The downside to chrome it takes a minute to load a long story, the upside is I can access it anywhere.

So I have a new gaming computer so excited. Downside can’t really use it or I shouldn’t till NaNoWriMo is done

Sometimes

Sometimes I just want to do something different but if I don't stay focused on the story at hand I know I will get off track and will not complete it and I want to finish it! Either way it helps relax me after a night I wish I wasn't involved in.

I don’t want to do anything except curl up and sleep, but its D&D today plus a word count I need to hit. I should have written while on lunch.

Distractions

So once ALL distractions are out of the way, it is fairly easy to hammer out some word lengths. Though people seem to be the easiest distraction that I know of.

November Mornings

Nice and cool snuggled up in fuzzy PJs and a good tea to write out your word count. Till of course the laundry calls for you to leave your warm and comfy space.

Choices

If only my paycheck didn’t look so good! Then I could stay home and type all night! Wait I have to GM in the morning dammit gotta get ready for that too! NaNo WriMo is here though!

Witch awakening

“So you guided her to the coven, and pretended to show affection?” The male voice made her stop in her tracks and blink.

“No she is rather attractive, but I do not love her. I followed orders that if her powers showed up she would be brought to the coven. That is what I did.” She recognizes the second voice, it was Arthur. The head knight of the witch queen, he had been with her these last few months and she thought he cared for her.

“Then the queen will be happy.” The second voice said she recognized it as one of the witch queen’s knights. She moved away silently feeling dirtier than she had ever had. Yet she still had to be awakened as a black witch. Tonight was the ceremony.

Taking a breath she was in the library once more all by herself orbs of light floated in the air as she read through the pages of the book she needed. “What are you doing up so late Marie? You have your swearing in tomorrow.”

Turning to Arthur with blank eyes, she had never been able to wash away the feeling of being dirty, and meeting his gaze and seeing him try to make her feel for him like she had before just driven her down deeper into that feeling. “I am researching something.” She admitted closing the book so he didn’t see.

She saw the look that crossed his eyes, he had seen what she had done. “Are you hiding something from me?”

“I don’t believe I have to tell you anything at this moment.” She reminded, she protected herself from the pain she felt right now. She had to follow through with her promise, if he was here her time in the library was up.

Taking his offered hand she let him guide her away.

Well...

I now know it has a name or well sort of... I think Fictober is for fanfiction, yet all myself is originalish...  So here is to Fictober... Promptober... dangit trying to get ready for nano! That is what I call it, so I am gonna try and post, though I will be getting them all out here... hopefully

6 Essential Tips for a Successful NaNoWriMo

As we begin to dive into NaNo Prep season, we’ve talked to some participants to get the inside scoop on how to best prepare for November. Today, writer Clara Nyx shares her top tips for “winning” NaNoWriMo:

Most people, at some point in their life, have thought of writing a novel. But few of them start writing that novel. And even fewer can say: “I wrote a book.” The reasoning behind this is simple, and everyone who’s tried their hand at writing knows it: writing a novel is hard and time-consuming. The excitement to tell your story turns into: “This makes no sense. An 8-year-old could write a better story. My vocabulary is trash.”

In this mindset, it’s easy to postpone writing that novel for a few more months until you become more literate, wise, intelligent, or a better writer. Then those “few months” turn into a few years as you realize that your vocabulary hasn’t changed, you haven’t gotten smarter… You haven’t improved as a writer because you didn’t write. 

Want to become a writer? Then write as much as you can! Overcome procrastination and sit your butt down in front of that blank page.

The hard part about having my brain is that it is active, and anything can send it off the current train of thought I am writing. Getting it back on task is harder sometimes than I like.
