TBHK Doodles
I've been away (and am still away) so here are some half baked doodles I've done
happy pride months nightlifers ☆⌒(ゝ。∂)
don’t forget your roots do u see the color scheme!
nene yashiro will always be my favorite manga/anime protagonist because literally no one is doing it like her. she's such a wonderful character. i always love the ones that take a really common stereotype for women or girls and flip it to make it much better and more interesting and nene is one of my favorite examples.. i love that she's so focused on romance but it feels more like a character trait than sexism because she's just so earnest about it. those kinds of emotions are completely congruent with the rest of her character and so it adds to her instead of detracting from her.
but also, she just loves herself so sincerely. she's so well adjusted that the story's conflict comes from her being too normal rather than too weird. she's insecure especially near the beginning but she never seems to be ashamed of the person that she is -- she feels remorse when her actions lead to something bad but she's not riddled with guilt over it; she dislikes her legs and her bust size but she focuses less on it as the series progresses. she develops as a character but her personality barely changes because 1) she's resilient and 2) she loves herself, in every sense of the word. she values who she is now rather than wanting badly to change.
maybe she's not super popular with boys but she has friends and people she's familiar with, she's kind, and friendly: she's just some girl, and the story works so well because she's so normal. she's scared of bugs, she's not very good at school (at least enough that she had to worry about remedial classes), she does foolish things, she's reckless and impulsive. she's only fifteen, and she's not used to this world, so what more would you expect from her? but she manages to survive through everything, she continues trying knowing she's going to die, she believes that everything will be okay as it is because she is stronger than she ever thought she could be. it's less that she changes as a person and more that she recognizes parts of her that she couldn't see before. i love you nene yashiro
Colorings I found in my gallery a long time ago around 2024 lol
I don't think this is very 'domestic' of you Hanako...
The Clock Keepers
Love how all 3 of them represent their assigned times emotionally.
Mirai being the future is carefree, happy, and ditzy. In East Asian countries the future is usually behind you since you're oblivious to it. (It even reflects in their languages. In Japanese for example: "I'll see you in 2 hours behind") So Mirai is quite oblivious and generally happy and out of it. And as Akane loves saying, very very very dumb.
Kako is smart and calculating. He has the information of the past at his disposal. He puts emotional distance between what he feels and what he does, since he knows how current actions will reflect on the past into the future.
And then even Akane, an honourary half-baked wonder represents his time. He's impulsive, reckless, emotional, and boisterous. His emotions swing from one thing to the next depending entirely on how he is feeling in that exact moment. No thought of the past or future.
It's just a fun little detail about how each of them is written. It's really good character creation!!
Somewhere Over The Rainbow
"And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true"
Wish? Dream? Both (お)願い in Japanese.
It's Air-senpai
Even if they're not the same age they're still clearly identical twins lol
Teacher amanes so silly (at least when not possessed) I love him >w<
Nene would fold IMMEDIATELY
I guess you could say he’s ve… he’s a very h…
Honestly the amount of paragraphs I've written then deleted have me on the brink of just writing "help" and wishing for the best...
I think there is already a common understanding that Tsukasa is quite perceptive:
So I was thinking what if in the recent chapter, he actually recognised Amane? When Tsukasa is with his brother, he blushes a lot (or when he talks about him):
And when Amane saves him from falling down and 'escapes' the house, Tsukasa gives him a long look until:
He blushes again!! I think he realises that's his brother grown up!!! AHH!
...
Or I'm just coping.
But then again, he is a good listener, he remembered Yashiro (and how she turns into a fish) and perhaps even Kou (with his Mitsuba issue). So maybe, he's putting things together when Amane says that the future would be different.
DON'T TRUST THAT CUTE FACE!!!
Keyword here is almost guys
Sick and twisted that Aida DELIBERATELY gave Tsukasa 'vessel for the red house entity' Yugi a shirt that says PUPPET in BIG BOLD letters
You know what I never planned to see you again..but I am some grateful I got to.
My best friend managed to get his painting to Mitski in Paris!!
Next objective, give Conan Gray his painting!!
