Hey, you okay? I saw your post about abandoning this blog because you felt the Hellsing fandom was toxic (I only lurk for the pretty pictures, so I wouldn't know if you're right) and it just made me feel like you were having a lot of negativity in your life and that post was just the tip of the metaphorical iceberg. (I could be wrong.) Sorry if I'm being weird and invasive, but I am a certified mom-friend and you are pinging all of my concerned-mom buttons. Hope everything goes better for you!

Yes, IMO, I feel the fandom is toxic. It’s a major downside to most fandoms, unfortunately. I used to think that Hellsing could be an exception, as there are a few fandoms that are actually chill and genuinely positive. But I was wrong. It’s just as bad. Pick a reason, and you’d probably be correct.Not to mention the interactions I was once getting have since plummeted to zero, for seemingly no reason; although I’m pretty sure I know what the reasons are. So my abandoning this blog, is me taking control of the situation and walking away. I can not continue with something that no longer benefits me in any positive fashion - and in actuality, makes me feel worse the more I try to make it better.

I’m going back to being an outsider. However, I will be sticking to my roleplay blogs, as those bring me at least some joy.

...I really should just go. There’s nothing keeping me here, and no reason to continue this blog, or make anything worthwhile for it. Not even as a dumping ground for the stuff I come across. I love Hellsing, and always will, but this fandom - at least on this site - is a god damned travesty that will happily ghost and push away anyone the instant they become an inconvenience. Build them up with lip service, set them on a pedestal - ‘oh you’re this’, ‘oh you’re that’, ‘oh you’re so popular’... Not that I took any of the popularity shit seriously. But still... Knocking people down and leaving them in the dust, at times for no other reason than because they know something they shouldn’t, or refuse to tolerate bullshit that shouldn’t have to be tolerated. I’ve been on tumblr for six years, and this is the first blog I severely regret making. I never should have joined. I was better off being an outsider. Better off without the heartbreak, and being stuck watching abuse with no real way of helping those it was happening to; and the outcome being the same regardless of whether or not anything could be done. This is truly a hellscape, with more devils than non. And I wash my hands of it.
