               the  yun  family  is  everything  that  everyone  else  wants  to  be  .  prim  and  proper  ,  poised  and  perfect  .  rich  beyond  their  means  with  a  current  net  worth  of  seven  billion  dollars  ,  there’s  nothing  that  this  family  lacks  .  yun  hana’s  father  is  her  grandparents’  only  son  ,  who  passed  away  after  a  short  losing  battle  with  pneumonia  .  her  mother  ,  a  woman  that  her  father  planned  to  propose  to  before  his  death  ,  ran  off  only  a  month  after  she  was  born  and  immediately  married  a  man  living  in  canada  .  hana  was  adopted  by  her  grandparents  ,  and  has  seen  them  as  her  parents  ever  since  .

hana  is  well  known  for  her  long  hair  ,  which  she  dyed  blonde  when  she  was  twenty  .  she  has  kept  her  hair  primarily  blonde  ,  but  she  will  sometimes  dye  it  pink  or  lilac  (  click  colors  for  visuals  )  .  her  hair  is  kept  at  tailbone  length  .

she  has  always  been  the  type  who  was  able  to  hide  her  emotions  well  .  this  isn’t  to  say  that  she  won’t  let  someone  in  if  they  ask  if  she’s  okay  ,  but  she  doesn’t  readily  show  if  she  is  or  isn’t  .  

since  she’s  from  sydney  ,  hana’s  accent  isn’t  as  thick  as  it  once  was  .  she’s  been  living  in  the  us  since  she  was  thirteen  ,  so  the  accent  has  faded  a  little  bit  over  time  ,  but  it’s  still  very  prominent  .  

hana  lives  comfortably  in  the  hollywood  hills  .  she  lives  in  one  of  the  many  homes  that  her  grandparents  have  purchased  over  the  years  ,  and  she  has  a  number  of  staff  waiting  on  her  at  any  given  time  .  i  love  useless  details  ,  so  she  drives  an  electric  2023  porsche  taycan  .

personality  wise  ,  she’s  known  as  someone  who’s  able  to  get  what  she  wants  with  the  point  of  a  finger  and  the  bat  of  a  lash  .  has  a  strong  interest  in  people  as  a  whole  regardless  of  their  identifying  gender  .  she’s  a  jealous  person  ,  and  doesn’t  like  when  someone’s  she’s  interested  in  flirts  with  someone  else  even  if  they  haven’t  reached  that  level  of  exclusivity  .

at first daeho thought that inviting hana to catch up at his house had been a mistake, mostly because he feared it might be as awkward as the saint laurent event was but then he convinced himself that if they could hold a normal conversation during the christmas ball everything would be fine — it was just a matter of getting over their initial awkwardness and hopefully things would be normal between them …. at least he offered to hang out at his place and not some other public place — according to his manager there were already some whispers about them on social media and his team wasn’t the least happy about the fact . when he walked up to the door and opened it daeho couldn’t help his smile — it was clear that the blonde woman was nervous as well . “ hey, come in . ” he made way for her while his gaze fell in the bags, a short laugh escaping his lips . “ you didn’t have to but that’s cool, want to dig in right now ?”

               even  after  accepting  the  invitation  ,  hana  wondered  if  she  could  come  up  with  an  excuse  to  get  out  of  it  .  it  wasn’t  that  she  didn’t  want  to  catch  up  with  him  ,  but  more  about  being  alone  with  him  after  all  this  time  .  both  the  saint  laurent  event  and  christmas  ball  were  public  ,  and  she  can  only  hope  that  sharing  a  dance  at  the  christmas  ball  was  enough  to  push  them  over  that  hump  of  awkwardness  .  her  team  wasn’t  too  happy  about  the  innocent  dance—  in  their  eyes  ,  it  wasn’t  a  good  thing  to  be  spotted  with  an  ex  (  an  ex  fiancé  made  it  a  million  times  worse  )  .  hana  feels  her  face  warm  when  daeho  greets  her  ,  a  soft  smile  spreading  on  her  features  as  she  steps  inside  .  ‘  i  was  passing  by  and  couldn’t  help  myself  .  ’  she  toes  off  her  shoes  and  pushes  them  aside  with  her  foot  .  ‘  besides  ,  we  used  to  love  this  place  .  ’

            to  say  hana  was  nervous  was  a  massive  understatement  .  her  encounter  with  daeho  was  drastically  less  awkward  than  when  they  saw  each  other  at  the  saint  laurent  event  ,  and  perhaps  that’s  why  she  found  herself  sitting  in  the  back  seat  of  the  uber  ,  parked  outside  of  his  house  .  hana  accepted  his  invitation  to  come  over  without  hesitation  ,  but  now  that  was  she  was  there  ,  her  heart  was  settled  in  her  throat  .  after  a  few  moments  of  debating  on  running  for  the  hills  ,  hana  finally  gets  out  and  makes  her  way  to  the  front  door  .  she  rings  the  doorbell  and  pats  down  her  hair  ,  suddenly  self  conscious  and  wondering  if  she’s  overdressed  (  she’s  not  ,  she’s  wearing  jeans  for  christ’s  sake  )  .  hana  digs  her  teeth  down  into  her  lower  lip  ,  and  takes  a  couple  of  steps  back  when  the  door  swings  open  .  ‘  hi  ,  ’  she  speaks  with  a  soft  smile  and  raises  the  bags  in  her  hands  .  ‘  i  brought  food  .  ’

“  you’re  telling  me.  “  a  low  chortle  sounds  ,  hand  extending  to  reach  for  the  femme.  social  events  ,  galas  and  soirees  were  all  invitations  for  gaining  discreet  intel  about  other  guests.  it’s  minor  entertainment  for  the  male  ,  but  it  passes  time.  liquor  ,  a  fine  accomplice  in  the  insufferable  environments.  with  free  hand  ,  steals  hana’s  heels  from  her  grasp  to  carry  ,  not  willing  to  take  resistance  as  a  response.  “  depends  what  you  fancy  and  how  sore  the  soles  of  your  feet  are.  “  faded  irish  lilt  radiates  ,  offers  comfort  but  remains  stern.  

                    such  events  always  had  a  way  of  making  hana  completely  exhausted—  there  had  to  be  a  way  to  minimize  the  number  of  appearances  she  had  to  make  .  hana  doesn’t  fight  flynn  when  he  takes  her  shoes  ,  hand  slipping  into  his  own  with  ease  .  ‘  how  many  more  must  we  suffer  through  ?  ’  the  blonde  sighs  dramatically  ,  leaning  her  head  against  the  taller’s  arm  .  she  thinks  for  a  moment  ,  biting  the  tip  of  her  tongue  between  her  teeth  .  ‘  i’m  in  the  mood  for  fries  ,  and  a  milkshake—  wait  ,  let’s  do  in  -  n  -  out  .  ’  hana  thinks  it’s  tame  enough  considering  the  time  of  night  .  ‘  and  i’m  sure  the  hotel  has  a  spare  pair  of  slippers  i  can  borrow  .  ’

THESE  THINGS  ALWAYS  MADE  HER  NERVOUS  —-  never  liked  talking  about  herself  ,  always  about  other  things  aviva  found  more  interesting.  unlike  the  rest  of  hollywood  ,  she  finds  it  embarrassing.  makes  her  face  all  red  hot  in  the  way  that’s  so  uncomfortable.  but  here  she  is  ,  reeling  from  all  the  red  carpet  questions.  thanks  to  her  manager  ,  the  hype  around  her  first  single  gaining  slowly  and  now  she  has  to  do  all  sorts  of  actual  industry  things  ,  instead  of  her  doing  it  from  the  safety  of  her  couch.  standing  in  front  of  the  open  bar  ,  aviva  takes  a  sip  of  her  drink  and  nods  to  the  person  next  to  her.  “you  see  those  two?”  another  nod  of  her  head  in  front  of  them  –  a  couple  ,  she’d  seen  them  before  on  magazines.  heavy  on  the  pda  and  honestly  ,  it’s  kind  of  embarrassing.  “how  long  do  you  think  it’ll  take  of  the  excessive  tongue  before  they  get  kicked  out?  it’s  been  a  solid  ten  minutes  so  far.”

              events  and  after  parties  was  something  that  hana  had  to  get  used  to  .  her  parents  had  wealth—  there  was  no  doubt  about  it  ,  but  there  was  a  major  difference  between  having  money  and  having  fame  .  hana  managed  to  have  both  ,  but  the  first  few  years  were  rocky  as  for  some  time  ,  she  had  been  seen  as  nothing  more  than  a  girl  with  a  high  instagram  following  and  the  ability  to  buy  designer  labels  straight  from  the  runway  .  she  still  struggles  with  finding  her  footing  at  such  events  ,  but  making  simple  conversation  and  snagging  a  couple  of  drinks  always  managed  to  make  the  night  pass  a  bit  quicker  .  she’s  patiently  waiting  for  the  bartender  to  finish  with  her  peach  margarita  ,  a  bit  surprised  when  aviva  speaks  to  her  .  her  attention  follows  the  other  woman’s  line  of  sight  .  ‘  they  probably  won’t  ,  ’  she  sighs  ,  brows  knitting  together  as  the  couple  seem  to  be  trying  to  become  one  with  each  other  .  ‘  couples  around  here  tend  to  be  in  their  own  world  ,  and  everyone  at  these  kinds  of  parties  tend  to  ignore  them  .  ’

if daeho stopped to think long and hard about his current predicament he’d be astonished at his brain’s ability to compartmentalize information — because even though it’s been ages since the last time he was face to face with hana, he can’t lie to himself and pretend he hasn’t been keeping up with her every move through social media … to the point that updates about her randomly pop up on his timeline every other day. so really, he shouldn’t be as surprised as he is of running into her that night. “ i’ve been doing fine- really great to be honest…. what about you ?” it was awkward, he was aware of it and the smile he forced didn’t really help his cause that much. “ it’s uh, nice to see you again. ”

               there’s  no  way  hana  could  have  not  known  that  daeho  would  be  here  tonight  .  it’s  public  knowledge  that  the  two  were  signed  to  saint  laurent  ,  so  it  was  only  a  matter  of  time  before  they  attended  the  same  event  .  well  ,  there’s  that  and  she  secretly  followed  a  daeho  updates  account  on  her  finsta  ,  but  he  didn’t  need  to  know  that  .  ‘  that’s  good  ...  great  ,  even  .  ’  hana  brightens  up  her  voice  a  bit  more  than  she  should  have  ,  feeling  the  apples  of  her  cheeks  warm  almost  uncomfortably  .  ‘  i’m  okay—  i’ve  been  okay  .  ’  oh  my  god  ,  shut  up  !  hana  smooths  her  hands  over  the  front  of  her  dress  ,  swearing  that  her  palms  have  grown  sweatier  in  the  last  ten  minutes  .  she  feels  a  bit  of  her  tension  slowly  fade  then  ,  a  smile  tugging  at  her  lips  .  ‘  it’s  nice  to  see  you  too  .  ’

after working with saint laurent for so long, daeho’s promotion to ambassador of the brand was only a matter of time — it was finally made official while he was in the middle of his latest world tour, so he couldn’t participate in any of the events that followed the announcement until after wrapping up the tour and flying back to the states. so it was to be expected his attendance to the event taking place that night was such a big thing for him. the night had gone by wonderfully up until that point, discussing the latest released pieces with other attendees and representatives of the brand — hearing his name the singer turned towards the owner of the voice and pretty much froze in his tracks…. hana ?? of course, she was the ambassador, of course she would be there as well, but for some reason it just escaped his mind — or maybe he convinced himself there wouldn’t be a need for them to cross paths in such a big event. “ ah, evening hana. ” he rushes to greet his ex as he feels the weirded out gaze of the model he was talking to, having to excuse himself with a small nod of his head. “ it’s been a while, uh. ” mentally slapping himself, how can he be so lame at a moment like that ??

               hana  loved  her  job—  she  really  did  ,  but  it  was  moments  like  this  where  she  wished  she  could  launch  herself  off  a  tall  building  .  no  ,  she  and  daeho  didn’t  end  on  bad  terms  ,  but  it’s  been  a  long  while  since  they’d  seen  each  other  .  hana  expected  a  lot  of  things  to  happen  on  this  night  .  maybe  she’d  talk  about  the  perfume  that  was  on  display  ,  or  she  would  try  on  one  of  the  jackets  she  saw  somewhere  in  the  space  ,  but  she  did  not  expect  to  run  into  daeho  .  she  doesn’t  know  why  she  expected  for  him  to  not  hear  her  ,  but  when  he  speaks  to  her  she  swears  she  feels  her  chest  constrict  .  ‘  hi  ,  daeho  ...  yeah  .  it’s  been  a  really  long  time  ...  ’  she  attempts  to  not  come  off  as  a  robot  ,  but  something  is  telling  her  that  she’s  failing  miserably  .  she  tucks  her  hair  behind  her  ear  ,  clearing  her  throat  quietly  .  ‘  um  ...  how  have  you  been  ?  ’

the expression of complete concern and sympathy remained on jackson’s face. it’s why he was one of the most sought after talk show hosts after all. he knew how to make people comfortable, got them to spill things that they normally wouldn’t and kept people coming back. he knew that the ratings of tonight’s episode would soar through the roof and he couldn’t help but internally gloat to himself for landing such a sought after guest. he let out a loud laugh along with the audience at the dig she made about the tape, hands clapping together as he acted as if it was the funniest thing he’s ever heard in the world and as she continued to speak, he nodded along to every work, as though he were listening intently and with care. “well, here on the tonight show, we’ve got some amazing editors who can bleep you out with any sound effect you want, don’t worry nbc.” he said, winiking towards the camera before looking back at her. “but back to that, i think that what happened says everything about them and more about you and the fact that you have so much more going for you just proves that good people always win in the end, right?” he said with a nod, causing an applause from the audience. “you’re much better than all of that nonsense and we’re all very happy to see you rise above it, so kudos to you.” he said with a grin, “now tell me, have either of them at least apologized to you? what were those first  conversations like after the tape dropped?”

               to  talk  so  openly  about  the  thing  that  hurt  her  the  most  was  overwhelming  .  no  ,  it  wasn’t  the  tape  that  hurt  .  if  they  wanted  to  film  something  like  that  then  that  was  their  own  prerogative  ,  but  having  two  people  in  her  life  that  she  cared  about  decide  to  hurt  her  in  that  way  made  hana  question  everything  .  clearly  ,  neither  of  them  cared  about  her  feelings  .  they  slept  together  ,  and  maybe  hana  wouldn’t  still  be  carrying  her  grudge  if  she  didn’t  find  out  when  the  rest  of  the  world  did  .  did  they  think  that  little  of  her  ?  did  they  think  it  was  okay  to  sleep  with  each  other  ,  film  it  ,  but  then  continue  to  hang  out  with  her  as  if  nothing  happened  ?  for  ford  to  kiss  her  knowing  what  he  had  done  ?  they  were  questions  that  hana  doesn’t  want  the  answers  to  anymore  ,  no  matter  how  much  they  continued  to  gnaw  at  her  .  ‘  well  ,  thank  god  for  your  editors  ,  hmm  ?  we  aussies  tend  to  get  a  little  loose  lipped  at  times  .  ’  she’s  sure  that  not  all  feedback  from  this  episode  will  be  positive  ,  and  hana  has  already  prepared  herself  for  it  .  she  wasn’t  afraid  of  being  called  the  scorned  ex  girlfriend  anymore—  it  is  what  it  is  .  ‘  no  ,  neither  of  them  has  .  ’  hana  shrugs  her  shoulders  nonchalantly  .  ‘  and  really  ,  i  don’t  expect  them  to  .  i  probably  would  have  been  more  forgiving  if  they  didn’t  lie  to  me  and  smile  in  my  face  .  in  ford’s  case  ,  i  didn’t  let  him  talk  to  me—  he’s  been  blocked  since  i  found  out  .  ’  hana  gently  pats  the  corner  of  jackson’s  desk  with  a  laugh  .  ‘  i  don’t  want  their  apologies  .  knowing  felicity  she’d  tell  me  that  this  is  hollywood  and  i  should  get  over  it  ,  and  ford  ...  well  ,  he’ll  probably  find  a  way  for  his  team  to  send  me  some  doctored  notes  app  apology  .  ’
