianne Robinson

Hi, my name is Kellianne Robinson and I'm a concept and story artist. My goal is to create authentic stories to help expand worlds and open minds. As kids, some of our first experiences beyond our own families come from the media we see or the cartoons we watch. I want to help make these inclusive experiences any way I can. For my Beetlejuice project I had to do a Lydia turn around so here is some process work as I discovered what I wanted her and BJ to look like. Definitely wanted to stay true to the movie, but modernize her a little more. She’s just a moody teen goth.

Recently for my storyboarding and character design class I had to draw an environment/establishing shot for an animatic I’m doing of “Say My Name,” from Beetlejuice the musical. So here is a bit of my process. The first thing I did was take to Maya and 3D model a maquette of the house so I knew my proportions and everything would be on point. The second thing I did was take that model in to procreate so I could use the perspective tools to help me add some details and get the sketch down. Once I knew everything was looking right I transferred it on to paper and used only the very specific blue pencil my teacher required. I think everything turned out pretty good. I’m proud of what I got done with this new medium.
