Back then Tae/Jimin/Hobi shared a room, and Jungkook would come over quite a lot. For some reason (i can’t think of any) Tae didn’t wanna be in that room anymore:
…and ended up moving in with Namjoon. Guess what? Jungkook still kept going to Jimin’s room
BV1: Tae/Jimin/Hobi/Jungkook are choosing places in the camping car to sleep. Jungkook, with other options, lets the other three know that he’ll be sleeping with Jimin
BV1: the boys play a game to see who gets a room and who gets the couch. Jungkook seems pretty excited to room with Suga, while Jimin was kinda down about getting the couch:

Needs Jimin to see him as an equal
He doesn’t show this desire with anyone else. Members gave him the greenlight to drop honorifics a long time ago, and he declined. Yet somehow he wants that with Jimin. How easily he falls into the maknae role with other members, but tries to hold his own around Jimin. Remember that Run episode where Jungkook begged Tae and Jin for food? when he was using extreme honorifcs like “hyung-nim” with a childlike expression on his face?
In BV2 when they played a game for food and Jungkook lost, Jimin asked to play again so Jungkook could be given some money for food. Jungkook was like “NO I’m fine.” No way was he gonna let Jimin rescue him! He’s a man! Oh but he had no problem begging Tae and Jin for food, and acting like a child
reminds me of the time Jin said Jungkook didn’t know how to make meat and that the hyungs always had to do it for him. Jimin was like “he tries it with me sometimes.” Of course he’d put effort with Jimin. Then there’s the fansign where he was asked to write the mental ages of the members and he made only himself and Jimin the same age
Jungkook’s a genuinely sweet guy, with no clue how to be mean. He almost never joins in when a member’s being teased. But the thing is, he’s extra sensitive and more assertive when that member is Jimin. Jimin gets teased for his MCing skills. Jungkook: “hyung you’re doing fine! You’re doing fine!” members laugh at Jimin’s cooking and claim it tastes like pickled pollack roe. Jungkook: ” I love pickled pollack roe!” etc.
Even though all he has to do is breathe to make him laugh, he still puts in the work! I don’t see him trying to make others laugh the way he tries with Jimin
I think the cutest thing I ever read was an interview where Jimin said whenever he was still, Jungkook would come and make a fool of himself just to make him laugh. what this tells me is that Jimin’s mood greatly affects Jungkook’s mood. I mean you’d have to care a lot about someone to have this desire to constantly see them in a good mood
I really love this moment. he does something goofy and instantly looks at Jimin for a reaction…knowing how much he loves Jimin’s eye smile adds another layer to this moment
His desire to let Jimin and the world know how much he knows Jimin
I think the saddest moment in vlive history was when Jungkook kept repeating that Jimin likes sour food, and everyone just…ignored him. That was honestly soo cringe and sad. I feel like members are probably used to this behavior and have learned to ignore him out of self-preservation
Jimin asked about his favorite artist. Jungkook yells out “Chris Brown!” Jimin asked about what he’d be doing if he wasn’t in BTS. Jungkook starts making fencing moves. Hobi answers a question about Jimin correctly. Jungkook explains that he also knew the answer…even though he was partnered with Hobi and it really shouldn’t matter. I don’t see him being this way with other members.
