Both sides of this are pretty shitty imo. I’m fine with drawing characters a little lighter or darker than canon based on drawing style/lighting, but this goes way too far and is honestly gross.

I dont have a problem with people drawing fictional characters as a different “race.” White, black, brown, whatever. Theyre not real. And it gives people the chance to experiment with character design.

I understand that, but it typically is rooted in racism and I generally just don't think it's something you should do. It doesn't really make sense to me either; "why would you want to change a character's race in the first place" sort of thing.
