You chose everything. If you can't remember, you chose that too. You can just as easily decide to remember instead. The past is whatever you want it to be, say you actually shifted here from Hogwarts and so you did.

There are a fair share of people saying "but I'd never chose to live here-" because circumstances or whatever. However, knowing the shifting community, do you think your Hydra-captured MCU-self had a fucking blast? You chose that too. Whatever got into you to script all that stuff, is apparently very on brand when you are complaining right now too.

Many individuals I know, like to start new lives from the afterlife and forget their previous ones in the meantime - doesn't have to be the norm, of course - they eventually come back and remember it all.
