another practice of using the "grayscale to color" method - it's a life-changing method for me since I tend to struggle with applying colors directly onto my paintings so using this technique was a good way to focus on values rather than colors which for me personally, is an effective workflow as of now especially for portraits. I'd like to try the method on environmental paintings too some other time - 🩵

Easing my way back into art by making some food illustrations! 🍓 Hello, it's been a while, I know. I honestly didn't expect my 'little break' from making art took so long, whoops . I blinked and suddenly, it's almost December? Exactly one month left of 2024? That's just crazy. Then again, it's always the same feeling every year when the final month approaches. I hope everyone else is doing okay, hopefully the upcoming new year won't be too overwhelming. Anyway, I've been making small projects so far, taking little steps back into art, familiarizing myself with it all again. I've something new to share as well, I've switched from using Krita (an old time favorite painting software) with @clipstudioofficial ! It was a really fun experience so far since it's similar to Krita, so it didn't take me long to get into the rhythm of using it. All in all, It's nice to be back here again ^_^

these days, I honestly don't know where my art is going but i'm slowly embracing the uncertainties & growth that comes along on this journey. there were some ideas that I started but was kept in the drafts, some of them I managed to commit till the end. such is the life as a creative, you get to explore different ways of expressing yourself, learning about different art forms & techniques. you're not meant to be stuck in a box anyway. so be brave enough to try something new for a change ^_^

a lil self reflection - life won't always go in the way you want or wish to be. you may have put in your best efforts to change the course of your life. you may also have moments where you pray long & hard for something, anything. but despite your best attempts, nothing seemed to work. why? it isn't because you're not worthy of it. but you might be worthy of something better, greater even. maybe all those doors closing on you might be leading you to the door that's meant for you to open. so don't lose hope. it will take some time and that's okay. enjoy the journey, take a few stops along the road to admire the little things in front of you. yes life is hard, there will be difficult days but give yourself some grace. you're doing well, don't worry. 🤍🌙✨️

hello, here's my 2023 art summary! 🌙💫

it has been a "now my life is sweet like cinnamon" kind of year. a year of growth, unexpected twists & turns, of taking risks but it has been a kind year to me too. i'm grateful for all the love, support & blessings i've received this year & i hope to be able to make more art in the future. here's to a better, kinder 2024 🤍🕊
