People with these placements don’t truly see how beautiful they really are, they often look better than they think

disclaimer: beauty is subjective and your whole chart matters. these are just patterns i’ve noticed, especially looking at venus, moon, neptune, the ascendant and self-image placements. take what resonates and leave what doesn’t 🤍
✧ venus in the 12th house
this is honestly one of the biggest ones i think of.
i’ve noticed people with venus in the 12th house can have a very strange relationship with their own attractiveness because their beauty feels “hidden” to them. other people may notice their charm, softness or something special about them immediately, but they personally struggle to understand what everyone else is seeing.
they can look in the mirror and see every tiny flaw while completely missing the qualities that make them memorable.
this placement often gives the energy of someone who doesn’t realise they are someone else’s type until someone literally tells them.
venus retrograde can create a very internal relationship with beauty, love and self-worth.
i’ve noticed people with this placement often don’t see their own beauty in the same way others do because they are constantly questioning their own value or comparing themselves to some ideal version of beauty.
the interesting thing is that venus retrograde often develops a very unique kind of attractiveness because the person isn’t always trying to fit a standard. their beauty can become more personal, unusual or something people notice slowly.
they can genuinely have people admiring them while they’re thinking “wait… me?”
✧ neptune aspects to venus
especially venus square/opposite/conjunct neptune.
this can create a weird disconnect between how beautiful someone actually is and how they perceive themselves.
neptune can make people idealise beauty, so they may compare themselves to unrealistic images and feel like they don’t measure up.
meanwhile, other people may see them as dreamy, artistic, soft or captivating.
it’s giving “everyone else sees the aesthetic except you” .
✧ saturn aspects to venus
venus square saturn, venus opposite saturn, venus conjunct saturn.
this is such a self-criticism placement.
i’ve noticed these people can be extremely harsh on themselves physically and emotionally. they often focus on what they need to improve rather than what already makes them attractive.
the funny thing is saturn beauty often ages beautifully. people with these aspects can become more confident and comfortable in themselves over time because their attractiveness develops with maturity.
they may not see it when they’re younger, but other people often do.
nah because virgo venus notices every single tiny imperfection 😭.
they can be genuinely beautiful and still focus on one small thing they don’t like.
they analyse their appearance, their style, their behaviour and how they come across constantly.
the irony is that the same attention to detail that makes them critical is often what makes them attractive. they usually have a very refined, intentional beauty that other people notice.
this one is interesting because it can create a disconnect between how someone feels internally and how attractive they actually appear.
they may not always feel emotionally aligned with their own appearance.
there can be moments where they feel beautiful one day and completely insecure the next because their emotional state changes their perception of themselves.
other people may consistently see their charm while they experience their own beauty as inconsistent.
this can create someone who grew up being emotionally serious or self-critical.
they may have learned to focus on what needs fixing rather than appreciating themselves.
i’ve noticed these people can underestimate their softness because they’re used to being responsible, controlled or composed.
people often see their maturity, calmness and elegance before they see it themselves.
✧ neptune in the 1st house
this placement can create a very interesting self-image.
people may see them as dreamy, unique or almost impossible to define, but they may struggle to understand their own appearance because they don’t see themselves objectively.
they can look completely different depending on their mood, expression, lighting or style.
it’s very “everyone has a different description of you because your energy changes.”
this is an underrated one.
people with pluto in the 1st house can have very memorable appearances, but they may focus more on what feels intense or imperfect about themselves.
they often don’t realise the impact their presence has because they are so used to being themselves.
other people may find them magnetic while they’re just thinking about their flaws.
✧ chiron in the 1st house
this can create sensitivity around appearance and identity.
someone may have a part of themselves they feel insecure about, but that exact thing can become what makes them unique.
i’ve noticed people with this placement often become much more comfortable with their appearance as they heal and stop seeing themselves through old insecurities.
this is such an interesting one because venus represents beauty and attraction, but the square can create tension between how someone presents themselves and how attractive they actually are.
they may not feel naturally beautiful or may feel like they don’t fit the image they want.
meanwhile, other people may find their appearance extremely charming.
✧ venus opposite ascendant
this can create a person who sees themselves very differently from how others see them.
because venus sits opposite the self-image point, other people can sometimes recognise their attractiveness more easily than they do.
they may not understand why people are drawn to them.
pisces energy can be so focused on emotional beauty, fantasy and ideals that they forget to appreciate their own physical presence.
they often see beauty everywhere except themselves.
the irony is that the softness, kindness and dreamy energy they overlook is usually exactly what people find attractive.
✧ the funniest thing i’ve noticed
some of the people who genuinely don’t understand why others find them attractive are the exact people with placements that make them naturally captivating.
they’re too busy analysing their flaws, comparing themselves or focusing on what they want to change.
meanwhile someone else is remembering their smile, their voice, their eyes or the way they carried themselves.
sometimes the reason you don’t see your own beauty is because you experience yourself every day.
other people get to experience you as something new 🤍
